Yippee! Was really hoping for more but I will take it. I have been at Boy Scout Camp with my youngest daughter all week in this horrible heat. We have learned so many things and had a blast! Today is the last day and we get to swim so it will be a nice cool down for sure! I’m hoping to keep up the 1.5 loss per week for awhile, that would be awesome! 😉5 -

Can i change my green pledge to 2lb please2
-
I can't remember what my green pledge was, but I think I have surpassed it. Happy to increase if it helps the team!3
-
weighin was 217.2 (travelling yesterday and this am is higher but hope that's sodium again)2

My morning comment about yesterday's biking seems to have gotten lost in cyberspace somewhere .... so I repeat. And expand.
Yesterday, I "biked" (stationary recumbent in the cool of the basement) 5 minutes (very) HIIT when I got home from work, then another 15 minutes (three 5-minute slightly lower IITs back to back) in the late evening. For those 15 minutes, I was also "virtually (visually) hiking" the first leg of the South Downs Trail from Winchester to Eastbourne. ( a youtube set of 6 parts)
I made a point of doing a 5-minute HIIT set today (after weigh-in / while morning coffee-maker was doing its thing) and Hubby is under orders to REMIND ( read BUG/NAG if necessary! ) me to do at least one 5-minute set right after work and another after supper. If I don't also do any game-walking, it has to be MORE than 5 minutes biking after supper.
Given the difference in calories burned per time invested .... this needs to become more of a routine "just how my day is organized" thing ... particularly come the Fall when more and more of the evening NEEDS to be devoted to French review. Right now, it is more like "playing at Duolingo French" review ~ 15 minutes per day at bedtime just before lights out. (85+ consecutive Duo-day streak still going strong!)4 -
Happy Friday continues!
I hope those of you in areas hit by the North American heat wave (part IV?) are doing OK. I had a lot of heavy garden work today and it was pretty nasty out there - I don't know how those of you who live where it is this hot and humid all summer can take it! At least we have cool nights and the heat does not go on for too long. Tomorrow is supposed to be even worse, but then some good thunderstorms to bring in the relief.
I have had a really bad week, though. Put back on what I had hoped to lose, and have been slack about intense exercise. I blame it on the heat, but I'm sure I could do it if I just stopped being wimpy. As we know, getting out of a slump ain't a piece of cake. At least there is no cake in the house!
SO. I'll nag you all since nagging myself isn't working too well. Poor you!
Some today (and late) weigh-ins still due:
@karenesg
@Blackbeautysue
@Connie7355
@leni1us
@visiri
@wlcmac81
And HEADS UP for Saturday weigh-ins:
@evangsimmons170
@matthewsfive
@Micki48
@Terytha
@SueSueDio
@Loriab901
Please get all these in tomorrow by midnight wherever you live. I hate to put on those NO WEIGH IN notifications. Last week, the Workout Warriors had absolutely everyone weighed in on time. I'm sure we are as good as they are, amiright?5 -
@AmyRobF great loss! Yay you. 🎉
@jugar I hear you with the bad week. I am not expecting anything good with my weigh in tomorrow. Busy social week, wine multiple nights, too toooooo hot to walk. Everything dying outside and my motivation inside. It was almost a spiteful week for me, not wanting to log and eating whatever I wanted. So, we’ll see. I’ll report tomorrow.4 -
Its rainy and cold here. Lots of thunderstorms and tornado warnings.
And I have the friggin Virgin America safety song (the one Todrick Hall did) stuck in my head randomly so basically I've just been watching the video on repeat and huddling in blankets with kitty.3 -
I have given up on the phone app - it's terrible for the community pages. Here are my results for the past week

@visiri - I know what you mean about the phone app! It is better than the web app for the diary, but that is all. I hate it for the rest. Well done on your loss, though - even if it isn't huge, you're getting SO close to slipping under 200! You go!!!
@Terytha - don't you hate those ear worms? But I envy you some coolness, even if it is with thunderstorms and warnings. Keep dry, and huddling with kitty is not a bad idea...
@micki48 - thanks for the understanding - let's try to pull out of it for the next week, ok???
G'night all!1 -

Happy HOT Saturday! hope it is cooler where some of you live... I know we'll be in the roaster today. Ugh. Maybe I'll finally go shopping for a new gas stove. Mine is just about dead, and I have been putting off getting a new one. Or maybe I'll clean the laundry room, in the nice cool basement. Or just move my desk down there and forget the outside world altogether!
@micki48 - don't forget to send me last Saturday's steps (and today's when you get done with them). Thanks!
This has certainly been our slump week! So far, with still 9 weigh-ins to come, we have gained some weight this week as a team. It happens Let's hope the remaining 9 have had some good losses, but if not - we'll have to climb on out of here. We know what to do.
My lessons learned - PORTIONS are slipping towards larger and larger. EVEN HEALTHY SNACKS have calories. Yes, I mean you, watermelon, strawberries, and homemade sorbet. And that refreshing white wine with seltzer that turns into 2, or that nice cold beer - those are the biggest culprits. And needing to get back to more high intensity exercise, which I find horrible in this heat. Maybe I should move my exercise bike to the basement too!
My promise for this week is to work on the portions and the snacks for sure, and to at least pedal during whatever I'm watching during the cool evening. I have skipped that for a few days by not watching anything. Sigh.
So get those last 9 updates in, and we'll enter next week with some changes, however small, to make. What are yours?2 -
@jugar I thought I entered last Saturday but, in any case, here it is again.
Last Saturday steps 5,520
I might as well face it.
Week 3 weigh in (or is it 2? IDK)

I definitely know what happened here. I was not as careful as I usually am. It’s behind me. Now, move on. It was my husband’s birthday and our 36th anniversary, but those things will continue to happen. One more excuse...this heat🔥🔥🔥. You really can’t do anything outside. Ok. There. It’s done. I will do better with my steps, eating, logging, etc.3 -

A good week, illness aside.
It's pouring rain once again, and we're going to talk to the dealership about a new car maybe. I have no confidence I can qualify for a car loan, but hey, it's still fun to test drive cars I can't afford.4 -
YAY! @Terytha and @matthewsfive - you have put us over into the green for the week. Not sure we'll stay there, but it is encouraging. Well done, both!
Testing cars is a blast. Paying for them, not so much. Enjoy the fun part!3 -

I am so happy I didn’t gain weight during vacation with a wedding plus plenty of eating out. Yet I felt free enough to enjoy my food. My daughter really pushes the activity, which I love. We hiked in the mountains every day, we swam and we went kayaking. I needed to come home to rest! 😆 It was a great time. I have .8 more to lose to meet my July goal. I am planning to make it. 😁5 -
@jugar funny story, it turns out that I buy so many cars I get frequent buyer perks and discounts and the finance manager, who remembers me, is making sure I can get a loan.
So I guess I've bought a new car. XD
It's very funny to me. I'm not rich, not even close, I just keep trading in cars, and I come here cuz I like how chill they are.1 -

Hi gang! I've missed you all! It's been a crazy busy week for me. My summer break from work has ended, and I returned to work Wednesday and Thursday. We have Fridays off in the summer. However, my church hosted Vacation Bible School (VBS) this week, and I was in charge Friday and today.
I think I caught up on enough of the posts to realize that the struggle was real this week for many of us. My weight yo-yo'd all week. My loss this week is minimal, but I was determined to see one no matter how small. Congrats to all those who had a loss this week. Hugs and encouragement to all who need it to keep trying every day.
I'll post my steps for the week later this evening.4 -
Ugh rewarded myself with a few biscuits after my Friday weigh-in (why do I keep doing that?)
Ended up stuck in a 2 day eating junk cycle. I hope I start afresh tomorrow. The longer I stay off the wagon, the harder it gets to jump back on.
My body really cannot tolerate these binges anymore (TMI I'll spare you , never used to be a problem) but my brain still has the same cravings/habits. I hope my brain catches up eventually.4 -

It is amazing how all it takes is the feeling of "reward", and once the trigger food is chosen, it is impossible to stop. I cannot tolerate those binges any more either, but they still happen, although (thankfully!) in smaller ways than they used to. I hate that no matter how much we know how bad it will be, it is nearly impossible to stop once we eat one of the trigger foods. Well, those slips will happen, and we have to keep them short. So good job! You're done with this slip! You're brain won't ever quite get it, so you have to override, override, override.
@evangsimmons170 - SO good to see you back! I have missed you, and figured work was getting real again. You kept up a good loss, so thumbs up all the way3 -

OK, next time I have to buy a car, you're my personal shopper.1 -

YESS! Well done. Hiking and kayaking are so wonderful - and you WILL make it the final .8 lb And I am sure the wedding was wonderful - share stories if you want!2
