I also have a tendency to have a snack or something after 8 (7:30 for me). One of my goals is nothing after 7:30. I am setting this goal for at least 21 days to help create a habit.

    From
    https://init4thelongrun.com/2016/12/06/overcame-late-night-snacking-habit/

A big part of breaking a habit that you no longer want, is being able to replace it with something more positive that you enjoy more than the old habit. If your night eating is something unhealthy that you want to change, ask yourself, whatโ€™s a nightly habit that would add to my health and happiness? Not just something you think you should do, but something that would bring you joy.

Sally aka Fitness327wk - I love ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’• this! I feel itโ€™s a great way to think about what will bring joy in a positive healthy manner.

One thing that helps me is drinking hot teas at night, no calories! I buy special different caffeine free variations and I feel like I am treating myself.

From the article regarding snacking at night.

Whatโ€™s a nightly habit that would add to my health and happiness?

Personally, a lot of my nightly routine now involves spending time with other people and or truly relaxing. I love lighting candles, listening to audio books or podcasts, doodling/sketching, reading. These activities are ones that capture my full attention. I donโ€™t get distracted like I do on my phone. Being able to turn off and relax has helped so much with cravings. Iโ€™m feeding my soul in other ways. Instead of sugar, I crave these stress reducing activities.

    Team, what do you think?

Just wanted to say a prayer for my teammates: Dear God, I thank you for my teammates and especially those who take the extra time to motivate and keep the data current. Only you Lord know where each of us are on this life long journey and Im thanking you in advance for what you've done, what you are about to do, and what you're doing right now in each of our lives! Tho I have never met them, these teammates are important to me and I thank you for them coming into my life! Amen.

    @Fitness327wk AND THE WARRIOR TEAM

I UNPLUG FROM MY PHONE AT NIGHT... LOG OFF THE COMPUTER AND GO D/S TO CHILL WITH MARCIE. I ALSO HAVE A GATE THAT CLOSES OFF THE GALLEY AT BOTH ENTRANCES SO IT REMINDS ME THAT AFTER 1630 NO MORE EATING EXCEPT ELECTROLYTES.... I CARRY ENOUGH WATER DOWN TO THE FAMILY ROOM SO I DON'T HAVE TO COME BACK UPSTAIRS TO GET MORE... IT WORKS GANG THAT VISUAL REMINDS ME THAT'S OFF LIMITS UNTIL O 6OO HRS THE NEXT DAY.

    Hey Fitness327:

Sorry I have behind on weekly goals. I wrote up my progress on Tuesday (on my phone which I really prefer my computer) and then deleted the whole darn thing.

Here's the update--will try and be better about posting it daily.

    Monday:
    1. Steps: 10,500 - yes
    2. Track my food-I've been bad about this lately.- no
    3. Bring my lunch and not eat the Pop Chips in my cabinet. - um, no. Actually had TWO Pop Chips for lunch!!!

This one can just be for me since I see you rank in percentages and everyone else only has three:
    4. No random wine at home. - no (well, yes at I drank at a friend's house--that's not quite the spirit of the law I was hoping to follow)

    Tuesday:
    1. Steps: 10,500 - yes
    2. Track my food-I've been bad about this lately. - no
    3. Bring my lunch and not eat the Pop Chips in my cabinet. - no....this time it was candy....maybe I shouldn't be the one to keep the office food in their drawer :)

    4. No random wine at home. - no. wine again at a friend's house

    Wednesday:
    1. Steps: 10,500 - yes
    2. Track my food-I've been bad about this lately. - no
    3. Bring my lunch and not eat the Pop Chips in my cabinet. - no snacks, but no real lunch

4 No random wine at home. nope, had one cocktail at happy hour with a pal

    Steps:
    August 7 - 10,512
August 8 - 10,595 (**had 934 when I left the house at 12:36 p.m. so had some making it up to do!)

    Thursday week 1
    PW: 303.0
    CW: 304.2

Itโ€™s a combination of things that caused a bounce up, but all boils down to water retention. Iโ€™m not worried or even upset because I know there was nothing I could have done to prevent this.
