I am absolutely exhausted. I love my granddaughters but I am so glad they are going away for 2 days. I have walked so much the last 2 days. I need to build myself back into walking again. I am dog sitting for 2 days, so I will have to walk both dog but they can’t be walked together. Eating has been ok, just have to cut back on fruit as my blood glucose readings have been a bit high the last 2 mornings.
Yesterday’s steps: 14,764
@boehle you are going to do awesome! Can’t wait to see how you do.
@LovebyDraug69 way to go on the loss! Keep it up!
@ngk2000 congrats on your loss! Enjoy your weekend trip!
@pjshawley that is very interesting. I am not sure where I fit. There are some things I can have in moderation but I do very much control the serving size. Every Friday I have a small bag of bbq chips. If I brought in a large bag I would eat the entire thing.
Enjoy your Friday all!2 -

@Luciicul those peanut butter cups sound brilliant, I could do with those as a lower cal option for the family.

I looked for the excellent post I read recently about moderators versus abstainers, but cannot locate it. I did find this older definition:
* Moderators: find that occasional indulgence heightens their pleasure (while strengthening their resolve), and they get panicky at the thought of “never” getting or doing something.
*Abstainers: have trouble stopping something once they’ve started, but aren’t tempted by things that they’ve decided are off-limits (or are tempted less).
This is an excellent explanation I hadn’t heard before but resonates with me. I’m an abstainer too - it is easier for me to draw a hard line putting something out of bounds than for me to have it in my house as a sometimes food, as I will overindulge.
I have done well these past 7 months having put everything “bad” out of bounds for most of it. Around my daughter’s birthday there were a few exceptions for cake, and a few times I’ve make healthier versions of peanut butter cups (70% dark chocolate, coconut oil, pure peanut butter, ground flax, sunflower seeds, almond) which i was doing a pretty good of moderating on, but it reintroduced chocolate to my household and when I was too busy to make the peanut butter cups I started having one or two pieces of chocolate... at first moderation was working after such a long break, but slowly it started to increase to 4 pieces, 6 pieces, 8 pieces... so now I’ve switched to Sweet William and another brand of sugar free chocolate which has fewer carbs so it does less damage, but i am not good at stopping at one serving size (2-3pieces)... the fall back into old patterns!
be careful with too much sugar free candy items.
this should give everyone a good laugh today.

While I know even sugar-free isn’t good for us (has other junk), I hadn’t heard about this! I guess I better do some research to understand what the limit is, and be glad I havn’t had this reaction so far!0 -

AWE!!! Thanks! It is about time for us to actually TALK -- you might need a dose of a southern accent1 -

With tummy trouble last week and being out of town, I’m ok with the gain. Had a bit of a binge day yesterday. I went to a grocery I don’t normally frequent, and picked up a few special items that others don’t carry. Unfortunately I decided to sample many of them all in one day! But I owned up to it and journaled all of it. I think I didn’t have enough protein at lunch and I never felt satisfied until I had dinner. Live and learn.1 -

Too much food one day can derail a whole week. To reverse this I am going to work hard and my target is 169 lbs on 23rd August.
Though I would be rather busy but will keep logging here.
Have a fabulous week!
Good luck to all for new week! 👍😊
