Okay re-energized for October. Goals this week, no alcohol from Oct 1-31st. Wish me luck as those sugary things are the bomb.

Tracked, under, and yoga today with 5617 steps. Go me! Go us for showing up for our health!

@ForLangston Awesome start to the months challenge! I would join you in the no alcohol challenge, I only have a glass of wine every few weekends and don't drink any other time(normally), but my birthday is in a couple weeks and I definitely plan on having a drink!

I love your energy coming into the new month!

    Under: yes
    Exercise: yes
    Steps: 11,088 currently
    Water: 112.6oz

    Food Colors:
Red-Strawberries and grapes, red leaf lettuce, red onion(purple/red... I don't know)
    Yellow- banana
    Orange -carrot
    Green-lettuce

This is random, but on Friday at my work picnic I had fruit salad, and it had dragon fruit. I wasn't terribly thrilled with it because the texture was weird and it had almost no flavor... I can gladly say it is something "exotic" that I will never go out of my way for haha.

I finally got the puppy to the dog park today. The one closest to me is completely wooded, and he loved it! There was only one other dog there and Dillon loved running around with him! It was a nice short hike through the woods to get there, and some trails in the fenced in park! The woman with the other dog was telling me about some dog friendly hiking trails near me, and now I have some places to check out!

@cmhubbard92 I haven't had dragon fruit - but will definitely save that for a challenge in the future where we have to try something new!! and... editing to add - super cute pupper there! ;)

@sandkp I would choose a different fruit to try! It just has no flavor! I just wouldn't recommend it to anyone

I think I forgot to introduce myself to new members. My name is Mandy. I'm 37 from Northern Kentucky and a stay at home mom. I've been a part of this group since June and it's been beneficial and supportive thru some difficult times.
The past few months I've been concentrating more on the physical aspect rather than the food part so..this month my goal is to get refocused on the nutritional part of weight loss. This past week I've been kinda taking a step back from everything and dealing with some emotions I've pushed away recently. I think I'm in a good head space now and ready to take on October.

Ok! This is my last post for the morning(I hope!)

My weigh in is up again. I have realised that I gain a little more shortly after shark week ends, so I know with some hard work this little bump will work it's way back down! And, it's not as crazy as last month's gain!

    Previous week: 201.9
    This week: 203.8
    Gain: 2.1lb

For the first week of the October challenge, we will be aiming for 7 glasses of water or 56 ounces!

@cmhubbard92 You’re killing me with these water goals! If I eventually meet them, I won’t be getting any work done during the day unless I take my laptop to the bathroom!! :D

I had a giggle at this Pam 😂 I felt the same today, never been so glad to be able to dash out of my classroom at breaks!!

I need a bit of a kick up the bum team 🙈 Does anyone ever feel this way? I’ve lost the same 10lbs again that I’ve been working on all summer and my clothes are feeling a little looser. You’d think that would give me extra motivation (and rationally it does) but I’m perilously close to falling off the bandwagon again after a few poor choices at the weekend.
Diet was good today despite it being quite hard to stick to it and work is mental again which is impacting my activity goal but I just feel my head isn’t as in the game! Hoping this is a 48 hour thing and I’ll feel motivated tomorrow morning for some pre work gym. I have another parents evening tomorrow after school so I know I’ll not get it in afterwards.

@coral333 I can understand the feelings you’re having. When I’ve lost in the past I would get to the point where I focused more on what I’ve lost and not on what I still wanted to lose. I know it’s good to be happy about the loss, but it makes it harder to get motivated to continue to work toward your goals. Looks like your starting off doing a good job of planning your exercise time based upon your schedule. I’m sure that will help with your motivation.

@cmhubbard92 Your puppy certainly is getting your activity level up even higher than it was. I’m sure he enjoys getting out and running around. I’m looking forward to the weather being cool enough here to be able to do some outdoor activities. Just too hot for me and the dog.

I am back from my absence. My wife has been home since Friday night and all the tests came back negative. Didn’t do so great at eating during those days. Hospital food is terrible and quick options near the hospital were fast food and pizza. I am sure I will have a terrible weight this week but just know I am getting back on track.

@erikNJ So excited you are still with us and even more excited that your wife’s tests came back negative. I was concerned when I didn’t see you posting this weekend. Your weight this week will just be an indication that you had higher priorities this past weekend which is perfectly normal and part of LIFE. We know you will get back on track quickly!

@cmhubbard92 please add my steps goal 70000 for week and the food color challenge. Also how do I enter my numbers and save the link to spreadsheet or do you enter #’s. Seems like a lot of work for you.
    9/29/19 mini challenge
    Yes/yes/yes-rebounder jumping

@energyseeker I use google sheets on my phone(from the plag store). Usually I open the mobile version of MFP and can open the spreadsheet just clicking the link and it opens in my sheets app... I know that when I use the MFP app, the link will open within MFP, and my phone gives me issues trying to open with sheets from here... I would maybe ask if @pkg1998 has a suggestion on how to somehow save the link? You could also copy/paste into web browser, and it should save it in your memory on your phone.

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/16wLt6EfpKpkMVjCS1-pISRpWUfbYXdX3usRTfIN2YnI/edit?usp=drivesdk is the link.

Sorry I am rambling... I am about to go to bed and am tired!

@energyseeker I have google sheets on my iPad which is where I log into MFP too. When I open sheets is brings up a list of my recent spreadsheets which includes the challenge sheet and the official biggest loser sheet.

I've been curious about the dragon fruit. That sucks that it was a disappointment.

The puppy is super cute and I'm glad that puppy park worked out and he had fun.

    Welcome all new teammates.

@erikNJ Glad to see you back. That's great that your wife is back home too. I hope she is doing well. I know that sometimes even though that it is great for tests to come back negative it can leave you wondering what's really going on and leave things untreated. I hope that is not the case.
That is an awesome start to the week.

@pkg1998 he definitely is! The trail I want to take him to is called Airline Trail, and it stretches about 50 miles throughout the state. From what I have heard, it is a trail that is pretty much the path of old railway tracks that have been removed. And the neat thing is each town has a separate entry point to the trail, so we can pretty much start wherever! He is loving the outdoors. Eventually we may install a fence around our backyard for a couple reasons-mainly for the pup, and secondly to keep the nosy neighbor in her own yard(she came over into our backyard while I was walking him and started asking me a million questions, and I don't like people walking up to me, especially in my backyard...). We're lucky right now, the weather is starting to get cooler. I believe today will be a high of 70. I'm almost to the point where I can leave the window open at night instead of having the air going! This next week the temps are supposed to drop more!
