    Goal: Firm 30-Sat & Wed, 3-5miles other days or 85 miles for November.

    11/1-Walk Slim-Fast & Firm-4 Really Big Miles=4 miles total
    -Vivofit tracked 3.0 miles=7 miles total
    11/2-Vivofit tracked 5.0 miles=12 miles total
    11/3-WAP-4 Mile Super Challenge=4 miles=16 miles total
    -Vivofit tracked 1.5 miles=17.5 miles total

    Again today, I did not get in a Leslie workout because I was raking the :grumble: leaves and then mowing the lawn that was underneath them. However, I have discovered why my husband does not mind doing the yard work!! Have you all noticed the calorie burn on those activities?????? I was shocked!!! I burned 1, 238 calories today doing three hours of raking and mowing. :noway: I divided the jobs in half logging 1 1/2 for each one and I was stunned at what came up!! No wonder he does it without complaint!!! He gets more beer!!!! :explode:

    @Deeder522- Then you guys had the same mess we did. I was raking the leaves on Saturday and all of a sudden the sleet came pouring down! :laugh: Mulching with the mower is tricky I discovered today. I have to rake most of the leaves up and take them to the curb and then the mulching lawnmower can handle what's left, but the grass catcher gets full so darn fast!!! I had to dump it after after 5 passes of the lawn ... very frustrating and slows me down!!!! :sad:

    I have to go to work tomorrow and it is totally interfering with my leaf raking calorie burn!!!! :wink:

    My Goal for Nov. will be to continue my walking and workouts at work and make sure I am at 2 miles at least 6 days a week.

    11/1 Workout #227 Cleaning property and vacated spaces. 1 hr 2.09 miles
    11/2 Workout #228 Walking property and cleaning. 1 hr. Pulling peppers and uprooting plants. (No more garden) 1 hr. Cooking and clean up and laundry another 1.5 hrs. burned 1,728 calories doing 210 minutes of cardio exercises, including "Sports" 2.5 miles
    11/3 Workout #229 2 hrs picking up branches & throwing them over a 6' fence into the compost. 2 hrs preparing 3 lbs of peppers for the freezer. 3.09 miles today and sore back and legs.
    11/4 Workout #230 Cleaning property and checking spaces. Had to use the golf cart as my assit. was sick so I was by myself. only 1.63 miles so far for today

    OK I am going to have to revise my goal until Nov 18 when the city comes and picks up my leaves. Between teaching, grading, keeping up with my house, bills and leaves, I am getting more than enough strength training for now. I did not realize how much work it was going to be to keep all these leaves off the lawn! :noway: Until mid-November, I am going to do strength training miles that use the bands or small hand weights every other day along with walking at least 3 miles. That will be punctuated with raking leaves when the weather permits. Firm 30 is too much with all the raking and bending for the leaves. :sad: Thank heavens we are moving to the mountains soon where we do not have a lawn!!!! :laugh:

    @zichab - Good plan. There just aren't enough hours in the day to get it all done by yourself. And I bet you are going to have some awesome ab's from all that raking.

    Can I just say that I am a lover of trees? :blush: I bought a house in the woods in 1992 because I :heart: trees so very much. However, I loath, hate and despise these !@#$%^&*(@#$%^&*($%^&* leaves!!!!!! :explode: This is the fourth time I have raked and mowed this entire lawn and it will be leaf covered again tomorrow!!!! :sad: On the other hand, as you note @AnnofB, my abs are getting super tight and when I do Leslie's walks, it is hard to notice them now when she says to "tighten your abs" cause mine are already there!!! I have also noticed my thighs are much stronger from using them, instead of my back, to bend over and pick up the leaves. The calorie burn is amazing and I lost over 2 pounds last week so clearly those muscles are "working hard" as Leslie says. :laugh: I am still living for Nov 18 though!!! :+1:

    @zichab - It does seem that what we love often turns around and bites us in the... I sympathize. I really do. There seems no end to them. But just 9 more days and you will can put that rake down So impressed by the results of your raking. Aggravating but amazing too. :smile:
