There is hope this week.2

@lauriekallis & @PAV8888 He changed the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor and reset the warning lights. Then he started the car and let it run for awhile. He said the warning lights never came back on and it never got hot enough to overheat. He is taking it to work today and hoping it is fixed now.2

Fingers crossed the ride to work is good!1

I'm happy to report he made it to work without an issue. No grumble from me today.3

Today I wanna grumble about 85 mph wind gusts and sustained winds of 35 to 55 mph. It looks like we are in the Dust Bowl. It is so dark outside and there is dirt everywhere. Buildings are losing roofs, street signs are breaking off their poles, and doors keep getting pulled open by the wind. It is crazy bad. It is affecting my breathing and I haven't even been outside in it. Power at my house has been out for 2.5 hours because of the wind moving the power lines. It looks like a blizzard only its dirt instead of snow.4

I want to complain because it is 87 outside and humid…..certainly not holiday weather…..not as bad as being in the middle of the country currently with crazy winds!2

Mid 80s in Texas too. It’s just wrong! Fortunately we’re getting cold (50s) and rain over the weekend. So I’ll be baking cookies without running the air conditioning. Woohoo 🥳2

Well it is 0 right now... but it is supposed to feel like 1. Fahrenheit. That is more like -18 in the Swedish dude scale everyone else uses!1

Wow....sounds like some horrible weather you gals are experiencing.
We had some good wind here last weekend - door blown off my shed, lots of limbs and signs and a neighbours awning down. But since then it has been beautiful - unseasonably warm (kinda creepy), but perfect walking weather.

Laurie, I know 80s in December might seem pretty nice when Canadians are freezing. But speaking for Connie and me, after suffering through a blistering summer and autumn, we look forward to some cooler weather. We barely have any seasons except HOT. I couldn’t open windows between May and November! And winter is pretty much over by March here.
Don’t miss the ice and shoveling though. 🥶🥶🥶1 -
Perfect weather requires you to be comfortable walking outside. If you can't.... it's no longer perfect for me!🤷🏻♂️1

I didn't think that sounded pretty nice at all - that sounded horrible to me - I wasn't being facetious. I can handle a few weeks of that through the summer. Can't imagine all year round2 -
Yup - it’s just wrong somehow even after nearly thirty years here. Eternal summer with green lawns and leaves on the trees. When we lived in South Carolina and Virginia, winters were mild but there were four distinct seasons. You’d get a good laugh seeing Texans bundled in puffer coats, boots, gloves and ski hats on 40 degrees days. When we get a mild freeze, the grocery shelves are bare like the apocalypse is coming.1

Hot here through the weekend!2
