Ready for my second nap. Christmas has been a huge success. Poor Skylynn had 103.4 temperature this morning. Gave her meds and she’s hanging in there. Kids just left to celebrate at another family home then coming back tonight for more presents and festivities. I cooked for hours yesterday. Even made homemade cinnamon rolls per my daughters request. I let them rise overnight in fridge. We enjoyed them while opening presents. I made roasted baby potatoes with red and yellow bell peppers with onions for breakfast. We set up a vegan breakfast burrito bar. I went up and took a nap while potatoes were cooking. When I came down I was shocked that everyone had finished breakfast lol. Had no idea I was gone that long. The cinnamon rolls were made with a potato dough, apple cinnamon sugar filling and topped with streusel and glaze. Oh so tasty!
I have to admit I’m a material girl. Loved all my presents!
Taking a nap then attending a Christmas open house. I’m cruising the rest of the day.
Merry Christmas everyone! All your plans sound so lovely!4 -
Merry Christmas everyone. We had our traditional omelette breakfast. I do the shopping, my son’s girlfriend chops up all the veggies and puts them in bowls, we fill a bowl with our selections of ingredients and then my older son makes the perfect omelettes - customized to our liking! The best omelettes ever!!!3

Merry Christmas!

Wednesday 12/25 check in
Food: didn't track
Water: 32 oz
Exercise: none
I originally didn't have any plans today, then got an invitation for dinner from a family friend. I ended up spending the entire day there. I ate more food than I should have. It's a good thing I go back to work tomorrow. Getting back to my normal routine will be better for me.
I had planned on working out earlier today but was tired so I slept in this morning and then got busy and the exercise never happened.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.

@becka3695 haha you made me blush! But you know I’m feeling pretty dang sassy! I lost 60 pounds. I always say I was extremely health motivated. But comparing photos from last year to this year...well there is something to be said for being slender, toned and healthy. No matter how much self love and acceptance I had at 202 pounds it is just not the same. Being skinny is really really fun! I daily feel like a Barbie doll. My clothes are so little. Every day I am grateful! I spent all last year focused and goal oriented. I rarely strayed. It’s been so rewarding to hit goal and now to have maintained for almost 6 months.
I like to show off not so much to brag but to inspire. I promise you all if I could do it anyone can do it. Every single pound lost, and kept off is a victory getting you closer to the life you deserve to live. Wishing everyone a successful new year as your weekly check ins bring you closer to your goal!3 -
@Beka3695 above post meant for you. Misspelled your name.1

Merry Christmas everyone. We host breakfast so by the time everyone left and I cleaned up, it was time to go to dinner at my sister in laws. Just got in now and am heading to bed. I will catch up with everyone tomorrow. You ladies are the best! I am so happy I have all of you! xoxo

Sorry I didn't have to post the past two days. We host Christmas Breakfast so between being up late making sure everything was ready and getting up early to get things started. By the time I finished cleaning it was time to leave for Christmas dinner so I just had no time to get on the computer. I did have a very nice Christmas. Breakfast is a lot of work but it is so nice seeing everyone. Christmas dinner was very nice too. I felt bad because everyone kinda left abruptly to go see Shannon bartend. She did great! There was another 2 bartenders there incase she didn't know a drink. We were trying to stump her a little but she ignored us and gave us our usual drinks. Lol! My big gift was an apple watch. I have to figure out how to use it so I am sure it will be a while before I am up and running. Today will be pretty laid back, we are going to lunch at the bar and then I have PT this afternoon. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and are getting back into their usual routine today!
@nstephenson01 I am glad you had a white Christmas after all! Your house looks so beautiful. With all the steps you usually get in, I don't think it is a bad thing that your steps aren't as high on yoga days.
@kirsten11872 I hope you got everything done and were able to enjoy Christmas! I am definitely going to make those pudding shots. I would have but MK bought the wrong pudding. So do you serve them frozen?
@lennoncpa Hope you are enjoying the holidays! Do you do a celebration each night of Hanukkah? I love the idea of an omelette breakfast! I love how your family does it! What a nice tradition!
@GingerPwr Merry Christmas! Hope it was a great one!
@amytriesww Congratulations! What an amazing transformation! And to think you are doing all of this and are a busy mom, a student and all the other things going on in your life. You are an amazing woman! Thanks for sharing! xoxo
@phoebe112476 This is a tough time of year. I hope everyone is well now and you can enjoy the holidays!
@tryingagain5 Sounds like you had a nice Christmas Eve and Christmas. I don't have any doubt you will get right back into your routine. I agree, not a bad weigh in at all for this time of the year!
@pacsnc6 Hope you had a wonderful Christmas! I know you celebrated early with your family, did you do anything on Christmas day?
@Cafelelia I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
@Mrsbell8well Poor Skylynn! What a terrible day for a child to be sick. I hope that she feels better soon. Sounds like you had such a nice Christmas! You look beautiful in your white outfit! You worked very hard and look amazing! You are an inspiration!

No matter how your holiday celebration went, it is important to get back on track ASAP. Here are a few tips to get yourself back on track. This week there may still be a lot of celebrating and extra food around through to New Years. Try to stay on track at least in between the celebrations. Here are a few tips to help you.

Hi team!
I did not track yesterday, but am following Pam’s post above and getting right back on track today. Hope that everyone had a great day yesterday and I know that a lot of people are back to work today. I am travelling back to Toronto tomorrow morning, and will be so happy to be back into a routine. My leg acted up a bit here, so I have been resting it.
Some things to think about for everyone. New Year’s Eve and Day! If you have parties, big meals or travelling, it is time to start thinking about a plan!
Also 2020 is almost here. Do you have goals and if so, what are they? Becky will post the January thread soon, so get ready to post a bit about what you want to do in 2020!
We will have several new members joining already! It will be a new year and fresh start!!
Will resume my regular posting tomorrow night. Take care everyone!1 -

Yahoo... no gain over the holidays, I'll take it. Back to my normal routine as of today just like @sleepymom5's post above.
@cafelelia I have been thinking a lot about 2020 and my goals. Looking forward to the New Year
@mrsbell8well Looking spectacular in your winter white. Your journey has been an inspiration and I'm thankful to have been along for the ride.4 -
@nstephenson01 I loved the photo of your snowy white home. So beautiful and serene. Thanks for the kind words.
@sleepymom5 I know you are always a whirlwind. Glad you made it through Christmas day. Sounds like you all had a really good time. I just love all your pretty pictures Pam. You do a great day putting up funny or festive weight reminders.
@Cafelelia safe travels. I printed out the goal sheet. We are getting together Sunday to work on our 2020 planners.
Isn't it amazing how easy it is to overeat during the holidays? I made a Christmas bakewell tart and an extra one for a teammates birthday today. I usually get burned out with too many sweets but remarkably I was able to eat 4 pieces of cake over the last 3 days and 2 cinnamon rolls. I am still dragging a bit but looking forward to getting back to my exercise routine. I still have a raw chocolate truffle cake to make tonight for another co-workers birthday tomorrow, a pineapple upside down cake for Saturday at the country house and Skylynn's chocolate mint cake on New Years day since I missed making it for her birthday. Then another cake January 4th and a cannoli cheesecake for the lasagna dinner that Josh (age 11) and I are making January 12th. Then I am doing a 3 week cleanse with no sugar and no alcohol.
The amazing thing is that my size 6 pants are actually baggie on me. I forgot who told me to do squats...but I keep meaning to say "thanks for the suggestion!" maybe 2020 LOL. I am still not feeling the best and it has affected my appetite. I am just not very hungry. It has been a pseudo blessing this holiday season.
Something I have been dwelling on these last few weeks are how many things I do daily that I really would rather not do. Workouts, flossing, washing my hair, showing up for work, doing the dishes, cleaning the bathroom...my days are strung together with mindless things that I just go into robot mode. I try not to think about any of these things I just do them. My weight loss journey was a lot like that. I didn't give myself too many options. I just set the course and did what needed doing. It was so draining always worrying about the number on the scale and monitoring what I ate and how much. But what is the alternative? Now that I am on the other side I don't know how else others achieve their goal? It is not easy but it is doable. and it IS worth it. completely. I know we talk a lot about life style changes we make so that when we hit our goal we are still living the same life. That has not been true for me at all. I do still keep up the exercise that is true and my portions are way different than they used to be. But there is also a freedom that I didn't feel when I was "dieting" for a year. I think I was afraid to give myself too much leeway since it is so easy to go backward and really hard to get back on track. I was always more concerned with the mental aspect of going off course than I was with the physical calories etc. I still am. If I get too comfy cozy with old ways I clean up my act and get back on course. I can tell you those last 10, 5, 2 pounds were mentally tortuous. It felt like it was never going to end. That is also one of the perks of just pushing through to goal was to stop thinking about it so much. Maintenance has been a completely different energy. A much much better energy. People say it is hard but it is so much more fun than "dieting".
Come on over...I am waiting to compare notes with all of you!3 -

Thursday 12/26 check in
Food: logged and on track
Water: 40 oz
Exercise: 30 minutes low intensity at home
It was a pretty lazy day for me. The most I accomplished today was a load of laundry while I exercised. I have to go back to work tonight so I slept this afternoon so I can stay awake all night. I'm surprised I slept as long as I did. I guess my body still needed more sleep.
I had planned on doing a lot while I was off this week. I had even made a to do list. The only thing I crossed off my list was laundry. Instead of working on my list I slept a lot this week.🙄 I'm guessing that if my body didn't need the extra sleep that I wouldn't have been able to.
I'm thinking about seriously starting to look for a day time job so I can sleep at night and have a more normal schedule. It's not looking likely to happen at my current job. I do sometimes casually look but haven't really found anything to apply for. It would have to be comparable to what I have now, pay, benefits, etc., also good hours for me, in order for me to consider applying. It wouldn't make much sense to take a job that pays a lot less or doesn't have good benefits. What I have now is decent but also not something I want to do until retirement. I should probably make a pro/con sheet of what I have now and any potential job to apply for. Lots for me to think about.

I am totally back on it now, and will get this off asap.
Will also spend some time catching up on here, and will be a better team mate going forward!
Hope you gave all had a great Christmas xx7 -

I had a quiet day on Christmas. We stayed home and just snacked or ate small quick meals. Yes, we got chocolate as gifts and I indulged but only two or three pieces. We watched a Netflix movie in the afternoon, it was about Jimmy Hoffa, FULL of curse words which I didn't like but was otherwise a good story. I ate a few large shrimp after the movie but wasn't really hungry so was OK with that.
Yesterday was another quiet day. I did my work at the church office than worked on a new puzzle off and on the rest of the day.
This morning I have water aerobics and am looking forward to that. It will feel so good afterwards.
I am happy with the scale today though it was a little nicer to me yesterday at 162.9 Oh well!3 -

Had a huge Christmas eve meal. Lots of sodium. I'm hoping this will even out by next week. Drinking lots of water!3 -
Class was cancelled at the last minute. Went grocery shopping instead. Working on my puzzle today. I walk around the table finding pieces, don't sit much so get in lots of steps.1

Thursday 12/26 check in
Food: not logged but not bad . I am eating too many sweets though
Water: Not enough
Exercise: Pt, Stretching and Strength
Ugh! I am in such a rush so I can't really check in. I had a lot of people stopping in today for some reason. My son's girlfriend stayed and chatted for two hours. It was nice but I have to be ready to go out by 4. We have a Christmas light show we are going to see in Philly. Not really sure what to expect. I was hoping to exercise but I am out of time. I am going to do PT and stretching at least.
@Cafelelia I love those posts above. I really like how the theme is to keep it simple. I get so stressed about goals and stuff but it really doesn't need to be like that. I love the little sheet to plan goals. I am going to print that out!
@nstephenson01 Not gaining over the holidays is a win in my book. Great job!
@mrsbell8well Everyone must love having you as a personal baker! So many fun occasions still to come! Yes, it is sounds like you are enjoying maintenance and continuing on your journey of a healthy lifestyle. You seem to be learning even more as you go. Thanks for always sharing your success with us!
@ljdanny Maintaining during the holidays is a success to me! Sounds like you had a nice Christmas. I hope you do start feeling better soon. I have been fighting a cold too. I just keep taking mucinex dm and sudafed 12 hour and it has helped a bit. I can feel it when I don't take the medicine though. I need to make some changes in 2020 too! This will be our best year yet!
@tryingagain5 I had to leave a job because I just couldn't do night shift anymore. It is too bad you can't make a move within the company you are at. It may do you good to look into another job.
@Freeglerock Phew! I was afraid we lost you! It sounds like you had a nice Christmas! Time to get back on track now! I am sure a lot is sodium so make sure you get that water in! I am happy you are back!
@pacsnc6 I heard that was a good movie. Wasn't it the Irish men or something like that? What a good idea to get steps in while doing a puzzle! I love that! Sounds like you are having a nice relaxing week!
@lennoncpa . Not bad at all for the holidays! I am sure a lot is sodium so be sure to get your water in!
@GingerPwr I agree, probably sodium. Good idea to get extra water in!2 -

Hi everyone!
I just finished our long drive back home. Holiday driving is the worst! We made it through this difficult Christmas, and we were able to have some fun. My older boy is already off to a 3 day hockey tournament with my husband, so my younger boy and I will have some one on one time this weekend. My MIL will join us on Monday so that she is with us for the New Year. I did not have a scale this morning, so will post my weight tomorrow morning now that I am home. I unpacked everything except for a couple of suitcases & I am worn out! Even with being mindful of my eating and a daily plan, it amazed me how easy it was go over my calorie budget. I also feel bloated as I have been having more alcohol and salty food than normal. So I started a 24 hour fast this morning, and am already starting to feel better from it.
It looks like many of you have done great over this holiday week! Whether you have lost, maintained or gained, January is just around the corner and we have a New Year to start fresh!! I am going to take a nap and will post more later or in the morning!
