My favorite meme of the season.

Oh, I knew that this was happening. More Alcohol, treats, meals out, sodium. Well I am back in my routine and will keep going! It is a great time for refocusing and renewing. I keep forgetting that it is not only a new year, but a new decade!!
@kirsten11872 - I am with you on the gain. Doesn’t matter because you look absolutely beautiful!!! That is an NSV look & dress!! Your dog is adorable!
@Zumba_Luvah - Also with you on the gain. But we have one more week in the challenge and the new year to look forward to!
@hope002 - Congratulations for maintaining! Did you do IF through the week?
@mrsbell8well - My kids still play with the empty boxes more than whatever is in them! That cake looks so yummy. I made the mistake of looking at it when I was fasting last night!
@sleepymom5 - Thanks for carrying all of the posting reminders this week! Way to go maintaining through this week!2 -
Daily Check In: Thursday
Food: Didn't log
Water: Not enough
Exercise: Nada
Thursday was all about the barn project. We left first thing in the morning to drive to a salvage yard in Missoula to get a used Pella french door style sliding glass door for the barn. Then I spent the day helping my husband stand a wall up. We are on phase two of the monstrosity of a barn that my husband is building and its more fun (for me anyway). Stairs (done) going up to a loft over the RV bay. Floor is done so now walls, windows, deck and eventually roof. I'm afraid of heights but it doesn't scare me to be up there. But I get really tired, I'm not a construction kinds girl so by dinner I was hungry and wanted something quick so made fish sticks and tator tots. This is one of my biggest battles I need to work on for 2020. I need to come up with a plan for those days I am busy helping hubby so dinner doesn't end up being a deep dive into the freezer for something effortless and quick.

Friday 12/27 check in
Food: not logged but not bad I am still eating too many sweets
Water: Not enough
Exercise: None
I am not doing bad but I am so off my routine, I feel like I am flying by the seat of my pants. I really do so much better when I plan everything out. Having said that, I have been having a really fun week. Today I really need to get some exercise in. My body can really feel it when I don't exercise. Especially if I miss my PT and my stretching. I feel good otherwise. I don't have the usual stuffed and bloated feeling I usually have after the holidays even though I have been indulging in some cookies and chocolate. I feel like I have been sticking to eating 2-2 even though it is not food I would normally eat. I also have been trying to eat as normal as I can when I don't have an event. Today I do have a Christmas open house, I want to go not hungry so I don't over eat. I may have a greek yogurt before I leave. Tomorrow Jim and I are leaving for the shore. We are staying over in Atlantic City one night and then going to our shore house. We will go out with our neighbors on New Years Eve. I am very excited to go down now that my hip is feeling better. I want to see how I do walking down there. I am excited to walk on the beach. I really didn't get to do that last summer with my hip. My plan for eating down there is picking the healthiest option and eating 2-2. I am also going to do my 3 drink plan-before, during and after dinner. Maybe one more New Years eve depending what is going on. I am at a loss for December already but I think I can have even a bigger loss. Hope everyone has a good last weekend of 2019!
@Cafelelia I am glad you are home safely and had a nice Christmas. I can see why you would be exhausted. It is nice that your Mother in law will join you for New Years. Good luck to your son in his hockey tournament. I am glad that you all had a little break from the busy hockey schedule.
@pacsnc6 I heard that is a good movie. I will watch it. This is a great movie watching time of year.
@Mrsbell8well Lol! I love that meme! You could substitute a toddler with an empty box too Lol! Oh my-that chocolate truffle cake looks amazing! If you didn't say it was 6 inches I would have thought it was a big cake! Yum!
@kirsten11872 I love your pictures! You look beautiful! That dress is so pretty and festive! And that puppy!! So cute!! And honestly, not a bad weigh in considering the holidays.
@hope002 You must be doing well. Maintaining during this time of year is awesome!
@Zumba_Luvah Not a bad holiday weigh in at all. Hope all is going well.3 -
Daily Check In: Friday
Food: Mostly on plan except for a snack of 2 egg rolls
Water: Lots
Exercise: Yoga class & dog walk
Better day yesterday except for the egg rolls I bought "for my husband". Ha.... yeah well new day. Today is another barn day but I have my 24 hour plan made and I will focus on drinking my water. Gotta get the dogs out for a quick walk.
Have a great weekend everyone!1 -
@Cafelelia That's really not a bad weigh in at all. I bet once you are in your normal routine, that will come right off! I also forgot it is a new decade!
@nstephenson01 Wow! Your husband is talented! I can't get my husband to hang the plastic bag holder on the wall in the laundry room! You are right, you need something easy and appealing for those days that you are working on the project with him. I would feel the same way you do. Being tired and hungry makes it hard to make a good decisions. Maybe you can find a good crock pot recipe that you can do before you start and then it will be hot and ready to eat when you get in.3 -

We have been talking about setting goals for 2020, how is everyone doing with that? I have a loose plan but really need to focus and write them down. If anyone is having trouble, don't forget we had an awesome week 3 challenge that @Cafelelia posted that really helps break things down. I am planning to revisit it while I am making mine. We hear a lot how resolutions don't work. Usually because there is no plan.
Let's set some goals and skip the resolutions this year!

Also...did I mention that I got an Apple watch? Is there a way to have "friends" on there like fitbit? The poor little guy is sitting on the charger..that is as far as I got. I am a little intimidated to use it3

@sleepymom5 .
Yes you can link with friends on Apple watch and link it to mfp. I have one and I like it a lot. The only thing I don't like is you can't add exercise done without the watch on. My Garmin watch connected to a website where I added water exercise. You can set up the Apple watch to track heart rate among other things and it will give you re.indeed during the day to move and stand up etc. Have fun with it.0 -
So I'm at my Mom's and she cooks huge dinners and pushes food on you 24/7. Seriously gained 6 lbs when I was here in the summer, because after a few days, you just give up and eat.
Today, I made a turkey sandwich for lunch and 1) DIDN'T put cheese on it and 2) DIDN'T have chips - instead, I had a tangerine. Felt like a small win and I just wanted to share that.

Hi all,
Hope everyone had a great Christmas! Mine was alright, nothing great, but not terrible.
Thought I'd give y'all an update on how I am doing without too many details since I know I have a problem with sharing too much sometimes or making people uncomfortable with what I go through.
Anyway, I was FINALLY able to get back on my meds today, I went a week or more without them and I'm SURE they have a big impact on how things end up going for me when I'm not on them! So I'm glad I have them back.
I talked to a Crisis Hotline today and she was helpful and was able to calm me down a bit and she even gave me some helpful sites and a really cute app, called, Calm Harm. It has A LOT of things on there to help you through most situations, so I will definitely try and use that app more and see if it helps.
Even after talking with Crisis, my Clinician still wanted to come out today to chat with me and check on me. She said I seemed a bit better, mood wise now than compared to earlier today. So I think seeking help through her and Crisis did help me out some. REALLY trying hard to stay out of Rehab for now and don't want to go in any time soon...
I'm still going through rough mental and physical problems at the moment, but feeling a little relief from some of it for now. On Christmas I got sick again, dizzy, nauseous and threw up 4 times, so my Clinician is gonna call my Dr. On Monday and schedule an appointment for me.
Think that's all for now, and oh yeah, HOPING for a good or okay weigh in tomorrow! Love you guys.

Friday 12/27 check in
Food: logged and on track
Water: 40 oz
Exercise: none
I slept all day since I had to work. Friday is usually overtime for 3rd shift but this week it was making up the extra time off earlier in the week. I ran a couple of errands after I got up, one of them making the last payment on my car repair. I took a nap before going to work. I must have slept really hard since I didn't know where I was or what day or time it was when my alarm went off.3 -
Week 4 goal update
Goals: 4 fruits, 4 veggies, 64 oz water 4 days per week
Fruit:
6 days: 0
1 day: 1
Veggies:
4 days: 0
1 day: 2
1 day: 3
1 day: 1
Water:
1 day: 80 oz
2 days: 56 oz
1 day: 64 oz
2 days: 40 oz
1 day: 32 oz
Not so good on my goals this week. I'm pretty sure that all the Christmas gatherings didn't help. Time to get back on this.2 -
Saturday 12/28
Food: logged but over
Water: 80 oz
Exercise: 15 minute walk
We got out of work early today: 4AM instead of 6:30 so that was nice. My day went by pretty fast. I slept until 9, then went out and ran errands. I stopped by a neighbor's house to return a book she let me borrow. Another neighbor was already there so I ended up visiting with both of them for a while. We took her dog and granddog for a walk around our condo complex. Now I'm watching another Hallmark movie and plan on going to bed when it's over.3 -
@sleepymom5
It would be nice to be able to go to days at my current job. I haven't talked with my boss to see if she can take anybody with her to 1st shift. She's out on medical leave for a couple of weeks so I"ll have to wait to ask her.
I do plan on looking to see what's out there, although the times I've casually looked only found jobs that were pretty low pay and I can't do that. Hopefully, my boss can take me with her or I find something that pays the same or more than I make now.1 -
