    Saturday 12/28 check in
Food: not logged but on target
    Water: 80 oz
Exercise: 30 min stationary bike, PT, Stretching and strength

I am trying to get back into a routine of posting at night. Unfortunately tonight, I fell asleep while my husband was watching football. I should have went to bed when I felt tired. Now I am wide awake and it is almost 2am. Ugh!

Finally a good day! I did have a few treats at the party but didn't overeat so I am ok with that. I also made a point of drinking a lot of water and getting a good workout in. I am leaving tomorrow for the shore. I plan to workout before we leave. I still have to pack, I am not even sure what I am bringing yet. I also have been battling a cold. I have been using mucinex and sudafed for the past week and have been doing ok. Tonight the sudafed doesn't seem to be helping anymore. Hopefully I start feeling better soon. I would rather be sick at home than at the shore. Shannon has been in bed all day with strept throat and cold symptoms. I got some exercise bringing her soup up to the 3rd floor, we have a lot of stairs in our house. She has a full day of antibiotics in her so hopefully she feels better soon too. There is so much going around this time of year. I will check in again in the morning. Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

@timibotkin This is a tough time of year. You can still turn it around. Hope all is well.
@pacsnc6 Thanks for the information! I can't wait to start using it!
@GingerPwr That is a win in my book too! Awesome choices!
@CassieGetsFit2013 I am glad to hear that you are back on your medications. I hope they make things a little better for you. I am also happy to see that you are reaching out to the resources you have available to you. It sounds like the crisis hot line was helpful. That app sounds like it could be a great tool for you to use. I am glad that you will be seeing the doctor, I hope you start feeling better soon. You have been doing well with your weight lately, if you got off track during the holidays, just try to get right back on. This is a hard time of year so don't be too tough on yourself if there is a gain.
@tryingagain5 I am sure the first night or two back on are the hardest. Sounds like you were really in a sound sleep! I hope you are able to find something with better hours eventually. I know in nursing we would get paid a lot more for 3rd shift so that is why so many nurses do stay on nights. You did better than me with the veggies this week. I did awful. I also didn't do as well as I usually do with water. I think part of it is being in a different routine. You are right, time to get back at it!
@hope002 You just amaze me with that fasting! Awesome job! Glad you were able to enjoy the holiday goodies as well. You look beautiful! I love seeing your skiing pics-Are those the trails you skied on? I have never skied to the whole thing amazes me! I can't imagine skiing down one of those trails Lol! Hope you had an awesome time!

    Weigh In Sundays
    Week 5
    Previous weight: 194.1
    Current weight: 190.6

I've been so busy, it seems like the 190s flew by. Not sure how much I'll be on this week since my surgery is Tuesday. Also hating that I won't be able to work out this week depending on recovery. I'll try to get some walking in, but I prefer my stairs. Really wanted to start the New Year strong, but it is what it is.

I have loved seeing all the photos of you guys throughout the holidays! I'm glad everyone had a wonderful holiday! Here's to making 2020 our best year yet!

Last night I had a headache. I have had a bit of a relapse that has turned into sinus issues. Going to bed I smeared peppermint oil. I finally broke down and took 2 ibuprofens. What relief! I took 2 more lovely pills in the middle of the night.
We had fun at the country house yesterday with Mollys siblings. I woke up early and made French lentil soup with smoked paprika, salad with balsamic vinaigrette and the fixings for pineapple upside down cake with blackberries. I baked it there so it would be served warm. Molly made mulled wine. We talked a lot about our goals for 2020. I came home inspired and pulled out my old bujo from 2018. I’m planning to do a mix of bujo happy planner combined. As I was reading through my bujo it was sobering to see how very sick I was. I recorded my daily physical status. When I say I did this for health I meant it. Daily I was throwing up from digestive issues. All those pills in the picture were taken daily. I recorded day after day of tortuous headaches and back aches. I was a mess. I felt so sorry for myself. I weighed 192 2 years ago. By that summer I was 202 and started MFP.
I realize now the reason I quit taking medications was to help me get in tuned with my body and what was causing my discomfort. By that fall I stopped all meds, caffeine and went vegan. My health completely turned around. This last few weeks is the first time I have been sick in over a year. I decided to use this to once again reassess my diet and nutrition. I’m doing a cleanse today. My digestive system is still not running as well as I would like. I’m planning to do an elimination diet within the next 30 days.
Our health really is the most important thing we have. And it is empowering to think that I can do something about it through diet and exercise. I’m excited to journey forward. Without weight loss as a focus I can ramp up my efforts more than ever. I suspect gluten could be an issue. Maybe legumes? Also had relief following Ayurvedic. It’s so confusing. Everything beneficial also has a source saying how harmful it is. I’m determined to find what’s right for me.
    Relaxing today and goal planning.

Congratulations to @amytriesww, @jedaschultz & @sleepymom5 for placing 1st, 2nd & 3rd on the team this week! More Congratulations to @amytriesww & @jedaschultz for making the group honourable mentions!

As you all can see, most teams did not lose weight this week and that is no surprise. So if you gained (like me) or maintained, you are not alone! With the new year coming, it is time to renew and get right back on track everyone!

    Saturday check in

food - logged and on track
    Exercise - 6200 steps
    Water - 1.5 l

I had a quiet day for a change yesterday. I am back to my routine and doing IF. I did lots of laundry and spent time with you younger son. He asked for homemade pizza for supper, so we had fun making that. My brother and brother-in-law visited in the morning and brought a tray of homemade Italian Christmas treats from my mom. She made my favorite cookie (which is really a sweet, fried dough), but she made super mini versions. So I was able to enjoy a few and keep the calories down.

@Mrsbell8well - I am so sorry that you are not feeling well. It is motivating to look back to see how far you have come. We are always changing and life is always moving. I have no doubt that you will figure out your new path in 2020.

@amytriesww - Another amazing loss, congratulations! I hope that your surgery goes well and will be praying for you!

@sleepymom5 - Great job yesterday! So sorry that you and Shannon are sick and hope that you both feel better soon. Enjoy the shore! I have an AppleWatch too, but have not used the social. If you don’t track a workout via your watch, you can log it via the Apple Health app (I use MFP to help me estimate calories burned). I love my watch, but don’t use the social part. I will try to look you up when you are set up!

@hope002 - You look amazing! I love your dedication to IF! Those skiing photos are beautiful!

@tryingagain5 - Your fruit/veggie/water tracking was not bad at all, considering it was the holiday week. Good luck with the job change! I hope that you get to switch shifts where you are.

@CassieGetsFit2013 - I am glad that you are back on your meds and getting some extra support. That app sounds good and it always amazes me how many types of great apps are out there now. Please keep getting that support and don’t give up because as Liselyn said earlier this month, you are so worth it! Good luck with the weigh in!

@GingerPwr - My MIL is a huge food pusher so I totally get it. That lunch you made was a total NSV!!

@timibotkin - Oh, most of us went in the wrong direction this past week! It is a new week and new start!

@nstephenson01 - That barn project sounds major! I bet it will be beautiful when it is done! Was that your house in the photo you posted for Christmas?

Does anyone else struggle IBS. My weight fluctuates so much and half the time I'm so bloated or constipated that it's hard to actually say if I lost weight (two days ago I was 186 and was in a lot of pain). Anyone have any tips other than the FODMAP?

Just dropping in quick...I did get a good 6 hours in of sleep so I don't feel too bad. My cold on the other hand is not good at all. I am going to have another mug of peppermint tea and then I am going down to exercise. My husband wants to be settled in at a bar by the Eagles game at 4. I am not a foot ball girl so I may take that time to walk around the Casino and get some extra steps in. Are you going to be watching @kirsten11872 We are playing your team!
I hope to be able to check in again tonight but not sure how that will go. I am looking forward to getting to the shore and relaxing. All I want to do is walk on the beach and read by the fireplace Lol! It is nice to go somewhere where you don't have to worry about things you should be doing. Have a great day everyone!

    Congratulations @amytriesww and @jedaschultz ! Awesome losses ladies! I had to do a double take-I couldn't believe I was in 3rd! Lol!

@amytriesww You just slid through the 190s! And during the holidays! You must be so proud of your progress! You have been working so hard and you are getting the results. I know you have your surgery coming up and you are concerned with at least the exercise. Try to just concentrate on healing and don't worry about anything else. You are going to go up in weight from fluid most likely which is a totally normal reaction for your body to have. It will all come off. It isn't fat. You also aren't going to lose the progress you have made with your workouts. It may day a day or two to get back where you were before but you will get there quickly. Just be sure to get in as much water as you can and eat as healthy as you can to help your body heal. You will be back and better than ever. I will be thinking of you, I know having a surgery coming up is unsettling but soon it will be behind you and you can focus on recovery. Hugs!
@Mrsbell8well It amazes me that you ever weren't in great shape. I know you have said that you had some health issues, especially digestive, but you just seemed to take off with your health so quickly. I know you did have some troubles with headaches but you seemed to be done with them pretty quickly too. I am glad you broke down and took some advil. Sometimes you need it. You are sick and I know once you are better you won't be using them anymore. Sounds like a lovely day with Mollys family. I guess it was a bitter sweet Christmas for them. I hope they found some happiness in sharing memories of their Mom. Sounds like you have a perfect last Sunday of the year planned out. Enjoy! xoxo!
@Cafelelia I actually looked at the chart and at Beka's post and didn't notice my name until your post lol! I rarely am in the top three! Lol! I am glad that you are settled back at home now. It is always a ton of work to get ready to leave and then a ton when you get back home. I love your new profile pic! Your oldest is as tall or taller than you! We had the same weather as you when we were there Lol! We didn't hike though. We took a bus trip. It must have been beautiful to hike. I love the idea of changing your profile pic and the bio for the new decade. I have been meaning to do that for a while, it is kinda rambling as I have been on here for so long. This would be the perfect time to do it.
@DanielleInProgresss A lot of us are in the same boat. Don't beat yourself up. You enjoyed the holidays. Just get back on track. I am lucky, I don't have IBS but I know how bad that can be. I really don't have answers for you but hopefully someone in our group will. I know there is an app called Happy Scale (it is free) and it tracks your trends somehow. I think you may like it to keep track of your progress. Especially since your weight fluctuates with the IBS.

    Daily check in: Saturday
Food: made a plan in the am and stuck to it for the most part
Water: 80 oz which is great when working on the barn
Exercise: 30 minute dog walk: 10,004 steps

Very happy to have created a reasonable 24 hour plan and stuck to it despite spending part of the day helping hubby with the barn. Made a point of drinking my water. Snowing today so not sure I’ll get the dogs out for a walk. Kind of a lazy day. My Niners have a big game tonight against the Seahawks so looking forward to watching it. Off to do some laundry. Sorry to those of you who are sick... not fun especially during the holdiay season.

@DanielleInProgresss I suffer from ibs. It's awful. They tell me to eliminate foods. I don't do so well with it. I am going to try to get better about this year though. I bought all the books they have out but they are a boring read. I do take cultural, tumaric and peppermint pills to try and help.

For Christmas I got another crock pot in a grab but this one has a timer on it so I am going to look for some healthy meals to make in it. I also got a panini maker that I can't wait to use. I have been working out on my vacation, my envelope is getting filled with money. I will have to decide what my goals will be. I also got a new phone that I'm having a hard time typing on. Takes some getting use to. Today I took down the Christmas decorations now I'm relaxing and I'm going to get thinking about all my goals and exercise plan for 2020. Maybe at least start with January.

I was able to lose about 75 pounds about 7-8 years ago...but since my tummy trouble have started I have only yoyoed the same 15 pounds. The only thing that has helped the pain is removing wheat, limiting apples, avacado, and soda. But it hasn't helped with the 💩 or the bloating

Hi everyone! Just checking in quick to catch up on everyone’s posts and to say I’ll have my weigh in tomorrow - I’m dog/house sitting this weekend and there’s no scale here (or maybe there is, but I seriously hate opening cupboard doors at other peoples houses! Stresses me out lol! I’m heading home in the morning though and will post then!

    Check in: Sunday
Food: logged and within allowance (used a little of my exercise cals)
    Water: pitiful
Exercise: 1.5hr cycle ride with family, 3600 steps

So, today was the first day of being properly back on track with measuring and logging.  Last couple of days I was eating better, just not being accurate with tracking (though have lost a couple of the lbs I managed to add on over Xmas!).  Feelings good being back in control, though will be a lot easier once all the Xmas treats are gone (I did spend nearly 500 calories in my allowance on trifle today 🙈, but it was weighed and tracked - and I do love trifle!)

My partner bought me a new mountain bike for Christmas, so we all went out on a cycle ride today - the tracks were wet and muddy, it was great fun.  Looking forward to getting more cycling in, and hoping to be able to make it a fairly regular thing.

Have been thinking a lot about goals for 2020, and how to make myself accountable and progress.  Today I got myself a 6 month goal planner/diary, which I am starting to fill out.  It starts with affirmations, and stating what you are grateful for - I really struggle with this kind of things (is it bad that I am resorting to Google to give me ideas?).  I am grateful for many things (family, friends, house, having the money to feed family with no concerns etc), but actually writing them in the planner seems so hard!  Anyway, by the end of the year I should have my goals defined and mind mapping done on what is needed to get there.  The planner is then split into monthly, weekly and daily pages, with areas to reflect on progress and lessons learnt.  There are many areas that I know I need to work on, not just health and fitness, so I am hoping this will help focus my mind and aid motivation to achieve more than I am at the moment.

@nstephenson01 Wow!  The barn is very impressive and what a wonderful view!

@Cafelelia Love your photo.  Ireland is such a beautiful place - my brother and his family live in Ireland and despite a number of trips over there we have yet to visit the West coast.  Though planning on making that trip this year!

@Mrsbell8well and @sleepmom5 sorry you are not feeling well, and hope you are both better soon.

@amytriesWW wishing you all the best with the surgery, and speedy healing. x

Well, I only lost 0.2lbs this week, but I lost it through a Holiday FILLED with a big feast and lots of goodies! I think I did pretty good. Started out great at the beginning of the week, then Christmas day I didn't count my calories or my points with WW...And haven't done either since Christmas, but I got back on track today and have tracked everything. 😁 Since I had a loss for this week, I've lost 7.2lbs for the month and I had a loss 4 weeks in a row, so this is good progress! I'm still dealing with and struggling with a lot of mental issues and some physical distraught, but I am pushing through and you guys help a lot, so thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Hope you all had a great Christmas and I look forward to coming off the cheer squad and joining you guys back on the team for January! I am SO glad I didn't leave you guys when I was having a break down/tantrum and I too am glad that I seeked out help with the resources that I have and the day that I talked to Crisis, I was close to self harming, but that lady was very sweet and calmed me down. 🥰

    Love you all!

I really was in a sound sleep the other night. It was harder going back to work after having that much time off and sleeping at night that whole time. Yes, the shift premium is nice, right now it's 50 cents per hour more and starting January 5 it will be $1.00 per hour more. The jobs I've seen while casually looking pay minimum wage, $10 per hour or not much more than that.

    @Cafelelia
I knew it would be harder to stay within my goals during Christmas because I was completely out of my normal routine, as we all were. Thanks, I hope I can switch shifts at my current job but since I've been on a list for 18 months it's not looking likely. Going to start looking a little more seriously and see what I can find.

@DanielleInProgresss I was able to lose a lot of weight years ago but gained some back. Over the last few years I gain and lose the same 5 pounds. Its very frustrating. I find eating onions, garlic, wheat and drinking beer make my stomach worse, but I do like onion rings sometimes and I will have some beer, so I pay for it. Otherwise I have a very hard time going to the bathroom and I think that's some of the problem on the scale. My cousin showed me an ibs cheat sheet on pinterest I'm going to take a look at. Hopefully that can help a little.
