@Dean: Do you use Musher’s Wax on your dog’s paws for those snowy rides? I definitely needed to use it here, especially with them being in contact with road salt.
@vhuber: I am not a cat person either, but bless you for taking your reg along in out of the cold.Sadly, someone lost her. Did you look online for posts? We have pet lost and found sites and a Nextdoor page where people post. I have reunited several lost pets via these avenues.

My gym has a little holiday challenge going on, do tasks on a card, get stamps, win prizes. On Monday I took myself a few feet up the rock climbing wall, first time. Was able to do it in the afternoon just as it opened, finished just as a dad brought in two boys. Perfect timing. The kids do it all the time and are really good. It's in the lobby so it's hard not to have an audience. Just could not land on the floor on my feet, butt landing x 2. Then yesterday I took myself in the pool, also the first time there. In the morning it's all the regulars who do laps with their goggles and swim caps, so it was really intimidating. It took the focus off my cringing at wearing my bathing suit. I dog paddled a lot, didn't drown and spent the last ten minutes in the sauna doing the meditation task.
Between those mini distances and some laps this morning, I'm adding 1 mile

I hit and then passed me YTD milage goal for 2019. I am currently at 7,578 miles so far this year. Not quite done yet though. This is a steady 25 mles per day 6 days per week. Haven't decided what type of goal for 2020 yet.

Just ran 10 miles which puts me at 78/50. I'm pretty disappointed in myself. I had meant this to be my last long run before Disney but I just gave up at 10 miles for no good reason. I wasn't injured. I wasn't overheated. I just couldn't find the motivation to keep going. Oh well. I guess there will be a lot of walking involved if I'm going to finish a marathon in a few weeks.
@dave - yes it seems I seriously underestimated my miles this month. Go figure. Last month I barely made my goal.
@k80flec - Agree about just_ceci's amazing photo. Unlikely you will see a photo of me on a ledge like that. When I was in Switzerland I was extremely proud of myself that I rode the cable car up Mt. Pilatus! I can't say I enjoy heights. I didn't notice one row of clepant's deer were on their heads until you mentioned it! @clepant - It is a fun sweater.1 -
