@guitargirl55 I like the spending money approach! I'm also in a fortunate financial situation, but we are moving to a new apartment at the end of the year and I'm trying to declutter and get rid of things instead of getting more stuff. Of course the move and related purchases will be expensive too so it's good to have money saved up. Still, the decluttering is one reason I'd like to use my spending money on services and experiences instead of physical items, except for a much-needed new wardrobe once I shrink out of my current clothes. Services and experiences are kinda no-go at the moment, so I'm running out of ideas. I don't have a car and public transit should be avoided, so I can't take @biketheworld state park idea either.

Thinking about this, it would make more sense to save up all reward money for the new wardrobe and new apartment. I really need some mini rewards to keep motivated though, so maybe I'll just buy myself flowers or something. A few years ago when I was successfully losing weight, I bought myself flowers every 0.6kg (approx 1.3lbs) lost, and the flower-buying trip always included a trip to the butter aisle at the grocery store to visualize my weight loss in amount of 0.6kg butter tubs. I might have to institute a plan like that, but for habits leading to the weight loss instead of the actual loss results.

Whilst the children are home I have moved away from recording food and working on habits. Started a new marathon training plan in the hope September happens so running 4 days a week and doing C25K on the elliptical the other 3.

A pic of me one year ago to remind me why I need to stay focused. I don't remember being pregnant!

    Hi Bob!

Do you plan to weigh in or do you want to be moved to support for the next few weeks?

I love the butter comparison. Fat in tubs now and not on your body.

I was moving a bag of cat litter the other day and as I was struggling I thought "just a few weeks ago this was attached to my body."

This is a great way to visualize!

I think I’m a bit dehydrated but I’ll take it! Now comes the mental stuff. Every time I get to this weight, I have a hard time getting past it. In the past I would sabotage myself and I need to figure out why this point seems to scare me! If anyone has any advice or insight I’d appreciate it.

At least it didn't go up! I have been doing well all week, but was very bad last weekend, and I know that is why my number did not go down. I hate losing all my progress every weekend, so I need to refocus a bit and figure out why this happens. I think it is because my schedule is off, and I figure "It is the weekend, and I need to celebrate with another cookie or white claw or chips."

Does anyone have any recommendations or tips on how to stay on track over the weekend other than "just do it?"

I am officially back to working on low carb.
I ate the last piece of fudge last night so all the real temptations are gone.
I had sausage and eggs for breakfast.
    Salad will be lunch

It took me a few months to maneuver how to relax a bit more on the weekends without disrupting progress. What works for me is to bank calories throughout the week, so that I don't have to stress about being over. I personally bank 200 calories per day M-F, which allows me to have an extra 1000 calories on the weekend. I eat 1500 per day during the week. This also allows for a much needed diet break weekly for my body. I'm averaging a little over a pound per week loss.
    Hope this helps :)

    Hi all,
Struggling with time at the moment. Not logging, trying to eat alright, not taking time for self care but trying to force exercise most days..... cant deal with the scales at the min sonwould like to be on cheer squad for this month if that's okay? I'm going to work towards logging again and will aim to be more active here ready for a full return next week

Did slightly better with food and staying active than last week, hopefully next week will again be better than this one! I think there will be a mini woosh in the near future, considering I lost 0.6 inches from my waist and a full inch from my hips since April 29th, but weight has stayed more or less the same.

Considering the habit-building process, things should be getting easier week by week. My feet are slowly getting used to increased step counts again, and my body is getting used to smaller amounts of calories.

Thank you, I meant til next month not next week in my original post, doh!

Scales have gone away and it feels like a weight has been lifted. I'm planning out next week and getting back to logging, or that's the plan!

    Happy Sunday everyone

Lovely run this morning, went out for 7 miles and it was so nice I went for 10. A shame I didn't have water and gels as I think there was more there. As a bonus going out at 6:30 I saw 4 cyclists, 4 dog walkers and one fellow runner in 7 miles on the trail, lately there has been that many every 1/2 mile.
