Good Morning. My moms results weren't ideal but they weren't horrible. The tumor in her brain has moved but they aren't overly concerned. She'll do checks every 3 months instead of every 6.
She has some swallowing issues so she'll see a speech therapist for them to evaluate that.3 -
@boehle Sorry!! I'm here!

Had an interesting Sunday... met the boyfriend's family. I was SO nervous. I was really worried we wouldn't have anything to talk about because.. well... my boyfriend is ex amish and his family is still amish. I absolutely LOVED them. One of his sisters, Martha, is my absolute favorite. The sisters and mom invited me to spend the day with them going to this swap meet thing.. so I think they like me too! Ugh.. he better not break my heart cause at this point I would be devastated to lose the rest of them. We had an amazing BBQ and it was all really really good food... and not too awful on the diet. Fresh veggies, chicken, mushrooms stuffed with cream cheese, noodles... so. SO. good. No chips, dip, cookies, processed junk etc. Back at it... hopefully a bigger loss this week coming up. After July 4th (when he meets my adoptive family).. I'll be set until until vacation middle of August to be on plan 100%.6 -
WHOA -- heck of a week and its just Wednesday!!!
How has everyone been doing?
Anyone with anything wonderful to tell us?
What are your thoughts on the new LTD line?
I feel like our team could use a little more motivation at the moment. Would anyone like to volunteer to step in as a MOTIVATOR? If you have team challenge ideas, food/fitness motivation ideas or recommendations -- you could be the new lifeblood of our team.
Any takers??

@WishfulThinning18 - so glad your family intro went well!!! I told my husband if we ever divorce I get to keep his mom 🥰
I understand how you feel!!!
Let us know how the second family meeting goes!0 -
@Beka3695 can you share more about the motivator thing, either here or pm? Lately I’ve been struggling with my own motivation, but found that writing here on the forums helps me keep myself motivated, so this might be a good fit. Would also force me to stay committed.
I’m pretty super annoyed with my weight right now, but yesterday I did some research and found both sunburns and bruises can cause significant fluid retention just like muscle soreness from workouts. My scale says my fat percentage is going down even though my weight isn’t, so I’m hoping this is just a case of holding on to water and I can expect a whooosh soon.
After the climbing session on Tuesday, I’m considering if I should take climbing or something similar up as a regular hobby. I was in the park for 3,5 hours, climbing and going on the rope courses with my friends, and it was so fun it didn’t even feel like a workout. Every muscle in my upper body, including my fingers, is still sore. I love going to the gym but could never do a 3-hour gym workout, and I think climbing worked more small muscles than the gym does. My aerial acrobatics course was already postponed to fall because of the pandemic, but it might still be fun to add another new sport to the mix and start treating the gym as complementary exercise.0 -

I really expected better than this after last week's big gain. But what can you do -sigh-1 -
I received a DM from @peachplace that her current weigh in is 252. I have updated the spreadsheet.
She is having issues getting into the threads. I've had this problem intermittently, too. @curvybaja55 suggested going thru Google and not the app. I used my laptop this am and no issues.
So if you are having trouble getting on and have a real computer near by -- try that.0 -
I took a peak of the scales this am... 201.6. I have been saying for months that when I get to Onederland, I will get my hair cut and all the brown cut off. Well, that appointment is today. I am going on faith that that 1.7 will be gone in the next day or so.
So, my pre Onederland gift to myself is a fresh look... Photos to follow!3 -
@Be_theBest_Me DM'ed her weigh in -- she is 171.0 this week.
I posted on my wall that if you are having trouble accessing the thread to DM your weigh ins.

After a week at the beach, I’ll take it! Also a NSV- the past two days I’ve had my best times since before my knee injury in June 2019! Not sure if beach walking helped or not (because it was quite sore at the time I did it). I also bought a Hypervolt percussion massage gun-pricey but definitely worth it for me!
I’ve also had problems accessing the MFP app. I’ll try using the PC if I continue to have issues, but boy, it’s frustrating!1 -
JULY Chat threads are open! Head on over for introductions and new month starting chitchat -- stay here for the remaining June weigh-ins and more chitchat!

Whoa I can’t believe it’s almost July already... mentally I’m still in May.
Yesterday I made some conflicting food choices: I had sparkling water instead of wine or cocktails when I went out for a drink with friends. Afterwards I got a weird craving for a specific frozen pizza, checked the calories on the box, and instead got some fresh bread with cheese and a big bowl of fruit. This would have been good, except I ended up eating almost the entire loaf of bread yesterday, and finished it off for breakfast today.
The Fitbit&MFP sync has been acting up lately. Today everything else seems to work except weight sync. It’s a problem because my weight goes from my smartscale directly to Fitbit, but Happy Scale can only sync with MFP so the Fitbit-MFP sync has to work for me to get my trendweight. I use trendweight as my official weigh-in here as well, so I have to come up with something different if the sync doesn’t start working tomorrow for my weigh-in day.

I went on a little stroll around the main forums, and FYI for everyone else having problems with the app, site and Fitbit syncs:
https://support.myfitnesspal.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044563091
Apparently there’s something bigger broken under the hood that they are trying to fix, and additionally there’s some additional Fitbit sync maintenance.1 -
@Beka3695 what should we use for our weight loss number? Our highest weight? The weight we started MFP? Or the weight when we joined this group?0

GREAT QUESTION!
Use highest weight. You deserve credit for ALL the pounds you have lost!!!

I am going to take a pass on the weigh in, I know I am up a bit and I don't want the scale dictating my mood this week. I am getting back on track, off work all next week so eating good, lots of exercise.1

This was definitely not a good month for weight loss. I know exactly the cause - I fell to too much junk food temptation. But I will not quit, I will not give up. Onward, stronger, more focused.1
