HOW IT ALL WORKS:
Every challenger weighs in on their chosen day, every week without fail! At the end of each week, the tallies are done to determine the team and individuals with the most weight lost. The best losers are announced with full fanfare every Sunday. The team competition is all in good spirits - may the most losing win!

We also track those small, steady losses with the Green Week count. If you lose, however small an amount, it counts for 1 week in the green. The total will be by month, and cumulative - so you can really rack them up and get to your goal even if you never hit the top of the leader board.

If you need a week off, a break, a change of weigh-in day - just ask your Captain here on your team chat page. If you take a break, you are moved to the Support Team. If you miss two weigh-ins in a row without asking for a break, you will be dropped from the team, so be sure to ask if you are travelling, sick, or just needing some time off. You can remain on the Support Team for as long as you need to. You still participate in the discussions and weigh in if you want to, but your weigh-ins will not be counted on the weekly tally.

Once you reach your goal weight, you join the elite Goal Zone! After hitting your goal, you need support to stay there, and you can help your teammates join you. You must continue to weigh in every week, and if you have 2 weeks above your self-defined goal zone, you go back to the regular team to lose that amount before it builds up. You will have a chance to hone those maintenance skills and stick with your team!

In addition to your own team, there are F2F Full Group CHALLENGES. You can do all or none - it's up to you. Participating adds a lot to your success, so we hope to see you there often! These can involve anything fitness, health, or nutrition - and they’ll get you moving, thinking, and learning about this journey. Check the Announcements section for full group challenges.

Let’s show our fellow challengers some F2F love! Introduce yourselves right away, and let the new month begin!!

    JUNE STEP CHALLENGE

Hello Downsizers!! Our June Step Challenge will be starting tomorrow, Sunday May 31st through Saturday June 27th!

Our goal is to keep ourselves moving 🚶🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️. We have no excuses!! We can find so many different walking/workout videos on YouTube. Many of us can get ourselves outdoors for walks or runs and others have backyards they can use to get those steps in. Or simply move that coffee table out the way and walk in place while watching your favorite movie or TV show.

Our challenge this month is to get our 10,000 steps in daily OR make it our goal to reach by the end of the month! Those of us who are already at 10,000 steps daily let’s set ourselves bigger goals. Let’s see if we can beat our TOTAL last month as a team! Every step counts!!

To join the step challenge, just post your daily step pledge here. Then post your steps DAILY so I can keep a tally. Let’s go steppers!!

Hello everyone! A new month is just around the corner and your team is looking for a couple of motivators to help keep up team activity and motivation.

We are looking for active, motivated, consistent individuals to help your team through the new month.

What do you need to do? Well here it is...

    Motivator’s Responsibilities include:

    * Be active in team discussions, encouraging and supporting the challengers as they post.
    * Encourage challengers to participate in challenges and in group discussions.
    * Participate in team discussions encouraging team participation.
    * Help remind challengers when they are due to post (and especially when overdue to post) weights.
    * Encourage participation in the moderators challenge and in the weekly team challenges.
    * Coordinate with your awesome team captains to see if they can use any assistance or if they have any specific tasks they feel you can assist with.

Let Linda or I know if you are interested in helping out your team. ❤️

Hi all! My name is Linda and I am co captain with the wonderful @mari_moulin. If you have any questions make sure to ask one of us.

I am a mother of 3 kids and 3 beautiful granddaughters. I have 2 fur babies. I recently lost my senior beagle Molly. I miss her company and our walks. I am thinking about adopting another senior dog.

My weight loss stalled for quite a few months due to a medication I was on. A few weeks I stopped taking it and the uncontrollable hunger has stopped. I am confident that my weight loss is going in the right direction again.

    Stats
    5’4”
    SW 262.8
    CW 204.8

    June Goals
    1. lose 5 pounds
    2. Walk minimum 5km 5 times a week
    3. Incorporate a strength routine 3 times a week
    4. Log all food accurately
    5. Stay within calorie goal ( birthday excluded)
    6. Drink minimum 8 cups of water daily

Hello Team. My name is Mari and I am co-captain with @lindamtuck2018. I am here to help her out when she needs me and I am taking care of the step challenge for her. Thank you Linda for being a great leader for our amazing team! Sadly we lost our 2 motivators over the past couple of months so we are currently looking for a couple of people to help us keep up with our teammates posts and help with motivation and support.

A little about me, I am 41 years old mom of 3 boys (2 teens and one preschooler) and married to a great and supportive guy. I've struggled with my weight my whole life and am finally very close to my goal. I've been stuck at my current weight range since last December and am desperately trying to start losing again. I’ve managed to slowly get the trend back down this past month but I’m still struggling. I have to keep in mind the it’s a life long journey and not a quick fix so I will never stop trying to better my health and fitness.

    My stats:
    5’6”
    HW: 338.8
    LW: 163.9
    CW 188.0

    June goals:

•Log all food. The good the bad and the ugly!
•Stay on or under my allowed calorie goal.
•Do at least 30 minute workout each day.
•Drink at least 2L water each day.
•Reach at least 10,000 steps each day.

Sorry ... posted this in the May thread. --- OK, @mari_moulin, you've convinced me to give it a try. I'll join the June Step Challenge. The 5 minute = 500 steps convinced me that I might be able to do this. And, I need to feel back in control of something. Since I can do my walking in 5 min chunks only, I'll just have to push myself to get in 4 chunks each day. And, need to get back to drinking more than 8 glasses of water each day. Thanks for the push ... off to do my first 5 min!!

Hello Everyone! I would def like to join the step challenge of 10,000 steps per day. I have been walking and riding my bike in our neighborhood during the stay at home order. My main problem is over eating! Esp since I'm at home so much and not able to go to the gym. Tried to workout with Youtube videos for the first month but sort of lost interest as the quarantine continued. Being outside seems to help my mood a great deal. Restaurants are starting to open in our area so hopefully the gyms will follow soon. Im an RN (not working); married for 34 years. 2 single sons; 1 at home. I'm hoping joining this challenge will help with my accountability and commitment! Thanks! :)

Happy Sunday Funday team!! Today I went for a nice slow walk with a friend of mine. It was nice to slow down and enjoy my time with my friend and the nice fresh and sunny outdoors. She surprised me by giving me a new fitness trampoline that I plan on doing when I can’t go out for my runs. (Rainy days).

Today we’ve been invited to a friends for a BBQ. I will try my best to stick to protein and veggies although I think I may have a beer. I had a smoothie for breakfast and may have one for dinner to keep my calories down for the day. I need to be very mindful of what I eat today I’d i want to come out of the weekend at maintenance.

Wishing you all a blessed Sunday ❤️

    Saturday’s check in
    Calories: over
    Exercise: 30 minute walk
    Water: ✅

    Steps 5/30 9,381

I went a little over my calories yesterday but this is the best weekend I have had food wise in awhile. My weight was up .8 of a pound this morning and I think that had more to due with the sodium I had yesterday.

I ended up going over a short walk yesterday. I had to get out of the apartment for awhile. I actually walked to the bookstore and giant tiger. I am really tired of the restrictions of the pandemic but we are in the first stage of opening so there’s hope.

I am a little late going out for my walk today. It’s Sunday so we can be slow. I am hoping to do 5 km today.

    Today’s goals
    1. Walk 5 km minimum
    2. Stay within calorie goal
    3. Drink 8 cups of water

Have a couple of household chores to do today. Am listening to a new book (Nora Roberts - Hideaway). Think I'll just make it a lazy day to finish off the month.
