Oh gosh...totally forgot about starting a June thread...duh! Love ❤️ the picture and the description....very inspiring! Thanks, Austin!

    Enjoy your WFPB lunch, Austin.

I took back the french fry cutter...no probs. Ordered this one (I was so close to going and getting more Alexia...but restrained myself)...my new cutter arrives tomorrow:

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KVSNCT7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Good reviews and when I posted a question, got answers immediately.

Here is a YOUTUBE posted today, by Dillon Holmes. Totally WFPB...and simple recipes...really simple. He has a great YOUTUBE channel...I would love for you to check him out!

The rant today was in response to I think Abby Sharp, who goes around critiquing everyone's diet that posts on YOUTUBE. She, IMHO, is a goofball. I love Dillon...he embarked on this path to really help himself and his mom. Her numbers were not good...now they are. He's a great young man...I admire him...and believe in him ... so passionate. And he lives in my area...hoping one day to have a meet up at Loving Hut...in Glendale, AZ.

    So, my menu today was...

black coffee still LOL...miss my creamy goodness...but my body is thanking me...so all good.
    carrot/orange juice
    oat waffles
    watermelon & cherries
    Gardein burger with the works
SALAD...will add some potatoes to it...maybe some black beans as well...or wait, no potatoes, just corn and beans...yes! That's the ticket.
I don't think there will be any dessert

Well, so far, Lulu got a groom, I got a hair cut/color AND I did get a mani pedi...and I am still fine...thanks God! My next big thing is a facial...I need my eyebrows done...I can't see to do anything with them...LOL...you are too young, but check out a picture of Andy Rooney...and that could be me very soon.

I will check with my esthetician and see what precautions they are taking...we'll see. Maybe still too soon to try that.

My feet sure feel better...so glad I did get a pedi yesterday.

Alrighty then, that's all I got. NO fries and NO creamer in the house. That's a win for me.

    Later, my lovelies!

PS Update in getting back into my complex's gym.

Well, I am jumping through the HOA's hoops...last step picture taken. Why couldn't it be today? NOOOOOOOOOPE. That would be too easy. I had to make an appointment for Monday, June 8th! AT 5PM. That's practically my bedtime! LOL

Mornin' all... I had no internet last night so I couldn't get any work done from home. It worked out okay, made a big batch of cooked veggies and greens, unloaded the dishwasher, did my yoga, got to bed early. I probably wouldn't have made the veggies if I had been able to work, and the greens were getting to a point where they wouldn't have been any good if I hadn't got them cooked pretty soon. Only two more days to get through this week and it has been a rough one.

Thanks for starting the June thread.

Here's to a speedy two days for you...sorry this week has been rough, Mihani.

I am up, having coffee...going on a very quick Sprouts run...need just a few things to get me through my work week.

Really looking forward to that French fry cutter...hoping it gets here early...says before 9.

Menu today is pretty much like yesterday...

    coffee
    juice
    waffles
    Gardein Burger
    watermelon
    salad with potatoes

Austin, what is that group you lead for weight loss? I saw something about it and then lost it.

Ok, then...think my coffee is ready. Have a lovely day you two.

    Cheers!

The waffles, I totally weighed and measured everything...adding twice as much water...to make them go farther. One BIG waffle, 138 calories. Oats, banana, water, flax meal, orange zest, vanilla. Kinda fun to play around with and use for dessert at night. Different things you could add or use at topping. I'm sold on this recipe.

    For two...
    1/2 cup oats
banana 76 grams (without the peel)
    1 T flax
    1/2 t vanilla
    1/2 cup water
    orange

*Just noticed...my phone is not syncing with my computer...weird. Recipe looks off when looking at my computer. Not sure what's going on. Oh well.

    Good morning, plant-based friends!

Hey, Magic -- Good for you for staying on track with your menu. Another "waffles and watermelon" day! Hooray! I hope the potato cutter arrives and is in good shape!
The group I think you are thinking of is another group in the MFP communities area - Fat2Fit. I don't own it or anything, but I have certainly gotten a lot of value out of it. It's a monthly challenge with several teams. It is what I guess you would call a "method agnostic" group. Members are all doing their own thing as far as ways to pursue weight loss. The group is about accountability and support.

To be formally part of the challenge, you sign up during the last week of the preceding month (MFP name, starting weight, day of the week for your weekly weigh-in). All that said -- if you want to join Fat2Fit and start being part of a team's conversations, I think you can join Fat2Fit and request to be added to a team mid-month. The only difference is that your weigh-in won't be part of the team report until the next full month starts. Check it out. If it's of interest and you want any help or more info about anything, let me know!

Mihani, I can imagine last night not being the worst night to be internet-free. So glad you got in some cooking and some good rest!

I am on target for a good WFPB day, and am making progress on Scary-Behind Projects!

That’s it Austin...will check it out. Appreciate you posting!

French fry cutter arrived. Made 1/2 inches. Just ok. Will make 3/8” tonight.

Easy to use ...but it has to be disassembled to clean. A weekend thing... but I’m glad I got it.

    Nap time.

Glad you’re making progress on scary behind projects.

Hope today is a good day for you Mihani.

    Later, mates.

Hi all... internet working so I guess I should be too. But I wanted to take a minute to post. I had a good day. I'm really concentrating on fruit and veggies this past week. I have eaten some beans and starches too, but to get away from the snacky salty that's always my temptation (like pretzels and blue corn chips) instead I just eat more veggies and fruits. Seems to be helping. I'm also eating oatmeal for breakfast again. I go through stages of eating breakfast or skipping it for a week or two.

Hope your fries turn out well, Magic. Your plans sound great.

Austin, hope you make some progress on your projects.

Back to work, Friday...just one more day for Mihani and a TWO DAY VACAY! summerdrinkwh.gif

Hope the projects continue to make progress, Austin! transcriptsmiley.gif

Up, having coffee coffeebath.gif ...today will look like this:

Just made two waffles...(made a double batch of batter...it will keep for my four day work week)...
salad with beans, corn, cilantro, dark leafy stuff
    watermelon
    Ezekiel bread with Gardein burger

    That's it...might have a mango when I get home.

Only thing not that great is the Gardein...I know. -sigh- Need to work on that.

Have a delicious day everyone! eatysmiley.gif

Coffee is still black and no processed fries in the house. Gotta be proud of those two accomplishments! goldstar.gif

I still have my watermelon to go...salad and a mango when I get home. The almonds were at my desk again...and I indulged...and my co worker had a big Tupperware full of chocolates. I took both to the back office where they will stay til she starts her shift Monday at 2.

I signed up for premium. Just FYI...if you sign up for premium from the website, it is 49.99 for a year. If you do it on the app it is 79.99 I do believe they will be making both 79.99...but for now they have not changed the website. I wrote them. Just in case anyone is interested.

After a year, if you continue on, you pay the price you started with.

I was thinking this might help me make better decisions...worth a try for a year. I would love to say on June 5, 2021 I am at least 135 OR less!

    Later my dear friends.

Hi!!! Glad this week is over. Brought lots of work home to do this weekend, but at least I'll be home. We're not in downtown proper but close, and I don't want to be anywhere near downtown this weekend.

I didn't have a great WFPB day. Had a Sweet Earth vegan wrap... they aren't even that good but I still had a couple in the freezer at work and I forgot my lunch. Picked up my goodies from my salad prepping friend and have stuff to make the glowing spiced lentil soup this weekend, so I'm all set. Tonight's dinner will be leftover veggies.

Tell me where you live, again, Mihani. Glad you are home...stay safe. I was just about to eat my salad...but will wait till about 5:30...that's in two hours.

I decided to just open my diary...it is what it is. Only people I care about getting some constructive criticism from is PLANT PEOPLE!

I left a group I was in for many years...they had too much political stuff (I had let many things go, but during this unrest, it got to be too much for me). There was very little sticking to healthy eating programs. I was the only WFPB anyway. No support.

I know I have things I need to work on...I am a work in progress.

Well, I just hope you guys are safe...I have plenty of work to do...better get at it. Later, dollies.

Mornin' Magic! I'm in Columbus, Ohio. Our office is near downtown but I live in a suburb.

I have cashews soaking to make dressing later. Probably un-honey mustard. I am not sure my spinach is still good so I may not be able to make the glowing spiced lentil soup today. I will go to the store tomorrow to get greens for the week. Also need to set up my salads for the week.

I got up early so I'm going to get an early start on work. I have a hair appointment tomorrow. Just getting it shaped up no color this time. Also need to get lots of laundry done this weekend and do a little cleaning.

Plan for this week is to continue concentrating on veggies and fruit and beans, keep starches and nuts/seeds to a minimum.

    Thanks, Mihani <3

Well, I finally came home and ate exactly what was left on my menu...one med fresh mango..oh my gosh. So good.

Today's menu is exactly like yesterday with a couple changes. I thought I had another bag of Trader Joe's Herb salad...(it is so good)...but nope. So, romaine. NO almonds today. They are not raw and I don't need them right now...they are in the other office, along with the chocolates my co worker put in our drawer.

Still having a Gardein Ultimate burger but not Veganaise. It was only a teaspoon ... for now...just using ketchup.

So, today looks like this at a glance...

    black coffee
    oat waffles and jam
    watermelon
    gardein burger
    salad
    mango

then it is lights out and it will be Sunday again!

Have a great day ladies. Cheers!

Taking my measuring spoon with me. I will switch to no oil dressing... for now, using Newman’s light Italian...no sugar added.

At home, berries over hot waffles. Now, my waffles are cold. But good.

    Small changes, big results.

Off to get dressed...then to work.

Monday I get my complex ID... GYM soon. Recumbent bike, treadmill and pool.

    Cheers

Gosh, I love to eat...I am always sad when my food is gone...just finished my waffles. Now, I have to wait til lunch for burgers...but I can have a little watermelon before then. I think I just love to eat. Wait! I know I do. LOL

But truly, this is just day two of really and truly be honest about what and how much I am eating...I feel better in one day.

I am going to keep this up!

    Cheers!

    Happy Saturday morning, friends!

Magic - We are all a work in progress, I think! No shame in that!
I am sorry your other group got too political and grumpy.
The group I sent you info about (at least the team I on, Mission Slimpossibles) is great about not talking politics at all, and about staying focused on support and behaviors and accountability. So might be a plus?
Not a plant people group, though, so might not be what you are after...

Mihani - I have to smile. I love that you had planned ahead and had emergency rations in the work freezer, so yay for that. And if the worst you can say about your day is that you ate a Sweet Earth vegan wrap, well.... that's so much healthier than what so many people choose! Not great, maybe, but a better bad choice!

I am planning a good WFPB day. Breakfast highlight was some fresh mango. Yum! I think I love mangoes the way you love watermelon, Magic!

    Hey, Magic!

I saw this recipe and thought of you.
    https://www.forksoverknives.com/recipes/vegan-desserts/awesome-sugar-free-fruit-pops/

You know how you like YouTube? I have signed up for possible a few too many plast-based recipe newsletters via email. So this was from an email from Forks Over Knives!

If, like me, you don't have or can't find popsicle molds (I had a set years ago? no idea where it is now), you can freeze the stuff in other containers! (I like the mold idea but would not be using this recipe, as I'd pass on fruit juice in favor of fruitwith the fiber):

Ohhhhhhhhhh LA LA, Austin! Will look into it. Fun stuff to discover today when I get my work done. I did see your group...you are so active...I don't think I could keep up...well, not yet for sure. Something maybe for the future.

I rewrote my profile...starting kinda fresh...excited that I did sign up...and am taking it very seriously. My meals will be much more veggie strong on my weekends...well, Mondays - Thursdays. Kinda have to keep is within reason when I am at work.

As it is, I am eating a salad at my desk. LOL Yesterday, a salesman told me I looked like a rabbit.

My mango was delish last night. I have one more for tonight. Tomorrow, early, I will go to Sprouts and get more watermelon and mangoes.

Also, I need some dark leafy greens for my salad and more romaine. I do have some no oil dressings, I need to break out. I ordered them from the Well Your World website...$10.00 a bottle. I love this guy...Dillion Holmes. I posted his rant the other day.

Ok, dollies, gtg. Back to work. LOVE YOU!

    Cheers!

The temptation to nap when I'm working from home is strong, and I usually succumb to temptation. I got some work done, napped, got up and made my salad dressing (started cashews soaking this morning), and will put together my salads next. I also need to cut up a watermelon that is sitting here. Then I'll work a while longer this evening. I have a new printer that I need to set up too.

I love the extra gifs in the threads Austin, keep it up! It brightens things up. :)

Sounds like you are doing great Magic! Sometimes a little something to reinforce commitment can do wonders.

Tonight's dinner will be the last of the leftover cooked veggies, cheezy chickpeas, watermelon.

A nap is good to restart the engines...that's what I think, Mihani!

Having my salad...what it needed was some baked potato in there...next time.

When I get home, mango and straight to bed to watch tv with Lulu...I am not messing up this day.

Be well and safe my friends. Cheers! <3

Just getting ready for work....made it to Sprouts... watermelon is just ok...a little mushy...mango for later when I get home.

    Coffee
    Waffles
    Gardein burger
    Watermelon
    Salad with baked potato
    Mango

    Yum x 10

    Have a safe delicious day!

Well, all I have left is my salad...but I just ate my lunch, so I think I am going to eat my salad at home...put MORE greens in and make it huge! In fact, this will be a good way for me to approach Sundays...SALAD and fruit dessert at home.

That is if I can hold out until after six for dinner. Fri/Sat we are going back to closing at 8 so dinner must be here...and my salad is on the smaller size.

Tomorrow, I get my ID and I will see what hoops I must jump through to get into the gym. I will try the treadmill and recumbent bike and definitely use the pool.

Alrighty then, hope you are all having a good Sunday. Cheers!

I didn't make cheezy chickpeas last night... instead made a batch of easy baked tofu. Ate half last night with cooked veggies.

    Today was good.
    B - ezekiel toast, watermelon
L - big ol' salad, rest of the tofu, more watermelon

Lunch was late so I just had an apple for "dinner" since I'm not too hungry at this point.

Love Ezekiel toast...I think I have enough batter for two more waffles...then it is time to switch up breakfast for three days.

I at my potato at work...but will add a bunch of stuff to my salad when I get home...just over an hour to go.

Nothing exciting going on...really focused on sticking with my plan...for the next three weeks for sure. It's time I got serious.

June 29 is the baby's 1st birthday...as far as I know, my niece her dh and the baby will be here for a week or so. The party is on Monday 6/29...I want to wear something fun and feel comfortable in it. There's the motivation for now.

    Later, dollies!

    Happy Sunday night, friends!
We had a dinner-or-drinks Zoom call with some old friends. Very nice, but I am getting tired! I wanted to catch up though, before I turn in.

Magic - It sounds like you have been having a great weekend! Did you watch anything fun on TV?
How exciting about the baby visit! That does sound like a great excuse to experiment with.

My upcoming big event is a possible gathering of my martial arts school community. So I will be doubling down on careful food choices, work on martial arts, and on cardio and weights. My motivation for now!

Mihani - I hope you got in a good nap today! I started to take one and got interrupted. I am going to do a bit more exercise and then try to go to bed early!

My menu for the day has been a good ETL menu. Nothing surprising:
B-green smoothie with broccoli, spinach, blueberries & spices; almond butter & goji berries; a little sliced mango
L-steamed spinach & white beans; zucchini, tomato & onion; steamed mushrooms with carrots & grape tomatoes; steamed butternut & turnip with diced fresh apple
    S-apple slices & pb
D-big salad with plant-based dressing; steamed butternut & turnip with diced fresh apple

Love your Pink Panther, Austin. Great motivation to stay the course and even batten down the hatches.

At work, having my waffles on the go. Will make up another batch and eat HOT tomorrow with blueberries.

Tonight, picture for HOA I.D...so I can use the gym.

Nothing else going on...off at two and very happy about that. Woke up too early.

    today

    black coffee
    waffles and jam
    watermelon
    Ezekiel/Gardein burger with ketchup
    mango
    popsicle

    HOME:

Big salad with home made French fries...using the 3/8ths cutter tonight...excited about that!

Spending goal for the rest of this month through the summer...no AMAZON SHOPPING except for Stella's birthday and my auto ships that I get every couple of months.

Hope you are all good and safe.

    Cheers!
