    Friday’s check in
    Calories: over
    Exercise: 47 + 42 minute walks
    Water: ✅

    Steps 7/18 12,292

    No self care yesterday

I binged slightly again last night. I noticed today that binges happens on the nights this week when my shoulder has kept me up. I have had a few days this last week with 4 or less hours sleep. The good news is I am going on Monday for my cortisone shot so maybe my sleep will improve and my eating along with it.

I did not walk this morning as I am exhausted. I am off grocery shopping as soon as I finish my coffee. After the kids go home I am going to indulge in a nap this afternoon.

    Happy Saturday everyone!

    Today’s goals
    1. Walk 30 minutes minimum
    2. 10,000 steps
    3. Stay within calorie goal
    4. Drink 8 cups of water
    5. Bed by 11:30 pm

This is such a great tool to help keep track of our goals. I did it for a few months and then lost track along the way. I’m planning on doing this again starting extra month once my move is done.

    Good morning!
Yesterday I ate what I didnt eat in 55 days. I came exhausted from the hospital. I didn't sleep at all there. And it was arriving home and needing to move my *kitten*. We are fixing the garage and making a bedroom from it and that's quite some work. After that cleanning the house and basically non-stop.
And that ended up in pizza, cola zero, sunflower seeds, vegan crispy chicken, a mini ice cream, 50 grams of chips, more cola zero....
It could have been much worse I must say but I didn't have stuff at home and living in the mountains helps 🤣 No shops around unless you walk 2 hours.

Some days are going to be like that so don’t beat yourself up. Today just start back on your normal routine. Sounds like that is a lot of work so on the plus side you probably burnt a ton of calories.

You will probably see a good bit of this weight drop off in the next few days. I know on the days I over indulge my weight jumps drastically the next day. It seems to settle as I go back to normal eating. If you are sore and inflamed it will cause water bloat. Next week is going to be a great week for you.

    Saturday’s check in
    Calories: over
    Exercise: 36 minute walk
    Water: ✅

    Self care: had a nap

    Steps 7/18 8,222

I went slightly over my calories yesterday but I did not binge. We had some higher calorie, yummy snacks which I did have some. I am determined to make it through the week binge free.

I woke up really late this but I walked as soon as I got up. I am going to try and aim for 10,000 steps but we are going to my sons this afternoon and I have a lot to do before then. I have no idea what we are eating but I am going to enjoy everything while watching my portions. Of course there will be cake 🍰 for my daughter’s birthday.

Let’s make this a great week!

    Today’s goals
    1. Walk 30 minutes minimum ✅
    2. 10,000 steps
    3. Stay within calorie goal
    4. Drink 8 cups of water
    5. Bed by 10:30 pm

Left the house shortly after lunch yesterday and didn't get home until wee hours of the morning. Dinner was provided at the event. Tried to be careful ... barely squeaked thru just under daily limit. Whew!! Need to buckle down, get eating and exercise back on track ... still want to try to make my July mini goal.

I've somehow lost my mental focus. So I've spent this morning researching "losing focus" ... "staying focused" ... "regaining focus" ... and how focus differs from motivation. Between now and the end of July, I plan to restructure my goals and, hopefully, develop a couple of tools to help stay focused and motivated.

If you have any tips on maintaining focus, I'd appreciate hearing them.

    Have a great day Y'All!! 🌞

While the numbers on the scale look great, unfortunately it was due to a drop off on calorie consumption and stress. I had to say goodbye to my dog of 13 years due to a sudden illness. The grief is hard to navigate but I know I will get through it. I also got some concerning test results back on my kidney function that I’m hoping was due to dehydration. I go back to test again this week so I need to get my nutrition back on track. I didn’t log my food for s few days but there wasn’t much to log anyway. I’m hoping Monday is a better day.

Stress can be a detriment to weight loss. We all experience stress for a variety of reasons but we all have our own ways of coping. What helps you mange stress?
