Oh no, Magic... that is scary. I know you were being very careful to stay away from people and to wipe down your work area so I hope you weren't exposed.

It is just so disrespectful to the employees and says, to me: Hey, we don't really value you as a human being and really don't care about your well being!

    Just not cool.

Ok, things are looking up...I hope it's ok for me to put my CLEAN THIS JOINT UP PLAN and RESULTS in here...as I am so stressed and need a place to report to.

So, still ok, no covid symptoms...that's a BIG thing. Receptionist is coming back tomorrow, so I do not have to work...another good thing.

I have plenty of tables to set up in the garage and clean out the dining room and living room. I think if I just do that and get THAT done, I will feel so much better. Steam mop the floor...dust...make THAT rooms look nice...and stop trying to clean that darn kitchen.

I have decided to give a ton of stuff away ...keep a set of Curtis Stone cookware that is nice and give the rest away. Thin out all the plastic. I need a place for everything...and easy to get to.

That is my plan for today after work and tomorrow morning. Nail appointment at 1. My feet need attention every two weeks...or the nails hurt...and then I am a whole other new problem area.

Wednesday I will work on my bedroom. Thursday, the bathrooms. AND unclutter the guest room.

A lot to do...but I am going to do this.

Speaking to refi lady tomorrow to get the ball rolling. Might be able to lower my monthly mortgage by $200 - $250. That would be a huge relief!

Ok. so today when I get home...change clothes and immediately start to set up the table in the garage.

Begin making trips out to the garage with all the clutter....everything goes on the tables. Get this totally done tonight, Monday!

Clean living room and dining room on Tuesday!

    Menu:

    coffee
    oatmeal
    veggie bites
    fruit
    salad and burger
    fudge bar

    HAGDE!

My other option is totally remove all the clutter ... that's what the tables are for...and then

call Molly Maids, or Merry Maids or someone and have them come out on Thursday.

All I would have to do is make sure all rooms are clutter free. Let them hard core clean and just pay the $200 or whatever it will cost and save my body. Get it all done this weekend. Then it is all in the garage and I go through it.

    I just might do that!

    *************

    ETA:

I put a call into Molly Maids for estimate.

My vacation is early next month. I do not want to be cleaning on my vacation. I want to be out at the pool first thing...walk Lulu and just enjoy life. NOT CLEANING.

I am going to empty that house in the 2 1/2 days I have and see if they have come on Thursday.

There....I just made up my mind!

    Happy Monday, friends!

I have been eating more fruit and winter squash the last couple of weeks, and saw my weight tick up a bit on my weekly weigh-in today, second week in a row, so looking to buckle down on that a bit. I want t build muscle, but know I am not adding a pound a week of it. *sigh*

Mihani - Your spaghetti squash recipe is inspiring! I'll have to pick one up on my next shopping trip.
I hope you got in some treadmill time and are feeling well in general.

Magic - I hope the house changes go well. You sound as if it is a bit stressful, but overall an exciting positive change for you and Lulu! Lower monthly payments sounds so great! Good luck on Thursday!
I am so sorry to hear about the virus-related stress at work. As Mihani says -- we know you were being careful about distance and cleanliness. It sounds like airborne, with time spent in proximity to someone, is the riskiest, so hopefully all is well for you.

Shred - Hey Queen of All Plants, hurray for the vegan pasta that your husband likes! What a great find!

    My plan for today:
B - green smoothie, gojis, almond butter, half an apple
L - steamed greens & garbanzo beans; steamed veggies; acorn squash, turnip & apple dessert
    S - apple slices & pb
D - big salad, homemade dressing, some pineapple/fruit

Magic, your plan sounds great. I like the idea of hiring some help. Don't want to hurt yourself! I got rid of tons of stuff when I did my whole house declutter. A friend with a pickup had contractor bags and junky furniture piled higher than the cab and off to the dump he went. I also had an auctioneer come in and take a bunch of stuff. Didn't make much money after the costs, but more stuff out of here. Glad you are feeling well and have some days off coming.

Austin, I love that you keep such a close eye on your weight and progress each week and make adjustments as necessary. So smart!

I had cooked the squash and brussels sprouts yesterday so just had to throw the recipe together when I got home. It was okay. I remember now that I liked it but it wasn't a WOW recipe that I would want to make over and over.

B - ezekiel toast with PB, blueberries
    L - big ol' salad
D - spaghetti squash and brussels sprouts, a sliced apple dipped in vanilla almond milk yogurt

My weight isn't budging. I need to get consistent with exercise and quit indulging in alcohol on the weekends. It pretty much just evens out all my weekday virtue. I do have it down to more like every other weekend at least!

Thanks so much for the support...I just got off the phone with Molly Maids...and I am booked for July 28th...two weeks from tomorrow. Gives me plenty of time to declutter. I already started moving stuff out of the living room/dining room...

Will do a little more tonight and then gang busters tomorrow morning when it isn't 116 outside.

The fact that the clutter is going is already making me feel so much better. And knowing I will have a team clean...that is super. I am hoping they do such a great job that I can have them every two weeks.

I will make trips to Goodwill for sure...Tuesday - Thursday, early...that will definitely help.

Ok, then...my mood has just done a 180...that's for sure. I'm excited.

Later, dollies. Thanks so much. <3

Living room and dining room done ... just area by door is a big mess.

Lulu and I are resting in my very cushy reclining Lazy Boy...bought it when I thought I was going to have foot surgery for bunions ...did not go through with it. Lulu is so comfy in it with me. I’m icing my feet ...knees are holding out...THANK YOU GOD!

Magic - A big woohoo! And FYI, I wrote a hurray-to-your-project message earlier today and did not finish it and get it posted, then lost it entirely. So I will be shorter anjd sweeter now and just hit that POST button!

Anyway, congratulations on getting all that cleaning done! I am impressed and inspired!

Off to eat an on-plan lunch (beans & greens, steamed veggies, fruit), then some housecleaning and some project work!

Yay Magic!!! So proud of you and happy for you! You earned that pedi. :)

Hi Austin, glad things are going well in your world.

I am in a mood. I am finding myself SO irritated by everything lately. Really must try to adjust my attitude.

Off to eat my salad and I'm going to bed early.

Thanks so much girls! The living room dining room is so open and spacious now! Feel like a human being again.

Tomorrow is my bedroom bathroom .

Hope your mood gets better Mihani...a good night’s sleep is a way to fix that!

Way to go getting on your project Austin.

I am still in shock that I actually got started on cleaning. I did not take pictures because I was too ashamed that I let it get so bad. Did not w@nt a reminder. Anyway it is burned into my memory bank....never will neglect my sweet home like that again.

    Later, dollies!

Good for you, Magic! That sounds like a big job and you're gettin' it done!

I just started doing a daily schedule, since months have drifted by and I feel I've done so little.

So, in addition to my eating commitment goal to write down the next day's meals the day before, I'm going to do the same with my daily schedule.

    Take care all!

Great goals, Shred! I am right there with you...I will never get this far behind again.

Up early, having coffee and writing out checks to the government...so fun! Changed the linens in the bedroom and at 6:45 will head out to mail checks, pick up laundry and quick stop at Sprouts.

My goal today is to clean my bedroom! Bathroom, might just be pushing it. So I will clean that tomorrow unless I am totally fine, knee/feet wise. My head wants to do it (FINALLY), just not my body.

The lender/refi guy called yesterday...and we will be starting the process today. Very excited because that means I will for sure be able to go to 3 day, 33 hour work week in the future. That is if this refi turns out as good as it looks right now.

I will continue to work, because I believe that does keep me healthy. I am responsible for being at work and doing a good job...that means I MUST TAKE CARE OF MYSELF...I think it is, at least for me, a kind of health insurance.

    Today's men

    coffee
    oatmeal
vegan salad like Sprouts, cept I will make it...quinoa, garbanzo beans, sunflower seeds, carrots, lettuce, tomatoes...I think that's it....but I will add broccoli and cucumbers.
ultimate Gardein burger with the works
    fruit...peach and cherries

Alrighty then, my friends...time to get busy. I am typing this post from the living room, the blinds open for Lulu...her bed is next to the sliding glass door...I just am so happy and so much more peaceful. Wow.

Thanks to all of you so very much for your support. Later, sweet peas!

Happy Wed! I'm 15 days into McDougall and I'm finding that I like the Maximum Weight Loss program as a permanent eating style. It is fairly repetitive, but that seems to work for me.

Finally got my DH to try cauliflower gnocchi and sauteed mushrooms...and even some watermelon (this is a man who lives on homemade breads and vegan cheese.) And, I'm sneaking potatoes onto his menu and our son's.

    Take care, all! Stronger together!

Magic, so happy for you that you got so much done! Good luck with the refinance and getting things all in place so you can cut back your work hours a bit.

Shred, I admire Dr. McDougall too. Glad you are finding more things your husband likes. I'm a watermelon addict in summer. And it's soooo good for you!

How are things in Austin world?

I am in a bit better mood today, but I'm just tired of this year. I'm finding myself impatient and irritable a lot of the time. Need to work on my mindfulness! Work is just nuts and I am really having trouble keeping on top of things.

Pretty normal WFPB kind of day...
B - ezekiel toast with PB, a vegan protein powder shake (made with water)
L - cooked veggies, a Dr. McD soup
D - big ol' salad, apple slices dipped in vanilla almond milk yogurt

Mihani...done! We are done. I have a few papers to gather...but I am locked in at a low rate! NO appraisal is necessary. It was waived. Wow.

All that major decluttering ...and only LULU and me get to enjoy. That's just fine with me. I will be done with my decluttering by July 28th. That's when Molly Maids come. Not letting up.

Finished the bedroom...need to do the bathroom. But I am tired.

Will work on the rest of the papers and get them faxed to my guy tomorrow EARLY.

I signed all the papers...E signed everything. It is a done deal. Wow, that was fast, eh?

Glad you are feeling a bit better, Mihani...without this distraction I have, I would not be in the best mood. Listened to a bit of a program I used to enjoy. Turned it off quickly. Just can't take any news at all lately.

I did see Dr. Esselstyn on Chef AJ's program yesterday. That was fun.

Shred, I think after I get all this mess cleared up, I will join you on McDougla. Plantiful Kiki (youtuber) swears by it.

Ok, then...think I am going to rest my eyes a bit. And then back at gathering papers!

    Later, my dear sweet peas!

Thanks kiddo...you sure had a lot with pushing me forward on this idea. Good thing I did not let the mess of the house keep me from going forward. And then when I found that one paragraph by someone who asked the same question...WHAT ABOUT MY MESSY HOUSE? lol

Anyway, feeling relieved that I will be able to live my life out here in our home...hopefully, I can drop 7 hours in the future and go to a 33 hour week--work Fri - Sun. That might be a few years away. Two at the most.

Hope everyone gets a good night sleep. Off to have some fruit for dessert. I thought about having something delivered to celebrate...but decided to stick to my menu. Tomorrow morning, I will be glad I did.

    Night all.

Yuck! My husband baked buttermilk biscuits and I had one, now I feel like cr@p. I can't believe that I used to eat flour, sugar, butter without a second thought. Of course, I usually felt pretty crummy, too. It takes a lot of my resolve to manage eating in a household with too avid bakers, but I'm going to do it! Just had to "confess"..I don't feel so much guilty, as yucky.

    Great news, Magic!

Shred, I think sometimes going over to the dark side actually helps keep our resolve in the end!

Every once in a great while, this happens to me. It only goes to prove to me that I am so much happier and feel so much better being true to my program. And it is really about that ... it’s up to us to live our best lives.

Woke up in the middle of the night ...thought I would drop in. 🤪

    Be up for awhile.

Faxed papers to lender. Need just two more.

    Walmart stop for BUBLY...mango.

    Home, had breakfast...resting up.

    Menu

    Coffee
    Breakfast burrito
    Gardein burger
    Fruit mango
    A big salad
    Cherries

Off to take a rest and then finish my dressing area and bathroom.

    Later, the dreaded kitchen.

    Later, dollies.

Things are rolling right along, Magic. Well done!

Shred, a guy who used to hang out here one time said he ate something that "tasted like guilt" and I thought that was hilarious! I am glad you didn't feel guilty though. I think guilt is a really bad thing when we're trying to better ourselves. We can't think we're bad people or failures. Just have to live and learn and keep moving forward. :)

I had a MUCH better day. Less irritable and things were less hectic at work. I'm still drowning in work, but I was able to make some headway. Sometimes even a little progress is enough to bring me back from the brink.

I had a cheat today... couple bites of dark chocolate. I wonder if that is why I was in a better mood! Honestly, I'm not big on sweets so they aren't much temptation and I don't overindulge. My downfall is always overdoing the starchy stuff and the crunchy snackies.

Other than that the day was good. Ezekiel toast and PB for breakfast, big ol' salad for lunch. Dinner will be a veggie wrap with hummus. I am not eating much fruit lately, not sure why. I love it, but just not craving it like usual. I will pick up a watermelon on my grocery run tomorrow.

So glad your mood has improved, Mihani! <3

Didn’t do much. Need one more paper for lender. Will try to get it to tomorrow while at work!

Kinda a bit of a slug today. Kitchen is a mess. Coffee is ready to be made for tomorrow...that’s about it.

Need to finish getting lunch ready!

I think what is going on with me is some boredom and irritation. I love my family, but oh my, I just wish they would go away for half a day so I could have the house to myself! Granted, no one can go very far...but oh, for 4 hours of sheer me time!

I just discovered nutritional yeast! The bomb...tonight's dinner was a package of defrosted cauliflower, microwave then rolled in nutritional yeast, and then in the air fryer. Then some marinara sauce..oh my, delicious!

I'm so glad to have found this group. Where else could I get so excited about yeast!

Take care, team, and best of nights.

Howdy, everyone...(Austin, we are missing you, btw!)

Back at work...it's my Monday...all is good here...everyone is coming back to work...I totally wiped down my desk and everything I use before I started.

    Today's Menu

    coffee
    breakfast burrito
    peach
    a salad and Don Lee's veggie bites...https://www.donleefarms.com/product-page/organic-veggie-bites
home with Lulu...share fruit with her...cherries!

    Have a great day everyone!

PS BTW, I made up my bed for the first time in ages...changed my routine also...had so much extra time with a all most clutter free living room/bedroom/dining room...so easy to get myself ready for work.

I am for sure going to keep going. I like this newly improved life of mine! <3

My good day yesterday... karma got me for celebrating it! LOL Oh. Em. Gee. Crazy day. I got home late and can't seem to rally.

This is just a quick check in. I'm going to have a couple glasses of wine tonight but will eat a good WFPB dinner of water stir-fried broccoli and cauliflower with brown rice. Nom!

    Hi there! Quick check-in!

Sorry to be quiet. It has been a bit of a crazy week -- both busy (tax week!) and some technical issues getting with both MFP and my internet. All seems calm now, so I am in here catching up.

On the plus side, I have stuck to my WFPB/Eat to Live food plan.

Mihani - I hope you enjoyed your dinner and wine this evening. That sounded like some nice down time at the end of a busy week! I am inspired at the idea of decluttering so much that it frees up time. Wow!

Magic - Wait, Lulu likes cherries? What a character your puppy is!
Anyway, hurray to all that decluttering! So SO inspiring!

Shred - I SO get feeling yucky when eating some things, and biscuits is unfortunately on that list for me, too. My husband is now super happy to have me not eat bread, as we both noticed how nice it was that digestive misery just... went away eventually. It is amazing to look back and remember that I used to feel bad from things I ate so much of the time.

Hugs to all! What a week!

    Good evening, Plant Folks!

A good day! I bought a Rachel Ray divided serving dish did half with potatoes, and half with a veggie medley and that's been my lunch/dinner...plus my family is gradually learning how great potatoes are...so a win on the stealth Mom nutrition front!

Take care all, I'm grateful to have all of you as support.

Just a night when I can go to bed knowing that I respected my body...!
