I don't post deep and thought provoking things everyday, sometimes, we just need a kitten and a laugh.

5th August
Bit early, but I don't think I will eat or drink anything else. Got my second glass of wine next to me, but am feeling pretty tired and will have an early night listening to a BBC podcast. They get me off to sleep in under 20 minutes!
Exercise: Yes, done my 30 minutes walking. I seem to have crawled out of my rabbit hole, because I looked at walking along the beach to the Spanish border, 187 km, could do that in 10 days? A week? Less? I know I can walk for some 4 hours without problems and this is all flat. I'll do a trial run of the first leg on Friday.
Calories: Yes, stayed under. Still not cooking.
Tracking: Yes, logged everything.
I've also started working on some research in my chosen area, first time in years, doing my mental health the world of good.
Took my partner who has Alzheimer's to the cinema last night. He totally lost the plot and I didn't lose patience. I really think I am turning a corner. This is so important for my physical wellbeing! It makes it easier to stick to UAC...
My apartment is nice and clean again and I have clean sheets! Grateful for small things!15 -
Love the pic of the cat! Tomorrow it will be 5-1/2 months since I had to put my 16-1/2-year-old cat down. I sure miss her ๐ข8

Taking pass day 1 today. That 3-1/2-hr walk yesterday wore me out. Also, hubby and I have been doing our weekly ordering out meal on Wednesdays, and I just donโt have the umph to burn it off with exercise. Back at it tomorrow6

Oops...guess Iโm pretty tired...LOL. It will be 5 months tomorrow my cat died, not 5-1/2 months.4

I am in my hometown since July 30 because of my anual leave. I will be back to the city I live on this Sunday. I have lost the track even though I do portion control here but I know I am passing my calorie limit everyday. I will start posting daily after August 9.5 -

Its past 10pm over here in London and I'm only just having my dinner. Due to some unforeseen circumstances I couldn't get home in time to cook and have my dinner at 6. Instead I had a headache, I'm tired and so I settle for cereal and a slice of bread. One of those days...

1) More than 20 minutes of daily exercise;
2) Tracking the caloric intake of both food and beverage;
3) Consuming no more than your chosen limit of daily calories
4) Daily or every third day reporting of your fulfillment of the above.
5) At least 7hrs of sleep
1) 60 min ๐โโ๏ธ, plus a bit of ๐ดโโ๏ธ and a very brief ๐พ
2) โ
3) Deficit: 36 cal, not worth mentioning. But what is worth mentioning is that I went over 2000 cal and at the thought of using my 3rd pass on the 5th of the month, inspite of sleeping so well last night, I felt like giving up this challenge. However, I got in an awesome run in the evening (5,15 miles in 50 minutes) so here I am, still ๐โโ๏ธ.
5) Sleep: 9h โ๐๐11 -
@dewit ... to quote GalaxyQuest ... "Never give up ! NEVER surrender!"
Always consider the first month or two (or three) here as "getting the hang of it" even if you DO end up using 3 or 4 passes relatively early on. After #4, just consider yourself "in training" for next month .... and next month, aim for using 1 (or more) fewer pass days than the one before. Repeat.
A deficit of 36 calories is STILL a deficit! Yay YOU on that and on the awesome evening run!
(and see my note re your Aug 4 entry ... you DIDN'T use a Pass day then, as you DID answer yes to the UAC Big 3 questions. #5 (sleep) is a bonus item that you are tracking for yourself and not part of the "used a pass or not / make the Winners Circle or not" equation.4 -

Thank goodness for prepped food. I ended up having to work the entire which threw off my plan to come home & cook. Kids helped which made it quicker & easier (they were home all day). I am happy to still be on track.7 -

Yes, yes & yes. NSV for today: I ended working a 12 hour day and once I realized how the day was turning out I was able to take out 2 frozen homemade lamb burgers (slider size). Hubby BBQ'd them and I ate mine with a side of grapes. Voila: an easy meal & still within my calorie goal. So much better than when this happened last week and I ordered a queen-sized pizza and gorged on it for the next 24 hours (supper, breakfast, lunch, snack & supper again). So I guess July was "training" for August; slowly I'm learning to how to stick with the program!5

I had a friend over for dinner! I carefully managed breakfast and lunch, and was able to enjoy a glass of wine and some crusty french bread. Very proud of myself and I was not hungry at all.5
