    Great idea to get your entire family and our team on board with you @angmarie. I made the change from ground beef to ground turkey a year or so ago and it was pretty easy. As turkey doesn't have much flavor on it's own, it tends to take on seasoning very well. I need to add more fish to my diet though. There are so many health benefits from it, I don't know why I don't eat it more often.

    Really disappointed not to have moved in the right direction this week but not surprised either. I had a tough week and often didn't even think twice before reaching for a snack. It's a habit that I'm determined to beat but my mind just wasn't there to focus on being healthy. I did start to do more exercise consistently though so I'm happy with that progress!

    Hi,
    Don't be too discouraged,I haven't lost consistently at all,even though I have always stuck within my calorie goal.I stuck for 2 weeks in a row then lost 1lb then stuck again & lost 2 ! I notice if I walk more I seem to lose more.So great that you got into a good routine with exercise 🙂

    @angmarie thanks for sharing. As a mom with two young kids I understand the challenge of feeding kids healthy foods. Most days I settle for ANY food that they’ll eat. But the problem with this approach has been that I get to a point where they expect the unhealthy stuff as an option that they always have. So I’m consciously trying to stick only relatively healthy stuff so the bad stuff is not even an option even if I feel desperate...
    I’ve been reading up on the heart healthy topic too. This. Opening when I took my kiddo for a walk I felt a tightness in my chest and freaked out that I was having a heart attack. Thankfully not...and I’m fine ...typing this in the evening. But it was the last straw for me to think hard about my diet. I’ve been on with being active but have to tackle diet.
    Two things I’m currently trying:
    1. Trying to lower milk intake ...for the 1st time ever bought almond milk.
    2. Trying to cut out added sugar as much as I can... fingers crossed...

    On amazon prime I’m watching this documentary- foods that cure disease- if true, scary that a lot of the staples could be so harmful.

    I guess I might be hitting a plateau, true to say, looking forward to tomorrow to be better.
