I was disappointed after such a great week last week to only see 1lb this week. But then I sit and think that TOM is here, and I actually lost during this time and thats amazing. I am also working through the C25K program and just completed this morning Week 7 Run 3. I can now run for 25 minutes without stopping. I couldn't even do 1 minute 7 weeks ago. So I need to remember that win, lose or snail moves I am building a stronger me and any progress is good progress.
Have a fabulous Friday y'all
@mooreshelly09 Don't be disappointed! A one pound loss is great! 👍0 -

🤷♀️
I think I might be retaining some water since I've been doing more strength training lately. Maybe that's just an excuse. I might need to rethink my intermittent fasting because I'm having "woman issues" (monthly visitor not showing up and there's no chance of anything else) and I read a while back that can happen with women? I might switch to 14 hour fasts.
My daily walk is usually going to the bus stop to wait for my kids after school. Yesterday we were waiting for 20 mins when finally a neighbor told me his kids called and said the bus broke down so he was going to get his kids. So I rush all the way home (it's about 0.75mi round trip so not terribly far, unless you're pushing 80 pounds of babies) get the babies in their car seats so I can drive to pick up my kids, barely get out of my subdivision when the bus driver calls and says he's almost there. What a mess! Not to mention is was almost 90* so we were all toast by the time we got home 🥵

Grateful for a loss as little as it is. I am trying to remember every little bit counts! This journey has been a rollercoaster ride lately with a lot of stressful ups and downs but I am sticking with it. I find it amazing that during this most stressful time we are all taking time for ourselves to be healthy. You all are very inspirational to me. This week I am going to do 3 things: 1. up my daily exercise calorie burn from 500 to 600 2. cut out my late night snacking (no eating after 6:30pm) tea is fine 3.drink 16oz. of water with every meal/snack. Feeling hopeful. Happy Friday everyone!!!

Exercise yes (if you count dancing to the teletubbies!)
I had my grandsons over today who are in my covid bubble. Apart from the teletubbies, they had fun with my two big calculators.
Seven year old has autism and is dyslexic. He was putting in random numbers, memorising them and adding them again. He got some big numbers and was asking me to say the numbers. He was loving the numbers in millions.
He said 'I have lexia and I am writing them down in a red pen as then the numbers don't leap about'.
Steps 3428, oops, not so good. But a fabulous day.

It sounds like a very beautiful day with your grandsons. What a great attitude your grandson seems to have. An excellent way to get in exercise!0 -

Thank you all for your support and encouragement. TBBT - You are awesome!
Also thank you to everyone who provided some insight on the breakfast question. I am always trying to decide whether breakfast helps me with my weight loss or hinders it. There have been times where it has helped and times where it takes a way calories from the the part of the day that I really struggle with hunger.
I believe this is the last week of the October.
Do you have any goals to reach by Saturday?
Have you learned anything about yourself, food, exercise, anything weight loss related that you plan to carry into next month to help you succeed?0 -

@brandi_84 My goal for this week is to finish the C25K app and run a full 30 min without stopping on Friday, and to lose 3lbs this week (stretch, I know) but that will round my month out at a 10lb loss. I have learned a lot about myself this month, this body as out of shape as it may be can do wonders. I will be restating the C25K app the next week to work on my pace. My goal for the month is to continue be accountable and to weigh less at the end then I did at the beginning.
I hope everyone has a fantastic week!4 -

@brandi_84 Ok my pushing it to limit goal would be to reach 186 by Friday’s weigh-in (3 pounds) and fit comfortably into my size 8 jeans. What has really turned things around for me is no eating after 6:30pm (my husband is on board for this too) and drinking 16oz of water for every meal. Adding 10 minutes to my exercise has made a huge difference in my energy level. Good luck everyone!!!

@prehistoricmoongoddess
Did you post for the MUAC for Friday, the 23rd?
It is ok if you didn't. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't overlooking it. I went through the posts several times to try make sure I was caught up for the week.0
