@1theresamcvean - Please be careful with that ride to High Park. I drove by this morning on our way to my older son’s hockey practice. It looks like half of Toronto had the same idea and the park is packed. I did see your photo and that is a really nice fireplace. A bit elaborate for our needs, and I am looking for something that is not wood burning. We bring our outdoor heaters inside after use because they are a “hot” commodity right now (no pun intended) and could get stolen. We will see what our friend recommends.2

Perhaps I'll go to High Park on a weekday instead. I guess we'll just do a little ride south and back and see where we wind up.1 -

I think I may have fallen asleep on my personal remote control and accidentally hit the pause button! Third straight week with no weight change. Guess I'm eating too many Canadian doughnut holes! lol

This past week I continued to smash my personal goal of getting up at 5.45am every week day and Spinning for 45 minutes before heading in to the office for work. I had to drop evening sessions and didn't do any lifting, but that's a result of listening to my body so I call that a win. I do what I can, when I can do it. And I don't sweat it if I can't (pardon the pun )
I also upped my step goal to 10k steps per day, and I hit that all but Friday, and I physically couldn't because of pain. So, steps for the week:
Sun: 13398
Mon: 10096
Tues: 11933

Thurs: 12801
Fri: 9337

Went for a beach walk yesterday, but lingering pain so only did 4.6km. Feeling a bit better today (Sunday) so I think I'll be okay to lift again this week, probably just going to take it easy today though. My calories have been right on track so I know that's fine, I suspect the small weight loss is just due to inflammation. Still, I'm only 400 grams off my lowest weight from a few months ago, so onward!5 -

I haven't checked in since my weigh-in, but have been reading the posts each day. Good going with all those losses!
I have been generally eating on plan and within calorie target, and getting bit of exercise (mainly walking). With one exception... on Friday I received package in the post from work (all the company are working from home bar a handful of people). As we had a very successful quarter for new business (we are financial services), they sent everyone a little jar of penny mix sweets. Worked out 1,181 calories. I shared a few of them with partner and kids, and then proceeded to eat half throughout the day. I did weigh and log each time, and as I had been exercising I had calories available for them. Bad point: I woke up at 2am, went and got the sweets and finished them off! I paid for it though with a poorly tummy yesterday.
Anyway - stepping on the scales this morning, this happened:
First time under 170! (Probably due to the poorly tummy yesterday, but hopefully I can make it stick!)
@kiane50 so sorry to read about your cat. I have lost 2 cats in just over a year, and my last one, Curzon, is nearing 19 years old and my heart breaks thinking that I may lose him in the near future. Big hugs to you x4 -

This week was a bit of a write off for me, happy with the lb lost but between writing midterm tests and dealing with a cranky sick 3 year old (luckily just an ear infection and hes already back to himself) I didnt exercise as much as I would have liked. Just not enough time in a day. This week goals are staying pretty much the same, drink lots of water and keep moving.4 -

Yes, I'm back at the gym and seeing my trainer a couple days a week but having an issue with my knee so we're doing mostly upper body so I don't aggravate it. I've only been going the days I work with him since I know I would want to do things that would probably not be good for my knee.
The PA at my doctor's office thinks it's a Baker's cyst. I was told to ice it and rest it and was given 10 days of Naproxen. The pills have been gone for a while now. They helped a little. I'm going to have to call back and see what the next step is since I still have some issues with it. Only some things bother it so it may just be a time thing. The PA had talked about possibly xrays and physical therapy.
I'm really behind on posts. I hope you and your family are doing well.4 -
I'm several days behind on posts(again. 😯
It's past time for me to get back in gear. I do well for a few days and then not so good again. Seems so silly. I know what works but I don't do it. I have my annual physical in January and need to at least get back to what I was at last year's appointment.
I called the jury phone number and the automated line said there were no jury trials behing held this week so I don't have to go for jury duty nor do I have to call again until next week.
I worked for a few hours yesterday afternoon(Saturday) to help out on 2nd shift because they were short people. It sounded good at the time I said yes but I'm really tired and tonight I have to start at 8:30 instead of our normal 10:30 start time.5 -
@tryingagain5 I'm sorry to hear about your knee, I had a bakers cyst in June and thought I had just tweaked it running. An ultrasound showed it was actually a bakers cyst. I didn't find naproxen did much either but I did start wrapping and icing it and ended up getting the fluid drained , it took about 3-4 months but its finally back to semi normal. Hoping you feel better soon! It can be rough trying to excercise while accommodating an injury.2

My steps got higher as the week went on. I have a doctor appointment this week, I am hoping they will let me take my neck brace off outside so I can go for a small walk around the block by myself. I'll take a mile. Yesterday we had my granddaughters birthday party. We had a lot of fun. She was very excited opening gifts and eating cupcakes. I was very sore and tired at the end of the day.4

I know it's an excuse but this has been a really bad pain week. I have to fix my mind lol so I'm not eating just to eat.5 -
@tryingagain5, I'm sorry to hear about your pain, I hope it gets better!
@mxlaw your babies are so cute!
@ljdanny way to step it out!
@cuddleme72 Just take it one day at a time, you got this!
On a side note to everyone, with some of us in the northern hemisphere and the weather changing, I've found TONS of walking workouts on Youtube for free. I've got a little collection of them saved up for bad weather, plus my Zumba dvds ready.4 -

Three and a half hours later...the daylilies are ready-ish. The back bed (similar size) has been cleared and is ready for iris and dark yellow lilies...planned to mix the lilies but split a bunch and there were too many. Half ended up in the yard waste. . Now I'm sore and cold.
Weighed in at 210.2 today. Let's see if we can keep it there the next couple days or drop a bit more. Since I've edged off on candy (peanut M's and candy corn (what was I thinking?!?), I'm less snacky. Way over yesterday because my husband made pancake breakfast and then lunch was left over fish & chips from the local brewery (so yum!) that we got celebrating our first meeting 24 years ago.
In the convo re: pain management...this might sound weird but I found that when I'm having bad pain (like migraines) days, yoga or pilates actually helps. Or walking. My knees and hips LOVE to slip out of place (especially when I walk) but walking helps. (I do not advocate for most people to walk on dislocations...very stupid for general population...just advocate moving). And the days I hurt the most waking up are the days I MUST move, else it gets worst. Okay, must put phone down, hands and shoulders hurt too much...

Well, I would have loved to have a loss, but I figured I was going to have a gain, I'm just glad it was only 1lb as it could have been much more! So...phew! Lol. Hope all is well with everyone! Tomorrow I have an appointment with a Psychologist for different tests, then Tuesday is my Psychiatrist appointment and the 26th I go for an MRI. Never had an MRI so I'm quite nervous!

Happy Sunday! I stated earlier that I have been on a roller coaster of weight lately, OVER my magic number early in the week. I have tried really hard tall week and was determined to get back to 127. This morning I was pleased, I went from 128.4 to 125.8 this week. I have no idea what tomorrow (weigh in day) will bring but I am enjoying today.
@eggfreak – I use a 5 pound weight range (125-129) I call 127 my magic number. If I get to 130, which I have not done in quite a while I know I would freak out. And jump back in to serious diet mode. I just looked it up and the last time I got to 130 was April 17, 2019. The range idea seems to work for me.
@kos33 - congrats on the loss
@kiane50- so sorry about your cat, our fur babies are very much a part of our family and our hearts. Hugs for you!
@1theresamcvean – that is a great picture of the dog and your nephew, such a cutie!
@mainbeachbum – the best thing you can do is to get rid of the big clothes, it will help you stay focused.
@annliz23 &@ xX_PhoenixRising_Xx – love the pet pictures
@padpeerson1 – hope that you had a great birthday!
@sleepymom5 – good to have you back and great to start to feeling like yourself again. Hope the family party was a blast

@Cafelelia – nice loss, especially after Thanksgiving

Weigh In Day: Monday

CW (Current Weight): 225.8 lbs
LTD (Loss to Date): 36.2 lbs
I’m not sure if we want to use last weeks weight, it was such a huge weight gain! I had thought it seemed out of whack, a huge water weight gain. The Friday before that Monday weigh in, my weight was 229.4. Should we replace the previous weight of 234 so my weight loss is not so extreme?4
