Ended up with about a dozen tortilla chips and 2oz of queso dip. Then I ordered a steak fajita salad, no tortilla strips, no olives.

I ate all the meat, some of the cheese and sour cream and guac, some sauteed pepper and onion, and some greens. Didn't put any of the Chipotle ranch on it, with the veg and sour cream and guac, it didn't need any moisture. Squeezed a restaurant dinner in under 900 calories and honestly, half of it was chips/Queso.

    Sounds delish Nic

I made a baked penne last night. Used protein+ pasta, ground beef, marinara, ricotta, and mozzarella. It was so good. High in protein, but also higher in calories though I used lean meat, less pasta, and part skim cheeses.

Salad nicoise - spinach, tuna, egg, potato, a few olives and dressing. Lots of prep but totally worth the effort!

That sounds like an awesome salad!😎

You kids are cooking/eating out awesome 😎

Me? Just spent 935 Cal or so on an... Ok-y-sh meal!

Foot long subway turkey breast no mayo or other dressing, all the veggies including hot, pepper only, yes to the peppery monterey Jack with a bag of Doritos and a courtesy cup of water from the fountain 😜

Got a roast beef sub today for lunch. 380 calories, no Mayo but add 100 calories for provolone cheese. More calories than usual lunch but I was fasting for lab tests. And the sandwich served as breakfast and lunch. Yummy!

The shop had a Lego sub sandwich/ship on display -

Subway 6"? Double cheese? Their 6" cheese is usually in the 14g range. Canadian values for cheese on 6" range from 40 to 60 Cal from processed to Monterey!🤔

Been very lazy this week for food. No cooking, basically subsisting on cottage cheese, yogurt, chocolate protein milk, protein bars and coffee, fruits and veg, lol.

Meeting goals, the most modern convenience way possible.

Tomorrow I am baking a lemon-raspberry cake from scratch though, and I'm making a birthday feast Friday for my youngest's 20th.

No Subway - it’s a local sub shop. Fresh and better bread.

I want some of that birthday cake Nic!

I did subway for lunch yesterday. 6" turkey sub on multigrain, pepper jack cheese, spinach, tomato, red onion, banana peppers, and sweet onion teriyaki. I did have a bag of chips with it, but still was pretty low calorie.

Sounds tasty Athijade! I don’t dis Subway but when there’s a better local sub shop I prefer going there. Our local Subways tend to be somewhat lower standard.

    Lego sub way cool!

6" sub is a go to choice. Tried Subway so far (& quiznos, sadly out of business now.)

It’s a thing of beauty Nic! However I could not be trusted within ten feet of that cake. Don’t know how you managed to bake that and not lick every spoon and bowl - not to mention a slice (or two) later.

Going to make a one pot lasagna thing tonight with ground turkey, tomato sauce, cottage cheese, shredded mozzarella, bunch of seasonings, etc. I will take my portion over mushrooms or egg white noodles vs the normal pasta for the family.

OK young lady! Say more! I am thinking of doing something with my leftover turkey ground that I froze. Was thinking of doing it on zucchini. Now wondering about the one pot lasagna! Maybe I will use the google thing!!!! ;-)

@HappyAdventures chilled watermelon on a hot day sounds like a beautiful thing! The takeout chicken sounds potentially very tasty… but a nightmare to log!!! 🤣🤣🤣

I got baby potatoes yesterday and some zuchinni. Got bell peppers, got onions. The turkey ground. Lots of chicken sausages from costco (they were overwhelmingly salty for my taste). I am eating nairn oat crackers — 110g so far — and contemplating the bounty in the fridge!

I cut some excess zuchchinis in round/coin slices and froze. Now wondering how to use/cook. Imagine will be a bit mushy when thawed.

Do have some canned pumpkin so might try small # of muffins. And will use some in veg stir fries as a bulk (similar to cauliflower as a bulk addin.)

Lasagna type sauce (meat, tomato sauce, cottage cheese) goes so well with zucchini.

Generally raw veggies don’t freeze well. However if you cook/roast until lightly soft they freeze beautifully.

well, I boiled the potatoes and the zucchini and since the water was there all the recently expired eggs in the fridge ;-) And then grilled the sausages…. now contemplating drowning them in a jar or two of sauce to imitate the home made deliciousness of Nic's stuff… at a slightly lower level!

Unfortunately I've been a bit of a slug so far today PLUS an oatmeal cracker and cookie slug… so the available budget is…. relatively unavailable!

sounds nice and healthy—and low Cal enough to FIT Nic!

    I was abducted by parental.

We ended up (how original) having a beer and a burger and, in my case, onion rings (he had chips)!

For some strange reason I seem to be unable to stuff my day's intake into my day's allotment today!
