Taking pass day 1 of 3 today. The good news is that I was down .7 of a pound at this morning's weigh-in. Back on track tomorrow.

If you are working remotely, like I am, has your sleep quantity and quality improved or declined
I guess I would have to say that working remotely has improved my sleep a little bit. Aging certainly does change our sleeping abilities for whatever reason. But not having to stress about getting into the office by a certain time has put less pressure on me. This year one of my actual changes is to NOT use an alarm clock. The kitties are good enough.

I am confused? Don't you live in Florida? Snow on the ground and a beautiful Sunflower in full bloom?
I am finding the older I am, that I don't need as much sleep as younger. I also find that I often get up before the alarm clock; however, I do NOT want to rely on myself yet!

I had to put in a good amount of time today on the treadmill! Since I was still awake last night until 4:30 A.M., I was texting my friend. She has a hard time right now with her husband, and the pandemic can do that to a relationship. She knows that I am usually awake crazy hours through the night! So I played therapist until the early morning and tried staying awake by eating sugary foods! A bad habit I used to rely on! I wrote it all down, but first thing in the morning, I logged all of what I ate into the food diary. Wow! That was an eye-opener! I had only 40 calories left for the day! This was NOT going to work! Happy to report problem corrected!

    1/10
Exercised: Yes, 90 mins on the treadmill at 4.5 speed, and I actually jogged for a straight 20 mins and increased my speed from 3.9 back up to the 4.5 that I used to do! ( burned 912 calories!)
    Tracked: Yes
    Calories: Yes
    Pass Days: 2 left

Tonight in bed at 10 pm!

Sleep is probably not any different due to Pandemic. I either sleep really well or really terribly!

Exercise - Yes. 70 min kickboxing class. 60 min walk
    Calories - Yes
    Tracked - Yes

Re: Sleep...Going to work daily hasn’t changed for me, as I work in an essential service. My sleep has been thankfully quite good. Despite the general strains of this year it has actually given my family more much needed quiet time together. Our pre-COVID itinerary was heavy with my kids’ multiple sports and extra-curricular commitments nearly every evening, which would often cut into everyone’s sleep time.

Re: sleep - pandemic and peri-menopause have been playing havoc with my sleep. I am finding extended release melatonin somewhat helpful... but that didn’t stop the “not wearing a mask in a crowd” dream (?nightmare) I had last night...

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? 76 minutes of cardio -- a HIIT workout of just different types of burpees for 35 minutes (yes, I died a bit) followed by a cardio dance class.

Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes and under

Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yep!

I focus on sleep a lot and thankfully my quality and quantity rarely changes. I get up almost every morning at 5am to workout, so if I don't have good sleep, I can't do that. I have a very specific sleep regimen I follow -- every "school night" I start to wind down around 8:30pm and I'm in bed between 9-9:15pm to read. I read only paper magazines -- no electronics. And I read until I fall asleep.
