Didn't see the ice under the water in the puddle. Studs never had a chance to get a grip in the ice and I went down hard enough to active my emergency beacon. Bruised hip but the bikes OK.2

I have a good start ad 5-3/4 miles. Please put me down for 60 again.
@sufferlandrian Ooh, ouch. I hope you are okay really. This sounds like my cousin. He was crowded out of the bike lane by a semi driver not paying attention. He broke his leg below the knee but the bike was just fine.
@clepant I'm so happy for you.
Thank you Janet and Dave for running the challenges.1 -
@Dean: It’s funny how happy we are to not damage our bikes. I am so glad you did not get seriously injured, but a fall like that sounds like someone is going to be sore for a few days.
@Libi_KK: Tnanks! I always hate probing because that gives them more to find. At least I know my inners are okay.
Feb. 3: Adding 6.75 miles today of two walks

Yikes! Glad you are ok, Dean.
I'm at 10/50. No more miles until this weekend. I'm going to spend the next two days driving. I hope I don't blow up my diet completely!0 -

On shift 4 out of 10 in an 8 day stretch. Those are 14 hour shifts. Thank heavens for exercise. Cycling helps keep me from going crazy.1

Sorry I spaced off updating yesterday! Got busy putting up some new shelves in the garage and doing some reorganizing. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I finally got a couple pieces of garage "art" put up and the man cave is really coming together. Still some more stuff to put up, go through and throw away or list on FB Marketplace.
@DEAN - OOF!! That sounds painful! I sure am glad you didn't break anything. I hope the Ibuprofen keeps the pain to a manageable level!

Thanks for all the well wishes. I just keep moving and it works the bruising and inflammation out. Besides, I subscribe to the theory, "No Brain, No Pain". Or maybe it was, "Bumbles Bounce". Either way. Doing great today with just some stiffness in my back and one leg. Nothing stretching won't fix.1

@Dean: I always subscribe to moving. It seems to always help me work out the soreness.
Feb 5:Adding 7.05 miles I got a pitiful snail pace jog in this morning and a brisk walk in this afternoon. My walk pace dropped another 30 seconds per mile...progress.
