Hey everyone quick check in. I know I already posted my intro but I thought I’d add a little update. Yesterday was my official weigh in day and even tho I did have a loss for the week, I was feeling a little disappointed because I had actually done better earlier in the week. I’ve been working out for 2 weeks now and had a gain last week due to water retention from muscle pain but that’s gone now and I guess I was expecting a big loss for the week. Anyway I totally let this play with my head, to the point of making myself physically ill. I spent my day eating like a jerk, sleeping, and had lots of dizziness from all the crap food I ate. I’m a bariatric patient so some foods make me very ill. (Dumping syndrome). Anywho I woke up this morning as weighed in 2 Lbs heavier than yesterday. I’m so disappointed in myself. I worked so hard for 2 weeks and it only took one day of stupidity to bring me back to where I started.

I was so angry and frustrated but I got my gym bag and went straight to the gym to let out my frustration. I must learn to not turn to food when I’m feeling down or upset. This is my worst habit and so far it’s been the hardest to change.

Anyways, that’s all. Sorry for venting and thanks for taking the time to read me ❤️

Uhg dumpings are the worst! I have them whenever I forget not.to drink water after food.
The bad habits are quite difficult to change but not impossible! And every day is a new day to start over. That's the beauty of it.
It's annoying to do a lot of effort and not see the results we want but they will come

Hey everyone! I just joined the group and am super excited about it. My name is Emily and I live in Colorado. I’m 36 and a single mom to the most amazing 2 little girls who are 4 and 5 (they are 11 months apart), a ragamuffin cat and in a few months a German shepherd will be joining our family. I’m a serial starter on MFP and am really hoping this group will help me stay on track and accountable.

Welcome to the family! Prepare yourself a warm tea because once you are here, you feel so comfortable that you don't go.

    Weigh-in Day: Sunday
    Previous Weight: 156.5 lbs.
    Current Weight: 154.3 lbs.

@COscorpio8402, Welcome Emily! This a great, supportive group and I wish you success on your health journey.

Hi, I am Deb, a 5'7", 57 y.o. kidney/transplant recipient. I am currently Stage 4 chronic kidney disease. My health and weight have not prevented me from living my dreams. I have been zip lining, hot air ballooning, tandem sky-diving and owned 4 horses. My dreams for the future include participating in the Insane Inflatables race, axe throwing, trampolining, learning archery and if I ever save up the money, to drive an exotic car in the Xtreme Xperience and to see a Chicago Bulls game.
Currently, I walk(weather permitting) and do beginner weight training. I am teaching myself to play acoustic guitar. Was given my boyfriend's guitar after he died of Covid in December.

    Wow you are so inspiring!

What pushed you to start your weight loss?

Turned 49 last May and I was at my highest weight ever. Decided to challenge my self to lose 50 by 50. I am a little off pace but I am down 30 officially this week and have 29 more to go.

Hello and congratulations on the January win to all of the Downsizers!! I thought I’d check in tonight to start the month off right and we’re already 3 pages deep! I’m coming back to the team after a break when I needed to get my time management under control. I’m still not fabulous, but I’m doing a lot better than I was. Now time to get those pounds back off! I started with the team in May ’20 and lost 20 pounds in about 3-4 months. Since then it’s been a STRUGGLE. I’m looking forward to getting back into team mode to motivate me more into holding myself accountable.

Something that’s now only 5 weeks away, yikes... an annual ski trip that I take with friends and my cousins. We skipped 2020 due to COVID-19 but we’re still planning on going this March to Park City, UT. The last time we went in March ’19 it was to Whistler, BC and I had the worst week despite it being one of my favorite places to ski. I don’t know exactly what I weighed but when I finally weighed myself to start MFP I was at 232. I didn’t have any stamina to ski a whole trail, much less the whole day. I was also in a ton of pain because I was cramming my way too big calves into boots that I bought when I weighed about 40lbs less. So my goal is still to increase my endurance, lose weight, and gain strength especially in my legs. I’ve been good about continuing with my strength and cardio training, but now I have to get back to it with keeping to my macros.

Thanks, Megan! I’m going to hold off on the step challenge for now until I get consistent with checking in here, but especially as it starts to get nicer in NY toward spring, I hope to be back in that too!

    Good morning beautiful people
Today is 1st of February, month of the Carnival and Valentines 💝 If I'm completely honest, I love carnival since I was a baby. One of my favorite things to do is wearing costumes. Valentines day, I must say I only give a *kitten* about it when I'm single and feeling lonely. If I'm with someone, every other day is valentine day.
I went to the scale today and I didn't fall in love with what I saw. I think I haven't been this fat since 2005. Its really weird to be writing everything you eat and everything you sport (not much lately) and still go up instead of down.
Om Thursday, if I'm.not wrong, I have another appointment for someone from the obesitas team and let's see what they say.
I'm scared. Really scared of how my weight is going up and up.
Today after school I will try to do zumba. See how I feel. After that let's see also if I can concentrate to do the homework.
So far, @lindamtuck2018 today I'm ashamed but 136.1kg I'm in the bus so I can not check how much I was last week.
    And @Megan_smartiepants1970 yesterday I did 11.242 steps
