Here is your Team chat room for February 2021. This is where you weigh in every week, post your goals and progress, discuss any issues or topics of interest, share ideas, support your teammates, receive help when you need it, and dream big. Try to post every day, and help each other succeed!

HOW IT ALL WORKS:
Every challenger weighs in on their chosen day, every week without fail! At the end of each week, the tallies are done to determine the team and individuals with the most weight lost. The best losers are announced with full fanfare every Sunday. The team competition is all in good spirits - may the most losing win!
We also track those small, steady losses with the Green Week count. If you lose, however small an amount, it counts for 1 week in the green. At the end of the month we celebrate everyone who lost every week. You are heading steadily towards your goal even if you aren't at the top of the weight loss leaderboard!
To make your weigh-in easy to find for your team Captains, please put it right at the top of a message, and use this format:

If you need a week off, a break, a change of weigh-in day - just ask your Captains here on your team chat page. If you take a break, you are moved to the Support Team. You can remain on the Support Team for as long as you need to. You still participate in the discussions and weigh in if you want to, but your weigh-ins will not be counted on the weekly tally. If you miss two weigh-ins in a row without asking for a break, you will be dropped from the team, so be sure to ask if you are travelling, sick, or just needing some time off.
Once you reach your goal weight, you join the Goal Zone! You need support to maintain, and you can help your teammates join you. You continue to weigh in every week, and if you have 2 weeks above your self-defined goal zone, you go back to the regular team to lose that amount before it builds up. You will have a chance to hone those maintenance skills and stick with your team!
In addition to your own team, there are weekly F2F Full Group CHALLENGES. You can do all or none - it's up to you. Participating adds a lot to your success, so we hope to see you there often! These can involve anything fitness, health, or nutrition - and they’ll get you moving, thinking, and learning about this journey. Check the Announcements section for full group challenges.

Hi Team TrimStones!! Welcome to MY MONTH!! Why is it mine?! Because the 1st of Feb is my birthday and I called it!!!! BWA HA! I get to torture @mulecanter all month long! LOL

I'm Jessica, one of your two captains...been absent for the past six weeks due to a knee injury, but I'm back and although I'm still taking it easy and trying to get worked back up to previous exercise goals, I'm doing GREAT with my eating! I dropped from an 1800 calorie per day allowance to just 1250-1300 and it really got me motivated! All my swelling is gone and now that the knee is much better, I am starting to get moving again. I'm excited to see what this year brings for all of us!

I'm ready to get back in on the step team. I need to hit it hard this month, so I'm going for 14k a day. My favorite place to walk is in the mountains, but that doesn't happen much anymore since I live in flat lands now. Oh, first name is actually Jonathan. Not sure I have given that before.1

Please could I up my steps to 13k.My favourite place to walk is my local park.It has everything paths,woodland,a river & it has been restored back to how it was in Victorian times.I just love how it changes in the seasons,and the weather.1 -

Gutted a week on track hasn't even lost me a single pound.
Now I'm feeling better Fitness February starts tomorrow- raising money for Parkinson's UK & have signed up to another Trainer from my gym, recommended by mine, who is doing an on-line course of PT.5 -
I’m Cheryl. Excited for my 2nd month here, now that I’ve ironed out how this all works.
My goals—Focus on daily habits:
🌟Log/stay within calorie allowance
🌟Meal plan/prep
🌟At least 30 min exercise
🌟95 oz H2O
Adding this month—🌟hit protein goal
And... I’d like to change my weigh-in day from Monday to Friday please!

I have never done any groups on MFP, so please tell me if I’m not doing what I’m supposed to or doing something I’m not supposed to!

My January triumph (along with actually having some weight loss every week) is that I did 100% cut out soda! There are still dozens of things to improve on, as my overall sugar intake is definitely still higher than it should be - free snacks at work are not always my friend - but I did make a positive change, and I'm happy about that.
I'm hoping to start more consistently moving in February to boost loss with exercise rather than just minding calorie intake. That was something I'd wanted to implement in January and did not succeed at, so now is the time (: . Won't be joining step challenge yet, but probably next month if I can successfully get myself going in the next few weeks (and remember to charge my fitbit!).
Fingers crossed to get back into the 100s as early as possible this month, but don't want to yoyo so will be trying to keep loss slow and steady.5 -
The Green Challenge Percentage of people who lost weight this week. No matter how small the loss the weights are recorded in green. Remember that even if your team doesn’t rank the highest in weight loss for the week you can still be the Green Percentage winner by having the most losses in your team! So keep it up!!

I’m in a similar situation. I was gradually dropping weight, about a pound a week, then I gained two pounds and the scale hasn’t budged. I’m aiming to drink at least 40 oz of water, with a goal of 64 oz. While the scale is being stubborn, I’m trying to remain positive thinking of the changes I’ve made:
- Eating healthier
- Exercising, finally
- Drinking more than 8 oz of water
- Sleeping better

Last week wasn't horrible but I started to slip back into old habits. Part of it was from being off my routine and I lost my focus when I made cookies for my husbands students. But starting today I will focus on getting back into a routine, eating healthier and drinking my water. 7 # down, 15 to go!4 -
