Pat and I did 4.27 miles in 92 mins. Went went a route we used to go a while back. They built a lot of houses and a park...it looks so different.

Happy Mother's Day, to all you moms and daughters of moms.
My weight increased a pound a day the last week. Don't know why. Haven't splurged. Under calorie limits. Two diet cokes & dill pickles shouldn't cause that much water retention.
So maybe my body's just readjusting again and needs me to be patient...

I am going to go get a large clematis plant a friend is giving me tonight. He already dug it up for me. So that will be easy. Not sure where I am planning on putting it. It is an old plant and gets really tall. I hope it enjoys its new home.
Last night we watched a couple episodes of Highlander. I wish they would do away with all the sex scenes. Would be a better movie.

Now I know it’s the new med. I have a doctor’s appointment on Wednesday thank goodness. We have to talk. Yes my glucose numbers are better but weight gain is not a good thing physically or mentally for me. 🙁 I’ve been looking at intermittent fasting and I think I’m going to give it a try. I’ve got to switch it up!

The clematis looks like a tree root, LOL! I still have the irises you sent me. They made it with us when the old house was destroyed. I love them.
I used to know the clowns' names. They are so beautiful, almost like koi fish, and cute. But I've heard clowns are actually very fierce, is that true?

Paula it is true. They are very territorial. Jackson and Jillibean are their names. Here is a photo of a small garden we made for the clematis and a mini rose. Still have to pour a concrete barrier for it. Rocky is going to make a trellis for it. I found the original plastic tag in it. It is a Jackmani. Very tall dark purple variety

I got to go shopping with Sara this morning to get her a jacket and blouse for her 2nd interview on Tuesday. She actually had a better store discount than I did, so I didn't get to buy anything for her and she won't let me pay her back!!
This interview will be in person. Her first one was Zoom and she said it was really tough because you couldn't get a good read on anybody. Plus some of the people on the panel had their cameras off...rude. She should know by Friday if she got it. I'll keep you posted.

Wishing Sara all the luck. What fun. Some folks might not even know how to turn on their cameras. Or don't know how to zero in on just them and have messy homes! Muahahaha
Had to take my mom to the clinic today. She had a UTI. Got her meds. Took her on a long walk. Her on her scooter and me trying to keep up!We had a great time.

@PaulaKro she seemed to like it. There was no whining or moving around. Nada. Just set still and looked around. Now I am trying to decide if I need goggles for her. I think if she wants to go riding with me she would wear them, maybe. Have you recovered from your evening out dancing?

Yesterday was a cheat day. Good food; but my body needed more or it. So it was scary to weigh myself this morning. The scale reading was actually a pleasant surprise.
I'm craving something. Maybe carbs, but: would that kick my metabolism out of keto; or would just one meal be okay?
Whatever happens, if this month breaks even, I'm counting it as a win.

Paula - If you do one meal splurge, you should be OK. I go back into ketosis pretty easily after a carb splurge.
