Gonna be another scorched here today with ridiculous humidity. 🥵 You know it's bad when the windows of your house have condensation on them! 😱And we keep our AC at 76 so it's not like it's cold in here. 😕

    Stay cool everyone!

@brandi_84 I'm guessing I'm not or I would know the answer to this, what is it?

Hey TBBTers! I am back from Belize and boy do I ever need the July challenge after all those carbs (beans and rice, tortillas, beer, and rum, etc) When we landed last night, my fitbit app said I walked 64,000+ steps - lol! I did NOT walk home from Belize, I promise. It somehow adjusted itself now.

Since Fridays are my weigh-in days, I'll do my starting weigh-in this Friday (it will be ugly I'm sure) and be ready to rock it out with you for July. I hope you've all been well this past few weeks, and enjoying each other and our fantastic team!

I am with you 100%! We only have AC in our training room at work, but being inside was slightly more comfortable than being outside-still ridiculous, though! I do not enjoy the thickness of the air right now, and it definitely hit me when I walked out to my car at the end of my shift! I've been hanging out in our basement because it feels better than the AC in our room.

@DaffyGirl88 You had amazing steps yesterday! Great job getting it done even in the nasty weather!

@annabananamc I'm so happy to see you're back! You need to share some of your trip photos with us- I'm sure they are wonderful!

That's funny how trackers work sometimes! I have the Samsung health app which track my steps by being in my pocket, and I use my Garmin all the time. It's amazing how different they can be because Garmin tracks my arm movements, and often doesn't pick up on a lot of things(pushing/pulling cards, only moving a few steps here/there, etc). A little odd, but 64,000 is outrageous!

I so, so look forward to having you back with us! :)

    .
FODMAP is an acronym for fermentable oligosaccharides, disaccharides, monosaccharides and polyols.

Basically, you elminate foods that are indigestable or that can be difficult to absorb. Fermentables, simple sugars, sugar alcohols, and lactose and some other things. So -everything that I love.

Although I completed my personal target, and have averaged a pound a week this month, I am well aware that I'm only a half a pound down from my weight on 5th May, as I had started gaining again.

9.6lbs to get to my target weight.

Focus on the positive - that's some amazing hard work you've done for June! I'll be right with you for July and we can cheer each other on. I know my June has added some lbs, but we are in it for the long run....

    Week3: 145.2

    June Overall:1.8lbs gain = 1.26%⬆️

forgot to post my weight on Monday but I weigh myself every day so I had it figured.. Aaaand finally it went DOWN this week! This wasn’t a great “weight loss journey” month for me, but I did some real LIVING, seeing people I love, site seeing, trying different foods, going OUTSIDE and getting some much needed vitamin D😃
so no regrets, well except one..
I can never really get a handle on the act of balancing food and life. When life gets active, I have always put my good eating skills in the back seat, matter of fact, Overeater(that’s my alter ego) he always comes out when I’m not doing my same routine. I wish I knew how to stop that from happening because he’s the reason why I can never just maintain my weight when I leave MFP. Maybe I’ll figure this out one day..

    New goals for this week
    • Lowered my NetCals Goal to 1500
    • Still shooting for 30 NetCarbs or less
    • Taking better care to eat within an 8 hr/IF schedule
    • Starting today: 30second Daily plank challenge
Signed by Me: “A work in progress”
    Reminder: To Lose 1lbs = 10500NetCals/Wkly OR 1500/Daily
    NetCarb Goal: 30g
    To Maintain Weight =15400/Week OR
    2200/Daily
    💦Goal: 64oz/Daily; 448oz/Wkly
    👟Goal: 9000/Daily; 63000/Wkly
    👙Goal: 125lbs
    🥊Goal: 2 x Sessions/per Week

Deal! Hope we can figure this out before my next vacation which’s in 23 days. I’m thinking my major issue is alcohol related. Even though I only have like 6 low carb drinks(at the most) on a “drunken” vacation night I spend the rest of the evening trying to slow down my buzz with carbohydrates. Not sure I’ll ever want to test my theory since I like to drink on the rare occasion where I can let loose!

Up until vacation, I think I will stop drinking the one-or-two seltzers I have on a work day.

There! That should help! Let’s see if that jump starts some weight loss!

Can I play? I also have 23 days to lose a few pounds, going to Buffalo to see family for the first time in 2 years on the 23rd.

I guess I shouldn't complain because it IS down, but I've been hanging at 144.X for the last few months. Hoping July will be the month that I can shake that. See y'all in July!
