@red1185 stay safe at school. My sister teaches 3rd grade in a high transmission county in our state which forbids mask mandates and has laws in place that pretty much wonβt allow schools going online. Cases are increasing here but state only reports data once a week. Due to fevers, I had to go through covid protocals and take a covid test. Negative. Just food poisoning from baby carrots. Had a temp of 103F second half of yesterday but no temps today. Yippee! Appetite and fluid consumption not quite back yet but so much better.

@Jpedno I make homemade mcmuffins. Whole wheat eng muffin, 1 slice Canadian bacon, 1 egg. About 220 calories. I can add fruit or a slice of cheese. Good luck with the workouts and the cough. May one increase and one go away. You decide which. Lol
@lindamtuck2018 thank you again for reminding me about DQ. I just got back. Unfortunately I got a medium when I ordered a small and my budget wouldn't hold a medium. I ate the ice cream to the cone and stopped, which is very hard. I love their cones.

Steps - 2856. I will get some when I pick up daughter in 30 minutes, but I'll take this amount.
Calories - 1730. Changed some things around for the dip cone.
Exercise - I got dizzy when on my feet more than 5 minutes all day. Started taking a multivitamin to get some iron replenished. Maybe that will help.

Good morning. Just had did my Sunday Funday workout! I wasnβt at my best as I had a little too much to drink last night. Had an impromptu get together with a friend and well, wine happens. But I still got up got to the gym and gave it my best efforts.

I'm ok with this. I've been sick and haven't been getting in the steps or the workouts. But I went to the gym today so that's a success. This cough is still lingering though.
I dug out my copy of New Rules of Lifting For Women and am planning to start weight lifting with that plan that next week. In addition still to going to BodyPump class.
Tomorrow I will grocery shop and meal plan for the week. I've done pretty good with that for the last two weeks so I want to continue. But I am getting a little sick of oatmeal for breakfast ... Need to add some more variety.

A surefire way to get more steps is to NOT forget the watch on the charger (like I did this morning) π.
Other than that, I have been intentionally parking at the far end of where I'm heading and going out for a few minutes at lunch.
Leaving it on the charger happens or in my case I forgot to charge it and it died in middle of the day. I like those strategies for increasing your steps.Hi everybody. What a whirlwind of a week. We started school back in-person this past Monday. It wasnβt too bad for the most of the week. Thursday was an absolutely atrocious and scarring day, but Iβm trying my hardest to move past it because in the end everything turned out fairly ok.

I see a couple of positives. One you have lost over 20 pounds and two you did well this week. Keep aiming to meet those goals and the scales will move in the right direction.2 -

Busy day yesterday so lots of steps. I think I might remove sleep from my goals as I am doing everything I can to achieve good sleep and I feel like it is not a smart goal anymore. I am going for a swim and workout in a half an hour. I am going for a short walk with a friend after my swim. Going to visit my son for his birthday and the grandkids are coming over later. A busy day!
Itβs two days until we are leaving for the cottage. I am thinking a lot how I will handle food, logging, etc. I know the biggest thing is I need to be mindful of my serving sizes and snack food. Itβs only 4 days so a blip in the big picture.

We had an absolute blast at the fair yesterday! The kids loved the midway and the rides. We got to walk through buildings and see animals, watch a wild encounters show and a bike trick show, and play bingo! Food went great for myself. We were so busy the whole time, coupled with the fact that I didn't want anything from the stand where we fed the kids lunch, it was after 4pm the first time I checked the time and I still hadn't broken my fast haha. The crazy thing was, I didn't even feel hungry at that point. I decided to get a fresh squeezed lemonade, I ended up eating 4 of my daughters french fries later, and then had snacks from the snack bag in the car on the way home, and also once we got home. I don't even regret not getting anything at the fair, my husband tried enough stuff for both of us haha. I guess I was more focused on the fun than the food!4 -

Good afternoon from a busy Sunday afternoon. As per usual, weekends are so busy, I feel bad I don't get around here to often. But it doesn't mean I haven't been working. π¬
Yesterday was my Son's birthday (25th), and we all had a good time, and I didn't even over eat! Thank goodness for Keto Cheese cake! π
I woke up at 3:00am Saturday morning with gout starting to flare up a little in my right foot, but thankfully an ice pack, anti-inflams, and a Tensor Bandage was enough to turn the tide by this morning. It appears I may need to up my allopurinol to the highest dose, which I sort of knew already as per blood tests. No rush, I've pushed thing a little harder in general this week or 2, and I could be wrong but it looks like I'm on track for a good showing on the scale tomorrow. I'm pretty sure high Calorie burns and weight loss also push my uric acid levels up leading to gout. Anyway, on with the story. π
Both Lynn and I had a fantastic sleep last night. It was refreshingly cool outside, and I guess it was just what the doctor ordered. I nailed 8.5 hours sleep with no drugs in site and a sleep score of 88. HELL YEAH! π₯³
And being a fast Sunday (around our 30th consecutive) we just got up and headed to the Lake for a Walk on the board walk... And decided to spice it up by taking the long way around back to the car. Which involved many more hills to climb and with it a decent burn. π₯π₯
Also had an amazing visit with my best friend and his Wife... Man I love those people. This guy will be my best man in a years time, and I really hate that I haven't got to see them much this last few years. π€
And that's about it... Weigh in tomorrow morning. What will the numbers be? π€π

Well, I let my weigh-in results and issues with my 14 year old drag me down a little yesterday. I gave in and ate a pack of swiss cake rolls which put me a little over my calories. Overall it wasn't a bad day but it wasn't a good day either. So, I am resetting the GDS to zero. I am having a pretty good day so far today and I am confident that I will finish strong!

@Beautyofdreams - I am glad that you are feeling a little better. I am in a state that has laws forbidding mask mandates in schools too. My daughter is not yet old enough to get vaccinated. My son is in high school and is vaccinated. After one week of school, I got a letter saying that my son had "close contact" with somebody at school. It said that they don't require quarantine for known close contact exposure ... because the can't. It's against the law. So, positive and exposed kids are in school, unmasked. Its ridiculous. I glad you are feeling well and hope your sister stays safe. As long as she is vaccinated and wears a mask she should be good. In my hospital, 95% of the very sick (and there is a lot of COVID at my hospital) is unvaccinated. Are you eligible for the booster since you are a transplant recipient?
