Thought I’d share some positive news after my outpouring of emotion the other day. Spoke to my doctor about my cardiac CT scan results and I “have a healthier heart than 93% of people my age.” Terrific news. Doesn’t explain the chest pain and heart pounding, but she thinks that could be attributed to me dealing with the stresses in my life. Happy to know I’m on the right path health-wise.
OH I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOUR NEWS @Waifer003 !!!!!!
When I read your story, something told me the same thing!! I have no doubt that your life changes to lose weight, exercise more and take care of yourself contribute to that mightily!! Thank you so much for sharing your terrific news...I bet you and your family had more than a few hugs after your conversation with your doctor! **BIG HUGS** from your second family

@Waifer003 great news !! At least that's one less thing to worry about.1

Lost my last message & then had to leave for dental appts!
@CasandraW sending hugs 🤗 & prayers 🙏. It' really tough coping with 2 ill parents. Similar but slightly different issues with my Pops & Hub's Dad several years ago. Renovations too- it's a lot to contend with. Hopefully that will be great when finished.called in2 -

Wednesday, August 11
- Exercise: 4,5 km walk
- Net calories: Unsure, probably too many
- Vitamins: yes
Had a mostly good day. My dad came over and we went to a National Park nearby for a walk, a new spot. There was a little parking area of the main road, which was basically a bit of dirt road. We have had a lot of rain recently, so it was a massive mud fiesta. As we pulled up, we actually saw a car stuck in the mud. Thankfully we could also access the parking area a little further down, where it was paved. Of course I told my dad we had to help the person and push the car out. It was a young woman on her own and she was very grateful. Tires stuck in mud create a lovely mud shower and I was on the bad side, so I didn't come away clean. It was quite the work out as well, but we got her car out! The temperate was pretty nice, so being covered in wet mud wasn't really an issue.
The walk was still enjoyable and we did a good deed, so I call that a success. After we went home and I had a change of clothes, we went to my favourite eating place in my town, which has an amazing vegan avocadoburger. Nom nom nom. I was full basically the whole day from that, so I doubt I had good net calories. We do this maybe 6 times a year though, so it's not a big deal. I have a little bit of heartburn, with the right food again tomorrow that should hopefully be gone fast.6 -
Not a good day- pain is still really severe. It hurts to talk & to eat/drink. So my steps will be rubbish today & tomorrow. I'm supposed to be in school for GCSE results then going to gym- cancelled both. I think a bit of self-care needed. The upside is I can't eat much at all.5

Glad I can at last walk again, still only wear sandals but it's a start.
Would like to share a non scale victory I had yesterday to encourage you all on your fitness journey. So I had to visit the podiatrist to have my dressing on my foot changed. She had to ask me some health questions,eg was I on any medication,do I smoke, drink excess alcohol to which I said no.Then she said " Well looking at you, your B.M.I looks spot on ! " I said thank you & said it wasn't last year,I've lost weight. She said it was unusual for her that I was healthy.I guess most of her clients are elderly.Which I suppose I am in that group, but I hopped outta there with a big smile on my face 😄

I hope I don’t offend with my quote, not everyone is a fan. This is my sentiment for the day

@izzyred9400 well done on the BMI praise.
@bradkcrew happy cycling
@CasandraW whatever ppl think of Maggie- she did have amazing quotes! I haven't heard that one, but it's so true- you put in the effort & reap what you deserve.
I'm struggling to eat today. 😫 I managed an iced latte out ( Hubbie took us - me, Mum, eldest- after Mum's midweek church service before he went to work). Now I've had tomato 🍅 soup with a straw. I suppose it'll make up for my inability to get so many steps in with feeling yuk. Had to cancel work (Results day) & PT at gym.3 -

- Exercise: gym
- Net calories: 1334
- Vitamins: yes
After a very crappy night with lots of mosquitoes and seeing every hour on the clock, I had a pretty nice gym workout. New training schedule coming on Monday! I always need a nap on gymdays, and today was even worse because of the bad sleep, so I had a long nap during the day. Good calories, although less snacking to make up the calories would be better, so I will focus on that more. Gave my cat a little haircut around his head. He was very wide in the face with all his hair, and now he is all cute and round again. I was feeling a little depressed later in the day, without an obvious reason why. When I was walking Tinus (my cat), we ran into someone outside and I had a nice chat with her. That helped, so feeling a bit better now.5 -
Could you please just roll-over my weight from last week? I have a LONG day tomorrow out on the Delaware River kayaking, and we leave at, like, 6:30A and not home until late. I'll just catch up the following week. Thank you!2

Thank you, Jessica! I'll take pictures a-plenty! I've really been looking forward to this day (even though the heat index is supposed to be 115+ degrees!)
My exchange this morning with my spousal unit (who is NOT an outdoorsy guy):
Me: It's gonna be a hot one tomorrow, but I guess the river is going to be the best place to be!
Spousal Unit: Ummm, it's gonna be like a sauna, with the river just evaporating underneath you. You're going to look like a poached chicken, floating down the river on a blue kayak. Just sayin'.

@CycleMomOf3 have a great time!!! Your conversation with your spouse reminds me of my husband and I. Hope it was all in good fun, ours always is1

I had a pretty quiet day, I go to my moms with my dog everyday to keep the puppy out of the contractors way. Had a 45 min drive each way in the middle of the day to pick my oldest up from my mother in laws so she can make it to work tonight.
Tried out a Thai restaurant for dinner and had a quick swim in the pool.
It’s been odd not having any kids home.
My kids are 9,15,17. The little one is at my mother in law’s, the middle doesn’t live at home right now and the oldest is at work.1 -
