Good Evrning My Friends,
As you saw I posted early this morning and now this is my second time in one day which doesn’t happen too often. Appreciate all your kindness and your many prayers. The reason I posted early this morning is I had my Pastor coming today to visit with me. He brought communion for us to break bread together and share the communion cup. He brings a special wafer that is soft so it basically melts in my mouth and he brings a small straw for me to drink from the cup. I am so thankful I can partake in spite of my issues with mouth and jaw. God is so good and always makes a way!
In my earlier post I shared with you Barb how thankful I was that Harry your son was being seen by a Neurosurgeon so quickly this week on Thursday, and I rejoice that Doctor’s don’t think it’s cancer which I am so thankful! I left a message on the Prayer thread also. You were saying you have had Mr Lincoln Roses, I have never heard of those Roses before. Would you be able to take a picture and post here for us to see? Thank you Barb. I haven’t had any Spring flowers bloom yet but this afternoon I looked out at my garden and saw my Hosta growing quite tall, beautiful green stems sprouting up. First time I’ve had it growing this early in April. Nice surprise. My evergreen trees look so lush and healthy. Guess it’s all the rain my Hosta and Trees are loving it.
Susan & Linda I replied and shared in the posts you shared earlier so will let you read the posts I shared early this morning. Started my posting before 6:00am this morning. Hope you are enjoying the Bible Reading and Commentary Easter Posts I have shared.
Tomorrow I have my friend coming in to visit from out of town. It should be a nice visit.
Good Night all, be back tomorrow! God Bless you! 😴🙏🤗

I am getting things checked off my to-do list for the conference and the young professionals who will be at our house this weekend. Some things need to be done at the last minute so tomorrow is my goal to get them done. I started the new medication today and so far I have not had any side effects but I will watch closely for the first week. Glenn says he thinks the drug is about 10 years old so there has been time to test it and see if it does work. Since it only works on the food I eat, it will be interesting to see how much my body naturally produces by itself which is the part I can not control. I try to eat what is good for liver health and decreasing cholesterol already. I do need to cut down on the red meat, add avocado and green tea to my diet. I am supposed to include fatty fish but I would need to gradually add that to get used to the taste. I do take Fish oil supplements so I am hoping that that will take the place of the fish in my diet.
Susan - I am sorry that Colin was having pain in his operative knee. Where is his arthritis? I was thinking that with an artificial joint, there should be no arthritis in the joint or at least there are no nerves in the joint that would register pain. I hope you and he get better sleep when you go to bed today or tomorrow depending on the time zone. I am glad that you are able to support him with prayers and reassurances while you waited for him to go to sleep after taking pain medication. Thank-you also for remembering us in prayer.
Barb - praying for Harry 3's appointment tomorrow (Thursday) with the neurologist. It is amazing that a small mass can effect the brain so much but there is not much room inside the skull for the mass to go except to press on the brain. I am glad that there are specialists that can use technology to the extent that they can to do minute surgery. Our prayers are for the whole family.
Judith - Tomorrow (Thursday) you have another appointment with the surgeon who will do his job but you will have to deal with his work for more than just the one day. You have such a positive attitude about this whole journey. I pray that you faith will remain strong during and after the appointment. If it were me, I would have a lot of mixed emotions every Thursday I would go to see the surgeon.
I'm off to bed to get up early to get started on last minute things.

Linda, I wondered the same thing about Colin's replacement joint not being able to get arthritis. His Physio asked the same question today. It doesn't make sense. The GP suggested it. 🙄 Colin will ask for an X-ray to see if everything is mechanically sound with the joint. Glad the drug you are taking is well researched.
Judith, Mr Lincoln is a deep red scented rose. It beautiful. I used to have one but not any more. There's no room for a rose bush now. I think we may have posted at a similar time so missed each other.
Barb, thank you for praying. I forgot to mention that Colin has scoliosis too. I am sorry to hear about your Mom's pain. I know how much Colin suffers and wouldn't wish it on anyone. That is an answer to prayer that Harry sees a neurosurgeon soon.

Susan. & Judith You are right about the Mr Lincoln. I raise hybrid roses so all of my roses smell good. If my Mr Lincoln comes back I’ll take a picture of it. Right now it’s not looking good. I only had 2 roses and it is not that big.
My peace or Chicago peace, Tropicana, or double delight, etc. I can show you when they bloom.Susan. Prayers for you and Colin. Sounds like Colin & my mom are both in a lot of pain. She uses the heating pad a lot. Prayers for him.
Linda. I take. 2 fish oils a day & have for years & still have a fatty liver. Though Harry says that is the new normal. I do eat fish and increased it. 3 or 4 meals a week.
I eat the avocados too. Prayers.
So glad the new meds seem to be working. Prayers it continues to work for you.
Judith. prayers for you and seeing drs tomorrow. Plus safe travels. I hope the pain won’t be bc. Praying.Well tomorrow Harry, hubby, will go with Harry 3 to Dr as Annabella has her 4 month appointment. Harry 3 thinks he might have surgery next week & they didn’t want to have to reschedule the appointment for Annabella next week.
Tim is going to work a weekend to be able to, help Jean till 4/23. So past Easter.
i will, include my lilac bush plus our neighbors. The smell and flowers are just so, pretty.
My bleeding hearts are blooming too.Spring is just so pretty.

We will be leaving tomorrow at noon so I do not know how much I will be able to post for the next few days. The planners usually keep us pretty busy with classes and meetings. We do not have a direct flight but have two shorter flights both about 2 hours.
Today we went to see the second part of the movie "The Chosen" about the Passover and the betrayal by Judas. It was very emotionally moving to see it portrayed on the big screen. Of course, we know that the scenes are made up by humans but there is a lot of scripture in the movie also. The Third part for the crucifixion will be next week just before Easter.
Barb - Our lilacs have not started blooming yet. I love the smell of them so I hope I can see them this year. It seems for the past few years, we have been gone for the week that they are in full bloom - either at the Elders conference or back in Westminster for Easter. I grew up with purple and white lilacs bushes alternating colors along our long lane. We also had dogwood trees that would bloom at Easter. I loved the legend that went along with the dogwood flower. Praying for Harry 3's appointment and for Anabella's 4 month appointment go well. I am glad that Cody is sleeping longer during the night to give Jean some chance for more rest. The first few months I remember being very sleep deprived but I loved have my sweet babies to love and protect.
Judith - I am so glad that your pastor was able to come to you and provide communion for you. That is so special that he was able to find bread that melts and have a small straw for you for the cup.
Susan - I hope Colin is able to have some relief of pain. It would be interesting to see an x-ray of his knee to see the cause of his severe pain. Maybe it is muscle in origin. Does heat or massage help?

Good morning. We're going out for breakfast with a couple of good friends this morning so this will be short. Colin has a lot of rib pain today. I doubt he will want to sit and chat for long. It will be nice to see our friends, however briefly.
Linda, Colin won't let me massage his knee and we haven't tried heat, only cold. Safe travels. I hope you enjoy your time away though it sounds like you will surely be busy.
Judith, thinking of you as you have we more appointments and treatments. You are in my prayers.
Barb, I have memories of lilac bushes and Easter when I lived in Spokane WA. Lilac bushes were planted all along one side of our house. They were good when we played hide and seek! I also hope Annabella's check up goes well and Harry's does too.

Good eve here.
Annabella is growing nicely. I think,Hahnsaidd she’s in 50% weight. So good. Harry 3 will have surgery. Thursday. He needs it right away as could have a stroke. The neurosurgeon doesn’t give any positives not negative but what can happen, so, he could die on table be paralyzed etc. pray for best or God remove it before the surgery or successful surgery & recovery. All, is unknown. He will be in hospital for at least a week. They have steps to get in house & to get in living quarters. It is not a rancher, a split level. house. All in God’s control. . I’ve been crying to, God as Hong Hong has a green card and those girls need their dad. Pray I can be strong. It’s hard.
linda. Prayers a you travel.Prayers for Colin
Prayers for Judith seeing drs
My post kept closing so,I better close.

We made it safely to San Diego this afternoon. We are now on Pacific time but my body still thinks it is an hour later than the clock says. It will be nice in the morning when my clock will say I have an extra hour of sleep.
Barb - yes brain surgery does have the possibility of many negative outcomes with complications but the doctor wants him to be prepared for anything. I pray for the best outcomes that the mass is gone and he is unharmed physically and mentally.
Susan - You said that it is hard for Colin to tolerate visiting. I hope you were able to enjoy the conversation without overwhelming Colin's pain limitations.
Judith - praying for your appointment today and that you can rest tonight.

Pls pray after the mass gone, that the drainage as a shunt out in will drain & he won’t need to wears shunt rest of his life.
Pray all can get rest they all need
Will put in prayer requests
Glad Linda in San Diego. Prayers adjust to pacific time ok. Same time as Judith.1 -
Barb, I'm praying for your family at this very difficult time. Harry and his family will be facing a lot as will you. Prayers 🙏 and hugs coming your way.
Linda, glad you had safe travels and are resting up. Adjusting to new time zones takes awhile! Colin enjoyed going out yesterday. The conversation distracted him and he could sit for some time, long enough to eat and visit. We left when he couldn't sit any more. He came home and spent a lot of the rest of the day lying down and just getting up for short periods. His back and ribs get so sore now. He loves the friends we saw so was very motivated to go out.
Judith, thinking of you after your appointments and treatments. I hope you are feeling OK and are resting.🙏

Susan. Thank you for the prayers. We got lots of people praying it be nice of God would take the mass away, which I know God can do.
Prayers for Colin sorry you had to, leave early but it’s wise you did, rest is always good! Our daughter, Elisabeth, 3 child, first daughter, lives near Wichita. She told us that Jeremiah her hubby has a coworker who had bad knees & though that the dizziness was due to,his bad knees. Sounds, like he had the same thing Harry3 has & had surgery did ok & 2 weeks later he was mowing his yard. Had to wait a month to go back to,work. Not sure mowing was wise. He probably closer to 50 so about the same age.
Pray ape all can sleep as potty breaks hard to get back to,sleep. At craft gathering told, me, thats when you pray. Love it!,
Linda. Hope you adjusting to time zone. I just made swap fish air fry. I find cooking my fish with the air fry it’s so easy and the fish is quite delish I use olive, oil & seasonings.
hope you are enjoying your time in CA.Judith praying for you hope you are sleeping & pain not to bad.
Have a good weekend all. Many prayers.

Lots of good classes and a lot to think about. The weather is beautiful and we have places to walk to go to meals. So far I am getting my steps in. We are evidently close to an airport because we hear jets landing and taking off frequently. It has taken a while to get used to it during the night.
Susan - we were watching a TV show on the history channel about opal mining in Australia. I don't know where it was because we started watching after it had started but it was very interesting. The colors in the opals were gorgeous.
Barb - I am glad you were encouraged by Jeremiah's co-workers successful surgery. The unknown can be scary but we are all holding you up in prayer as you get closer to the surgical date. The time change will not last long since we will fly back to Colorado on Sunday. I am getting up the same time I would to the old time even though the clock says it is different.

Barb, I am praying for Wisdom for the Surgeon that the hands of Surgeon will be guided as he does the surgery and that the Mass will be completely removed with no damage to Harry’s Brain. Praying for Healing for Harry and for God’s Peace over Harry and over you and the whole family in Jesus Name, I pray, Amen! ✝️🙏♥️ So glad Jeremiah’s co-workers was able to bring comfort and encouragement to you!
Susan, you were going out for Breakfast with friends, you said you weren’t sure how long Colin could manage a visit with all the pain he was having. I am so sorry he is in so much pain. I will be praying for Colin. Were you both able to visit over breakfast with your friends? Did Colin go or did he need to stay at home? Thank you for your prayers.
Linda, so glad you arrived in San Diego and had good trip. You said you are on Pacific Time Zone, I am too so will check time you have logged on here and try to be on same time. That would be great. So glad you are enjoying the classes. Great you have good weather and can walk to the places you are having your meals. Sorry you are so close to the airport. Hope you can get some sleep with hearing the airplanes ✈️ taking off and landing. That could be noisy. Will be praying for you both.
Thank you all for your kindness and many prayers. It was difficult as it took me all today to recover. I also had Blood Work and trusting God that all the results are good! I am back to Surgeon in 2 weeks, April 4th I saw my Oncologist at Cancer Clinic & was put on new Treatment for the next 6 weeks. May 1st I am back to Cancer Clinic to see my Neurologist for a follow up and May 4th I am back to Cancer Clinic to see my Derma-Oncologist for review of treatment and see how I responded to the new treatment schedule! Would appreciate prayers for this treatment as it’s toxic to the Liver Enzymes the Liver produces. Trusting this last Blood work shows no changes to the Liver. God is Good!
see you all tomorrow! 🙏🤗0
