I just lost a big post I had nearly finished. Why does MFP crash like that? Sigh. It's not the end of the world but it is irritating that it happens so often. No other program I use online does that.
Judith, I am sorry you couldn't sleep but guess it was the thought of having to go out in the bad weather that was concerning you. I'm so sorry you have to go to Dr appointments today. Please take care in the rain and icy conditions. So far our rain has been gentle. Heavier rains are happening to the west and south of us. Yes, my wrist is healing now. There's no need for bandages now.
Linda, you and Glenn are such sweet hosts. That poor young man who broke his pelvis. It must have been a bad accident. I'm glad you and Glenn don't need hearing aids yet. Colin and I both have them now. Colin is completely deaf in his right ear. He had a serious accident in his 20s that robbed him of hearing in that ear. His right aid acts as a relay to his left aid so he can 'hear' from both directions. Isn't that clever? I really notice it when he chooses to have a break from his hearing aids and now he notices it in me. Lol!
Barb, sorry you have had so many serious health issues. I am no Dr but am wondering if you have digestive issues and if probiotics and chelated mineral supplements would help with the mouth sores? Just a thought. It could even be stress so a Vit B supplement could make a difference? I'm wondering if a natural therapist could help you properly? Glad your project with the hood is almost done. Yes, my hearing aid was adjusted and I don't have to go back for another appointment for a year. There's no word about Colin's appointments.
I'm going to stop here in case I lose this post again. May the Lord bless and keep you all.

Well I just lost my post. Oh so much fun with MFP
Susan. So glad that you both have hearing aids. I laughed when I read how you can tell when one of you doesn’t have their hearing aides in.
Any idea when Colin will see the Dr about his heart. Praying.
prayers for your wrist & he rain to stay gentle. 🙏🏻I do take a probiotic & centrum silver for women every day. I really think my sores are from tomatoes, which happened before but not as bad. So no more tomato’s, which is in a lot of foods plus cutting out citrus foods. I couldn’t even eat my Lemon Oreos. I am hoping this is only for 2 weeks or so.
I took a break on the hood last night so I hope to work on it tonight and then I have the 2 sleeves to knit & get buttons and sew them on. Stress is also did not help with mouth sores. So I hope to, get the jacket done in 2-3 weeks.Linda. So good that you are able to help the young man who, broke his pelvis. That has to be painful. Ouch!
Hooe you had a good dayJudith I hope you had no problem getting to, where your appointment is tomorrow. Praying for Drs in wisdom in treating you.
Has the rain stopped? Prayers for no freezing on the streets. Please be careful.Tomorrow our church is having a learning session so I might not be on the iPad, I signed up for it with missions as I’ve been asked to serve on the missions committee.
this meeting is 2.5 hours so most of the eve.Hooe all are having a good day. Stay well.

Good Evening Everyone,
I was up during the night watches and posted early Wednesday morning on Chat Cafe, but all my other Threads were posted this afternoon around 2:00-2:30pm.
My Appointment wasn’t today not sure why everyone thought it was? But it’s ok as I appreciate your prayers & concerns for me, you all are so kind.
I see my Surgeon Thursday morning. It’s stormy out there and I would really appreciate your prayers. The news report said there could be pooling of water on the roads and visibility would be poor. Thank you all for your kindness and all your prayers. I will be back tomorrow evening and hopefully will have some updates for you.
My prayers are with you all!
Good Night 😴 and God Bless. 🙏🤗♥️0 -
Today I worked on our income tax to itemize our business and travel expenses. I did not realize I needed to do that so we are trying to recreate what happened all of the year of 2024. It is all true to the best of our knowledge since we have records in our bank statements and in receipts but it is hard to go through all that paperwork. I hope it helps us not have to pay more taxes with this work. I spent the evening with a friend who does a lot of sewing while Glenn was at midweek. I took my piano runner over there to get some advice from her and she was showing me a quilt kit she had that provides all the material and instructions to make a small quilt. It will be very pretty but I do not like just written instructions. I like to have a pattern that I can trace when I am sewing.
Judith - You are up really late this morning. I thought I was the only one that did that. Actually it is just 11:30pm right now for me but I need to get to bed pretty soon. I have been getting up early with my guests and now that they are gone I was hoping that I would be able to at least keep getting up a little earlier in the mornings but this morning my alarm went off it seemed like it was one second later when I opened my eyes and I had fallen asleep again and slept for another hour. Maybe I need to put my alarm clock farther away so I have to get up to turn it off so I do not go back to sleep. I am praying for your safety as you go to the hospital for treatment on Thursday. If it does turn cold, the roads may be slippery.
Susan - I see on the weather thread that it is raining but not as bad as with the cyclone. I pray it stays that way rather than having a season's worth of rain in just a week. That would be a lot of rain! With our desert weather, a season's worth of rain would be welcome here since it is not very much at all. I am so glad for irrigation that keeps our lawns green and our flowers and vegetables growing. They just started filling the irrigation ditches this week and the water is pretty muddy. Once the water reaches the top of the ditches and there is not a lot of movement it will clear up and be better to use. The muddy water clogs up our water pump and we have to clean it weekly. We will not start using it for a while yet. Nothing is ready to grow with the colder weather. I do need to go on the patio and trim back the old leaves and stems of the flowers in the pots. I like to leave the stems with the seed pods on them so they will re-seed the pot and I do not have to buy a lot of flowers to put in them.
Barb - I hope there was not major damage to your sister's basement. Too much rain and in my experience, when water gets in a basement mold can start growing. That may not be true in BC but it sure was when I lived in Ohio. our basement was dug out of the ground with rocks for walls. It was always damp and cold in there and mold would grow easily. Some of the mold was nice white fluffy looking but even it it was pretty my mom did not like it in her basement. I do not blame her for that.

Good morning and Susan whatever it is guess evening already for you.
I have not heard any moe on my sister's basement. So I pray no news is good.
Praying for you Judith as you see Drs.
I will be going to a evenning ministry teaching skill workship tonignt. It will last till 8:45 so a nlong night. It starts at 6:15 so it's long. Hope I learn. I've been asked to help with the misisiions committee. At my church they do not have select missionaries, which I am use to, so i hope to learn.I got some solar mole repllents that make noise, I put 2 in the ground yesterday and put together a solar spinner that my son gave me for my 70 bday. I wanted to wait till spring to put it together and out. It still had some light this morning in the solar lighted globe so that was nice!
Have a good day/eve all. Mnay prayers.0 -
It's audibly raining here now and they are predicting we will get up to 50mm (2") today. It has been raining all week out west and whole towns are under water. 🥺 They aren't reporting much about it on the news. Instead the headlines are about the prime minister calling an election. 😠
1 -
It was such a beautiful day today I had the windows open to let the fresh air inside. We have evergreen bushes in front of the house and the breeze brought in the fresh smell of the bushes. It was a high of 79F (26.1C) so I also worked in the flower pots on the patio pulling out the old stems and giving them a good refreshing drink of fertilizer. I hope it helps my peony to bloom this year. Last year it was just a lot of leaves. Glenn also worked outside and dug up a rosebush that has not been blooming for several years. I hope to get a miniature rose to fill in that spot. I have a yellow and a pink miniature rose bush already in that area so I will ask for another rose bush for my birthday of a different color to brighten up the spot. We also finally got all the paperwork for the taxes done so I will take it to the tax office when I go for my ultrasound of my liver. I asked for prayers for that in the prayer request thread.
Judith - I prayed you would have less pain from this appointment today. Rest well - that seems to help the most in times past. How were the roads today?
Barb - I hope you learned a lot from the evening ministry teaching today. I think it is good to get involved in this type of outreach. You have your own ministry with Bua also.
Susan - I pray that you will not get too much damage from the rain you have been getting. That is pretty scary to hear "whole towns are under water". You said that the prime minister called an election. I read that it is scheduled for the first part of May. That does not give much time for campaigns to get votes. The States start a long time before the election and it usually consists of cutting each other down until by election time, we are so tired of hearing about who to vote for. Just because they make promises does not mean that they will keep these promises either.
Pleasant dreams to us in the Northern Hemisphere and Good morning to Susan down under!

evening Hello All
So sorry I can’t be on here tonight but I will be back tomorrow, I had my appointment and the procedures have made my face and mouth very sore.

Love you all ♥️🙏🤗

Have been to the kidney clinic for my 3 month checkup -told the doctor he was talking nasty as he started talking about me going on diaylsis. My kidney number this month is 9 (should be 60) but he said that the overall blood work shows that the meds are starting not to work as good as they had hoped.
So rather than seeing them every 3 month I see them in 2 months - and rather than blood work once a month need to have it down 2x each month.
I have had to increase the baking soda from 2 teaspoons to 4 teaspoons a day - first 2 days were difficult as the first one made me feel sick. But have changed up my food (no more oranges for me) and drink the glass of baking soda, wait 5 minutes then eat - and so far so good.
He also wanted to increase my blood pressure meds as it was high when I was in the office - and now am having to record it 2x each day - and yesterday it was all normal - so not sure what is going to happen with the increase of this medication
Also wanted me to start a water pill - tried it about 6 months ago but if I remember correctly I had some reaction (not going pee) but he said to give it a try and if that happens call them right away or come up to the emergency. I didn't take one this morning as I wanted to make sure the baking soda would not make me sick. So will try the water pill tomorrow - a bit weary on trying it but doc is concerned with all the water retention I have. Am praying that with getting more water in that the water retention will decrease without meds. He said that when it is time for diaylsis, that the diaylsis will take care of that - but just don't like the idea of being hooked up to a machine 3 days a week for 4 hours.
The Lord is in control and should I need to have it He will help me get through it - so far he has blessed me with not needing it and just change of eating habits. So I am once again on a serious program - no soda pop, no salt, no flour, no sugar= the weight should come off and the kidneys should enjoy the better care I give to them.
Thanks for listening- it is a stressful time right now

Marilyn, that's a lot. I am so sorry you have to ho through all this. I'm glad you have inner strength and are taking control of what you can do something about. The Lord bless and keep you.
Linda. I am praying about your liver results too. Yes, our politicians seem to behave the same way. There has been a lot of mud slinging leading up to the calling of the election. They have all been in campaign mode for months already. It just ramps up even more once the election date is set.
Judith, you are also undergoing so much. I'm praying for you, dear friend.
Barb, hoping you are feeling better with cutting out the foods that make your mouth sore. Yes, missions happen right where we are! Glad you are getting some training iabout missions.
My city of Brisbane is now flooding. We're still safe but many are not. The towns out west are still flooding and being evacuated. Stock is drowning, crops are ruined. Australia is a pretty flat country so everything turns into a flood plain, an inland sea. We're personally safe on high enough ground but many are not.
1 -
Marilyn. God to hear from you. Praying for your kidney, new diet drinking baking soda, no soda. Prayers concerning your weight and all you have to go through. Wisdom for drs. I pray your numbers go higher too. Prayers you can sleep & rest in God’s arms I one easier said then done. Sing songs when you wake up maybe? 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Susan. Prayers as my cell was telling me that Australia was in a rain alert. So I thought of you & prayed. I will continue but glad to, hear from you. Prayers for the ones whose homes and businesses may be flooding.
prayerds for Colin & his heart. Any new yet on that?Linda. Praying for you and what all happened today with your liver. Wisdom for drs. Pray you can sleep too. Let us know when you know.
The workshop was interesting. Just taking about what works ideas we have and trying to get more people involved in missions. It was a good 2 hour discussion.
I only need to take the medicine for my cold sores once a day & not 2. I think that is working better. I had a new one, which I’m not sure why as no tomatoes now for 2 days, is now almost gone. So that is good. I hope no new sores tomorrow. My toe baby toe is getting better it I still is swollen but less & not red.
Busy day tomorrow morning. I will be helping with the setting the tables as there is a viewing & funeral and our SS class is sponsoring a meal for the family. I already made a Topical, dump cake for them.Have a great weekend. Stay safe.
We will be in the 70’s Saturday & 50’s for Sunday. What a change. 70 in March is too early.1 -
My ultrasound went great. The tech who did the ultrasound said that she did not see anything abnormal but the doctor will have to determine what to do next. I should be hearing next week since the weekend the doctor probably does not work. Until that time, I will trust that a treatment if needed will be set up and the liver enzymes will be lower with the next blood draw. My favorite fabric store is closing all their stores so they are having huge sale to get rid of everything. I went today and things are 40-50% off but there are also a lot of things already purchased. There were a lot of empty shelves. They had patterns but there was not catalogue to see what patterns are still available. I went to Walmart where they do have a pattern catalogue and got some numbers off that one for some blouses and now will go back to JoAnn's store and see if they have these patterns. Mostly what was left was vintage or costumes but I might find something now that I have the numbers.
Marilyn - I am sorry the doctor did not have good news for you and is talking about dialysis. It is good that he is doing blood work more often to keep track of how things are doing. I will pray that your body responds and dialysis will be further along the way then the doctor seems to think and that your will have less stress in your body. What is the purpose of drinking baking soda? My Dad used to do that for heartburn. He would take a mouthful of dry baking soda they drink a glass of water to get it down. He thought it did not taste as bad taking it all at one time.
Susan - praying for the flooding you are having. It is so sad to hear of the stock dying and the crops being destroyed. If we have floods we have mountains to stop the water so it may not go as far distance wise as yours do but they are deeper since they are stopped by the mountains.
Barb - praying for your mouth sores to be completely gone and your baby toe to heal quickly. Sounds like you have a busy day with doing setting the tables for the meal for the funeral. I am sure the families are very grateful for your help and support.
Judith - praying for your mouth pain and soreness and rest for your whole body.
1 -
Marilyn, good to see you here but I am so sorry to read all you are going through with your Kidney’s and the Doctor talking about dialysis. You are going through so much. You are so strong in the Lord with trusting Him for healing. I am praying continuously that the fluid retention will decrease and your BP will come down to normal levels and praying your numbers will increase heading towards the normal level of 60. Sending you my Love and Prayers and Hugs!
Susan, I am so sorry for all the flooding in so many places, my heart goes out to the people, especially with loosing livestock and crops and their homes and land flooded, that’s so hard. I am thankful you are alright. My prayers continue for you and Colin for your safety. Sending you my Love ♥️ Prayers🙏 and Hugs 🤗
Barb, I am so sorry you are dealing with those painful mouth sores. Praying that the mouth sores will heal & be gone and your Toe to heal completely in Jesus Name! Praying the Lord to strengthen you as you set tables and prepare the Food and the Dump Cake you are providing for the Meal for the people after the Funeral Service. The Families will be blessed by your kindness.
Linda, I am so thankful hearing this news that the technician said to you she didn’t see anything abnormal. This is good news! I pray the Blood work that is done next will show the Liver Enzymes will be lower than they were previously. Sorry your Fabric store you really like is closing. There were having great sale prices , hope you could find some nice colors and patterns to make the things you are hoping for.
Thank you all for your prayers and your kind comments. The procedures I had on Thursday made my face raw and painful. I had a bleed out on Wednesday night and I bled after the procedures on Thursday. I have had bleeding on Friday. Hope Saturday will be better. My surgeon said to keep up with the treatment as they hope that it will kill the cells from forming. I am back to the Surgeon in 2 weeks and I see my Oncologist next Friday. Nothing more to say other than the face is very painful and it’s hard getting my calories in. But good news I didn’t loose any ounces, Praise God! God is Good. 😊

Judith, that sounds so hard, to be sore and bleeding and not being able to eat as much. I pray this medication does what it is meant to do. My heart goes out to you.
Linda and Barb, I am glad you both have a little good news about the liver and mouth sores. Praise God for His mercies!
The flooding continues with new towns going under and people being evacuated. They are scared as the waters keep rrising. Even though it is sunny here today, flood waters are not through riding. Again, we are safe and can still move around our community do will go to church this morning. It's heartbreaking what is happening to so many others.
1 -
Susan. Continue prayers for you with your rain-flooding. Sorry to hear about crops being destroyed and animals. That will probably only raise prices. Many prayers.
stay safe.
we are to, have storms as we sleep, we may have a wet week but we need the rain.
Any news on Colin with his heart. Praying.Linda. So glad a normal liver! PTL on that. God is good!! Keep us posted when you hear from your doctor next week.
Judith. So sorry after you see the dr and all the pain you are in. Plus some bleeding it must be so hard not to eat. Prayers. So very glad no weight lost.
Marilyn. Prayers for you and your kidney. Keep, us posted. Prayers that the baking soda is working. I’m sure that is not very pleasant to drink, so many prayers.
The funeral was very good. Gospel message clearly presented too. Lots of food. I ate 2 desserts so gained some weight. The family was so appreciative of the food and all. That was nice too I didn’t get home till 2:40. So it was a long day.
i didn’t get a walk in.
Not sure on my mouth sores each time I think I’m doing well I get a new one. Now I got 2 big ones. I almost ate lemon bar cake, which I love lemon bars. Imhad it in my mouth then remembered acidic so out it went. Did not swallow any.
I did eat pineapple upside down cake oh it was good. I haven’t had that in a long time.
Enjoy your day. May we all be blessed in Gods word tomorrow.1 -
Today we had a cold front come through so it was windy and chilly enough to wear a coat. It has been cloudy all day with rain early this morning and more predicted. We put some things out for the city cleanup but I have a dresser I want to put out but we will wait until it clears off a little. People usually drive around and take things that are in the clean up so I hope someone gets the dresser. It is scratched but can be fixed. It is just too small for what we need it to be. The family of my friend that died a week ago gave me a bigger dresser from her. It was made in the 1940's so it is really sturdy and in good condition. I will think of my friend as I use it. For some reason, not all the things were taken out of the drawers so I also got two nightgowns and several pairs of socks. Maybe they were just so tired of cleaning and the memories hard so they just quit and left them for me to dispose of them. I have no problem wearing them if them fit. I have not tried them on.
Judith - thanks for the prayers even though you were in pain and having difficulty eating yourself. Your sacrifice is so appreciated. I pray that this treatment, although very difficult is able to eradicate the cancer cells and you can recover with less pain. I hope that your bleeding has stopped today after three days of bleeding.
Susan - Praying for you and Colin's health issues and the safety of the flooded areas. I am glad that you are safe where you are. Has the forecast that you would have a season's rain in one week been truthful in the flooded areas?
Barb - I am sorry that you are continuing to have mouth sores. Although sad, I am glad that you did not eat the lemon bars. I have found pineapple causes my mouth to be sore so I hope that did not exacerbate your problems. I am glad that you were able to serve at the funeral and that the gospel was preached. It is so important that those who are still alive hear the truth and if needed, change their ways before it is time to leave the earth and meet God.
1 -
Linda, sounds chilly with the cold front and the wind chill, and of course the rain makes it feel so damp out wonder you were putting a coat on. Hope you got nice and warm with your coat wrapped around you. So nice you were given a nice dresser from the family of your friend who just passed away. A nice memory for you to have. Hope the nightgown and socks fit. You asked about the bleeding on my face and lips, Today the skin and tissue is so raw and inflamed, I am not using the treatment on the area tonight but will have to wait until tomorrow. There was bleeding today but a little less from what it has been.
Barb, so sorry about the mouth sores, they have to be so painful. I am sure it was hard but glad you didn’t eat the lemon bars, but you said you ate the pineapple bars, hope it didn’t cause issues with more sores. So nice there was a good Gospel Message at the funeral for those attending and for those who maybe heard the message of salvation for the first time. Hope there were some who came to Jesus! I am sure you helping at the funeral with serving and preparing food blessed the families who attended.
Susan, so sorry to hear about the rising flood waters in some of the communities. It was good there was no rain in your area and you were able to enjoy the sunshine. I hope the weather improves and the flooding ceases. How is your arm? I continue to pray for you and Colin for your safety and for all your family and the community!
Will say good night and God Bless!
Enjoy your Sunday Services. ✝️♥️🙏🤗📖

Susan. Praying for the rain & flooding conditions. Is there any relief coming in the coming forecasts. Prayers.
How is your arm doing co to ur prayers for you & Colin.Judith. So sorry for all that you are going through. Many prayers for you. I hope the w & inflamed skin has calmed down for you. We are praying that your bad cells from forming, will be killed maybe & you grow healthy skin soon.
Linda. We had the cold front too. Today is 20* colder than yesterday. I hope you hear this week on your kidney. Enjoy your new dresser. A nice memory.
So many plants, trees. & shrubs are blooming already. I think my lilac bushes & we got 3 will bloom soon. My white one will bloom for the first time!! Hoping my pink dogwood blooms this year too.I don’t think I got any new cold sores so maybe I’m doing better. Yet when I think that I get a new one.
Thank you all for the prayers
Marily. Praying for you with your kidney issues plus drs wisdom.
Stay well all have a good March April week0 -
Here is some news about Qld floods if you want to see more of what is happening now:
Yes, they got more rain than was predicted out west and the floods are worse than they have been for 50 years. Water isn't draining away yet. Brisbane got over 4" of rain in 2 days which caused local flooding but not like what happened out west.
We haven't heard from the hospital about Colin's appointments yet, Barb. I hope your mouth heals up quickly.
Judith, glad the bleeding was less, but it sounds like lots more healing is needed. 🙏
Linda, what a lovely way to remember your friend. ❤️
I am late for Uke this morning. Will try to come back later.
1 -
Judith - not all the clothing fit me but the ones that did are lovely. She was shorter than I am so that difference did make the clothes fit less well on me. I am sorry that your are still bleeding. Sometimes things have to get worse before they get better when it comes to killing cancer cells.
Barb - our weather was still cooler but not as windy as yesterday which was nice. We have a grape vine that we really love at our Denver home and we would like to have in Grand Junction. We brought back some pieces of grape vine from Denver to try to plant in our garden. We put them in water and they are starting to have buds on some of the vine pieces. There are till no roots but we are hoping to see them soon. We have never done this before so we are in unknown territory. Do you have grape vines?
Susan - The pictures are amazing to see the destruction caused by the flooding. Thanks for sharing so we an see what you have been saying.
I have been working on my piano runner but my sewing machine is not cooperating with me. When I try to fill the bobbin, it starts and stops frequently and makes an unpleasant screeching sound. I do have another machine that is a heavy duty that I may have to get out to finish the project. It is very difficult to try to wind the bobbin by hand! I do need to get some backing fabric so I will not be able to finish it until I have that. Maybe by that time I can take it in to the repair shop to see what is wrong with it.

Susan I clicked on the link you left: Shocking to see those pictures, parts of tops of trees showing through flood waters and that bridge that is down and the town is cut off from the other side, the town is talking about building a temporary bridge to help the people who have been stranded away from proper help. And the news report stating over a Million cattle lost. So much devastation. I am so sorry that this is happening. So glad you are still safe. Praying for you. And sorry you are still waiting to hear from the hospital regarding Colin’s appointment. Praying much for you. And thanks for praying for my face & lips!
Linda, sorry some of the clothes didn’t fit but glad what did fit you was lovely as you said. Such a blessing for you. Sorry you are having problems with the sewing machine, hope you can get it fixed soon so you can finish your sewing. It will be nice if you can have success in transplanting the Grape branch from your Grape Vine you brought back from Denver, sounds promising with it budding from being in the water. Will you plant it soon or do you need to wait longer for more buds to produce? Keep us posted. Tonight as I post there is less bleeding but is still painful and raw skin and tissues. Appreciate your prayers.
Barb, thanks for cheering me on with the ounces, so far I have kept the ounces on and didn’t lose any on the weekend. Good news for me! Sorry about the mouth sores, continue to keep you in prayer.
Marilyn, continue to keep you in prayer for your kidneys. Trusting God that you will get good Blood Test results with your numbers coming up from 9 and moving towards the normal range of 60. This is what I am believing for.
It’s late for me, finished my threads last night and started almost Midnight and now it’s Monday morning at 12:28am Good Night All! 😴🙏🤗

Susan, Wow some great pics and info thank you for sharing it with us. Prayers for all those hurt.
Sorry you are still waiting to, hear about about Colin & his heart prayers
Linda glad you got some clothes but length is important too. Hope you got your sewing machine foxed or the heavy one works for you.
No I do not have any grape vines. I hope you have success with your grapes. They so good once you get one.Judith so sorry about the pain & bleeding, but glad it is less praying for the raw skin & tissues Praying for wisdom for Drs too in treating you too
Marilyn prayers for you for your kidneys
I haven’t had any new mouth sores the dr say it is herpes, a virus & that is the medicine I am on is for herpes, chicken post & shingles. I hope by stating that I don’t get any new sores. I also, have an appointment with a ENT Dr 4/28 so a month away. They should be able to find out if I can’t find out why I am having mouth sores. A allergic react I think.
Mariposa is working on potty training she really likes wearing training panties. She is doing very well even has woken up at nap, time dry Maybe at night too I’m not sure I know Hong Hong told me but not sure so maybe anyhow she’s coming so thank you for the prayers. We are to get storms tomorrow night. We may have wind speeds up tom 90 mph with the storm. I hope that changes.Stay well all prayers as we get through the spring storms & fall ones for Susan.

More rain is coming today but especially tomorrow for us. It shouldn't cause floods though. The water in our state out west is still not receding yet. I know North of us on the coast is now cut off too as they have had heavy falls. A friend from our street is stranded at Bundaberg as the roads are cut. She is with family so she's fine. She is just having a little longer holiday than she expected.
Barb, Col is having a bad day with his heart issues again. He called about his Angiogram yesterday. They still have not scheduled it. If he gets worse I will take to the ER. Glad you now know the cause of your mouth ulcers snd can treat them. Also glad to know Mariposa is doing so well with her potty training. How is Annabella doing with her oesophagus now?
Linda, I have never grown grapes either. It will be interesting to hear how your experiments go. I hope you can get your machine fixed. I was wondering if there was a way to add some length to the clothes you inherited?
Judith, praying your lips and face heal and the medicine does what it is supposed to. I hope there is less pain ahead of you. Glad you are maintaining your weight! And I loved the picture of your kitty that I saw.
Thank you all for praying about the flood victims and their livelihoods.

I am a little tired today since I donated blood. As I have gotten older, it is harder to get my energy back. 10 years ago I felt energized but not so much today. I guess it is true with a lot of other things since getting older. I have not heard about my liver status yet but hope to hear soon. We are having a freeze warning today and the next few days with some rain intermittently. Of course, in our area rain can be scarce somewhere and get lots elsewhere so who knows if we will get any. I went to our closing fabric store today and got some new patterns that were 40% off. One is for wreaths for different holidays and the other one is for a blouse, skirt and pants all in one. We have a retreat to go to in two weeks but I don't know if I will have time to make many blouses before then.
Judith - I am glad that your bleeding has slowed down but sorry that the skin is still raw and sore. We put root stimulator on the bottom of the grape branches that are starting to get leaves on them so we will see what happens. They are now in pots with soil so maybe that will be what they need. I also put some jade plant cuttings in dirt but I will not know if they root for a while. They can not be too wet because they will get root rot so I have to be sparing with the watering until the roots start.
Barb - I am so glad that your mouth sores have resolved and I hope they are gone for good. That is exciting that Mariposa is getting potty trained. When they are ready it can happen fast. I think we as parents are ready before they are and try to hurry them.
Susan - I wish the rain would stop but I am not in control of the weather. I can only pray for the safety of everyone involved. I do pray that Colin gets his angiogram soon. How miserable to have to wait when his chest pain comes and goes.

Thank you all for your prayers and for asking after me and sharing your kind words of encouragement! It means a lot! The bleeding stopped tonight but the skin and tissues are extremely raw and there is swelling on both upper and lower face and lips. Very tender and sore but I press on and know God is watching over me. He is my Healer and is using the Specialist and Treatment to bring Healing ❤️🩹 step by step! God is Good!
Susan. So sorry Colin continues to wait for the angiogram! I am sorry about all the rain and floods and there are so many who are suffering and hurting with loss of land homes and livestock. So glad your friend is safe where she is in spite of the roads being cut off preventing her from coming back to her own home. I continue to uphold you all in prayer.
Barb, so exciting that Mariposa is doing so well with her Potty Training. And happy you haven’t had any further mouth sores. Hope you get your ENT appointment soon so they can treat you effectively. My prayers are with you.
Linda it’s great you are still donating blood but sorry it’s made you so tired. Hope it passes soon and you feel rested soon. Thanks for sharing what you do with the Grapes with the root stimulator on the bottom of the branches and are now in the soil. Hope they take root for you. And your Jade plant hope it does well too. Look forward to some pictures in the weeks to come seeing them growing and doing well. So nice you were able to take advantage of the sales at the fabric shop. The patterns you bought to make blouses skirt and pants will be so nice for you! Happy sewing, oh just remembered you have to get your sewing machine fixed. Have you sent it in for repairs yet. Hope it gets done soon!
It’s late so this fall is heading to bed. Good Night and God Bless! 😴🛌🙏🤗

Colin was so exhausted yesterday and he is having a rare sleep in today. Even though the temperature is lower today the air is still muggy so I put the air conditioner on first thing. He breathes better in drier air. I guess we chose the wrong place to live in summer as it is always so humid.
I made a few cards yesterday and might make a dew more today. It's a quiet activity. Tomorrow I have 5 women coming over for a card class so need to be prepared. If Colin worsens I'll be cancelling the class and taking him to the hospital though.
Judith, glad your bleeding stopped but sorry you still feel so raw and sore. May God bless you with healing and comfort today. Yes, the water is still rising out west. They are hoping the flood levels will peak today so they can start to recede. Then the clean up will begin. Ugh. My friend is still cut off from coming home but she is safe. Thank you for praying.
Linda, you are kind to donate blood even though it exhausts you. I hope you hear about your liver results soon. It is hard not knowing. I do like the sound of your sewing projects and gardening plans. May you have much success with both. Yes, none of us can change the weather by wishing, hey.
Barb, I hope you woke up feeling great today and are having a good day. Thinking of you.

Susan. Praying for you guys with the flooding & Colin having to wait some, one. I guess in God’s time. Glad you can GP to E R if needed. Praying that won’t happen.
praying Colin can breathe better too. So many prayers.
Did you get some cards madeLinda. Hope you have the energy. I use to give blood, but having given so much so,times the nurse has a rough time finding a good artery that I don’t give any more each time you give or have. Your blood checked leaves a scar. So that is:why it’s hard to find a good vein with me.
Praying you hear about your liver results soon too.Judith. So sorry about the raw & swelling skin. Also to the touch painful. Any prayers. Yes in God’s time, He can & will heal. We just have to wait for His time.
Hope the rain & all stopped & none on horizon.
We are to get 2 storms tonight. Oklahoma already has a tornado, so there could be tornadoes, hail, and wind. We are in at 3, we were in a 2 so they changed it to, the way I rather not see. All in Gods hands. Hoping no power outages either. This storm is to be big and north of me Minnesota and Wisconsin are to get snow. So glad we are getting rain though I rather not get hail. This storm may get big in St. Louis and east of us. Plus some flooding too The, meteorologists say it’s a huge storm.
stay well allOh Annabella is doing better she’s sleeping better at night through the night so Thant is good. Thank you for asking.
Our son, Harry 3 has some balance issues so pray for him. He’s 46.
I’ll send a picture of our lilac one of them with our neighbors next to it.
stay well & safe. 🙏🏻1 -
Barb, the Lilac’s are so beautiful. You brought some happy memories of when I lived back East in Ontario. My grandparents has a lovely brick home and lovely front yard with a huge Maple Tree and in the Backyard they had several towering Lilac’s, huge they were, had been there for many years. I loved helping my Grandma gather large bunches of Lilacs and arrange them in a large Vase in the centre of our Farmhouse kitchen table. Happy memories! Thanks for sharing the picture. So sorry hearing about the tornadoes and stormy weather that you are having and the other States. Praying for all of your safety. Happy that Annabella is doing well and sleeping through the night. Sorry about your Son who has balance issues, will keep him in prayer.
Susan, continue to pray for you and Colin for your safety and your community. It’s good your community is not affected with the Floods like the other parts of Australia is. Glad your friend is safe where she is but sorry she is still cut off from the flooded roads bringing her back to her own home. It’s good you have AC to help keep your home cool that helps Collin breath better. I continue to pray that the appointment will open up for him to be looked after. It’s good you have a local hospital you can get to should Colin need emergency care. Did you make the cards you were hoping for and did you have the class you were going to teach? I look forward to seeing some pretty cards when you can share.
Linda, I don’t see you on here but last night l left a post replying to what you shared yesterday.we probably are missing each other due to time differences and I am on here really early!
Thanks again for all your prayers! You all are a blessing to me in which I thank God!
Be back tomorrow! God Bless! 🙏🤗😇

Our day started out with a small amount of rain that evaporated quickly (some evaporates before it hits the ground). This afternoon we had thunder and lots of wind and now it is snowing. I don't think it will amount to much since it has been warm. I did get good news today that my ultrasound was normal and the doctor wants to see if my lab work has gone back to normal. I am to have the bloodwork done in the next few days and then he will decide if i should go back on my cholesterol medication. I'm not sure what my body is doing if the lab work comes back normal. It is odd that it went so high so quickly indicating damage to my liver but the liver says it is fine.
Judith - no I have not taken my sewing machine in to be repaired yet. I will be a little while before I get back to sewing again. I may also just use my other machine although since it is a heavy duty one it is really loud. I am feeling better since donating blood. Today was a really busy day so I am getting on here late. It is almost 12:30am. I had two Bible studies and then our group went to see the movie "The Chosen- the Passover". It lasted 2 hours but was really good that makes a person feel like they are part of the story. It stopped with Jesus cleaning the temple which was very impressive. I am wanting to see the rest of the stories that will be coming out soon.
Susan - I live in an arid part of the country and I wish we could have higher humidity like yours on the days my skin itches so much because it is dry. I am glad that you can use the AC so Colin has dryer air to breathe. I am anxious to hear if you need to take Colin to the hospital.
Barb - I hope you are safe from the tornado. As I said earlier we had a variety of weather today and several more cold days in the future. Your lilac bush is beautiful. We have a purple bush also but it has not bloomed yet.
I need to get to bed so I can get up tomorrow and start getting ready for guests on Saturday. They are coming from Denver and will be here for a short time.
