They are talking the Cyclone down again tonight. It may cross the coast on Tuesday. It's likely to be a Category 2 then, they say, which is just a big storm really.

The Cyclone is still a Category 2 this morning. It may cross the coast on Tuesday
It's far less of a threat than it was. I'll keep watching it though. So far we have not had much wind but that is supposed to build a bit today. It is far less of a threat now.

Thank you Susan for keeping us posted. So glad it’s been down graded to Category 2 and supposed to be a lesser threat to you in your area but for sure my prayers continue for you Colin Community and Family for your safety and protection! 🙏

The Cyclone is still a Category 2. It may cross the coast this Wednesday, bringing lots of flooding rain. People are preparing for a flood, but who really knows what will happen. I am calm. We're safe enough from floods.

    30°C/86°F to 22°C/71.6 °F (it feels 2°C warmer, so 32C/89.6F)

    Humidity 57% - 79%

They say the Cyclone will cross the coast near us this Thursday or Friday. We're putting small items from our little yard away, taking small pots on chains down etc. There is powerful surf pounding the beaches and causing erosion but you know we are 30kms (18 miles) from the shore. We're fine.

    30°C/86°F to 21°C/69.8 °F (it feels 2°C warmer, so 32C/89.6F)

    Humidity 58% - 78%

    Partly cloudy. 0 - 1mm rain

Susan, it’s good that you are taking down the hanging pots down and other planter pots away from your smaller yard. I was happy to read you are 18 miles away from where the Cyclone is crossing the Coast and be pounding along the beaches, it sounds you are far enough from there and should be safe. I will continue to pray for you and your family for safety. 🙏

Today we have a lot of heavy cloud, and the temps are about the same as yesterday.

Early this morning at 5:00am we had a 4.1 Earthquake that hit BC in Victoria, the Island, Washington State and parts of Vancouver. I didn’t feel anything but a friend living in the next community over from me felt the shaking.

I hope the earthquakes don't get stronger, Judith.

Cyclone Alfred has now turned towards us and us due to cross the coast in the next 48 hours. We're in for strong winds, heavy rain, flooding and property damage as it moves inland. I'll try to keep you posted but may lose power on Thursday/Friday and beyond. The wind is already gusting and moaning sometimes, a classic sound of cyclonic weather.

    29°C/84.2°F to 21°C/69.8 °F (it feels 4°C warmer, so 32C/89.6F)

    Humidity 61% - 81%

Showers and wind increasing. 4 - 30mm rain

Thank you Susan. I hope not either. Can’t remember when we had 2 Earthquakes within 2 weeks of each other.

Today it was mostly cloudy but we had some sprinkle of sun light. Our Temps today: High of 10 Celsius degrees and low of 5 Celsius degrees!

Susan and Colin praying for your safety that your community and home, travel camper won’t be affected by the wind gusts and rain.

BC had another Earthquake yesterday, 3.9 this time, it’s 3 now in a very short time. It was near Victoria BC

it was felt in many areas, what we are experiencing here in my area and other nearby communities are more rain, cooler temps and very cloudy almost dark.

Praying for Barb’s Sister who lives in Victoria for her safety.

Susan, I came on briefly Friday night but just got here now. Thank you for the weather radar map showing me the details of what is happening where you are. Such a precarious situation for you, Colin and your family and the entire community. Praying for your safety that the winds and flood waters will not cause any damage to your home, camper or your property. Love and Hugs! 🙏♥️

    Hello All,
Here in my area we are under a heavy Rainfall 🌧💦💧Warning that began at 4:00pm Pacific Time Zone. It is expected to last thru the night. My yard is saturated in water but thankfully no flooding. Trusting there won’t be any flooding.

It is very damp out and it makes our temps feel that much colder.

Susan, sorry about the heavy rain 🌧 30 to 110mm of rain expected in your area is a lot of rain. Glad your wind gusts are lower today. My prayers continue for you my friend. 🙏

For us the Heavy rains that began at 4:00pm in the afternoon continued thru the night and lasted all day. My yard is water logged but thankfully it’s not flooded. All day we had dark skies and it was so damp that we felt the chilly air, made me shiver a few times today. It sure felt colder that it really was.

Today the Forecast said 90% rain. However, we started off with light rain that I was hoping the forecast was wrong but it was short lived as it picked up and has been raining ever since. I just looked out and it apprears the rains have slowed down to a slow drizzle more than a heavy rain. Temps were a High of 6 Celsius degrees and a low of 3 Celsius degrees.
