Trying to get my head back in the game. I know it is mid-month, but that's ok. Most of the day is pre-tracked. Have exercise clothing on for the day (will head out for a walk then more unpacking, packing and such). Let's see how the rest of October goes. Will do my check-in later.
Yay ur back, Missed u sooo much!!! Xox2 -

3 pass days used
Quick check in to post my update and will catch up in the morning. Last night I had to do several hours online for work. Spent 8am to 9pm today helping my father move to a new place today. Counting all that moving of furniture and stuff as my exercise today. I managed really well all things considered between the sleep and the activity. But now to get some proper rest!5 -

2 Day streak!
Lovely hike at sunset ❤️❤️
One small change I made today…
I committed to tracking every gram & entering data prior to next eating time (which was the other change I adopted today).
I decided to go back to regularly timed meal: 4 evenly spaced meals. 10-1-4-7 I’ll adjust the time a bit after Daylight Savings time.
Welcome back @SModa61 !! So sorry to hear of your dad. Hope he’s okay & back home.6 -
Track: yes
Calories: yes
Exercise: yes- Treadmill: 38 min / 2.29 mi
Tomorrow will most likely be my first pass day of the month as we'll be attending a milestone birthday celebration of my partner's sister. It'll be the first time we've seen anyone in his family other than his sister and brother-in-law since Dec 2019 ... and we've only seen them one time this summer partially in/outside the vicinity of my garage. I'm a little curious about how much the children of his niece and nephew have grown over the last couple of years. Covid sucks.
It's nice to see you @SModa61
I wish @MaltedTea would return too

Thanks @Mrs_Hoffer .. have a great hiking trip!!
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? 94 minutes walking, 20 minutes yoga
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes
Good point @TerriRichardson112 ... so true that small changes add up to big results! All the little decisions we make for ourselves make a huge difference!5 -
Exercise - yes an hour of walking - and a long team game of piggy in the middle in the pool which involved lots of jumping and swimming around (and laughing and fighting, it was so fun!)
Tracking - yes kind of - difficult as the evening involved a big group take out with all sorts of bits and pieces to try,
Calories - no, I didn't go overboard with the take out but couldn't squeeze it into my daily calorie goal (partly because it wasn't planned so I didn't cut down earlier in the day)5 -
Yes, yes and yes
Headed on vacation with intention! I have multiple trips planned for the rest of the year and my goal is to improve the way I handle travel since this is my big area of weakness. I have been told cell phone coverage and wifi coverage is minimal where we are going so I may be checking in later though I will continue to track food and exercise.6 -

Pass day 3/3 used on the 15th for my daughter's birthday, Yesterday all good, can't remember if I logged the day before but it was all good too! I am so proud of myself that even though I have used all 3 pass days already, I have exercised every single day this month3

@SModa61 Welcome back and so sorry to hear about your Father. You've had a very stressful year and it appears to be continuing. Hopefully things will turn around soon.
@mgreen1965 Traveling and socializing is tough but although you feel like you're struggling, it seems like you are managing it fairly well. Keep going!
@znaoiec Great mindset -- Happy vacation!
Yes x 3 today. One of the golden nuggets really helped me last week. My sister was over Oct. 2nd. She does really well on Keto and encouraged me to give it another go. I tried it one summer (2019) and really struggled with it as I love fruit and I indulge in a favourite local Thai restaurant regularly (Thai food = noodles). I debated whether to give it another try but then I read Golden Nugget #2 on Oct 7 and it more it or less articulated what I was mulling over in my mind for a few days. All 6 points on that nugget hit home with me. Ultimately I need to accept that my life has changed and I need to own it, and choose to take action to do something about it. It also needs to be something that I can sustain in the long term. Anyway, just thought I'd share that today.7 -
Very bold @Jana_2020 you can do it and we are all here to help if needed!1

Another Pass Day used. I went over calories and don't think I tracked every bite. Exercise was just a 30 minute walk on the treadmill because my cold made me feel really fatigued yesterday, so not a lot of extra calories to work with. I've been struggling with "the nibbles" the last couple of days. A few almonds here, a few pork rinds there.... I think some of it is comfort eating because of this cold even though it is a pretty mild cold. But I think the other thing is once you give yourself permission to nibble like that you tend to continue nibbling like that and then it accelerates. So time to nip it in the bud before it gets too out of control!
Two weeks left in the month. I'm out of the Winner's Circle but I still have a fighting chance at being at the weight I set for the end of this month. Will need to lose 1.5 lbs to do it, so on average 0.75 lbs a week. Doable yes, but it means getting back to taking the UAC seriously again. I think once I had used 4 Pass Days I started slacking a little when it came to tracking.... But I am BACK ON TRACK NOW!

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank?
This is my first time back with this group for several months. My first day was the 14th and while I did stay within my calories and track I did not get my 20 min. exercise in.
On the 15th, I did manage to do all three. Finally success. Then on the 16 I managed all but did not complete my tracking. I am trying to make a comeback and really need to get going. It is hard to stay motivated, but I'm going to keep trying.
I really like the 3 goals of this group and it worked for me last winter.

Taking a few minutes to go through the Oct 16th posts. This group really has wonderful people here. The notes welcoming me back, and the newer notes relating to my day and all that happened with my father, were lovely. Thank you all. Let’s see if I can keep my head above water. I will be trying.6

Sunday, October 17
Tracking: Yes
Calories: under
Exercise: Yes, 20 plus minute walk to the playground with a 3 and 6 year old, play for over an hour, 20 plus minute walk back to house. Last time I had to carry the tired 3 year old the whole way back. This time I got smart and took their wagon. It was great until the 6 year old climbed in as well but pulling is way better than carrying.
