Fat Burners and Shape Shifters are also both fantastic ideas!
The ‘burners’ language feels motivating in terms of fueling fitness energy and ‘shape shifters’ is so positive.
We might need to use one of those new polls available through the website updates, so we can reframe our perspective on the changes. 😂🤣😂
I’m still getting used to the new format but appreciate the efforts of MFP staff and leaders to provide updates.
Change is hard but necessary. One of our family mottos is ‘adapt or die’ but it still takes practice! 😅3 -

Good morning everyone. Sorry for not weighing in this past Saturday. Can I be placed on support until February 1st please? Outside of the holidays coming up, my husband and I are officially house hunting.

@Nature003Life I popped in for a visit and saw your request, so I moved you to the Support team. House Hunting is exciting and during the holidays everything will be decorated and lit up...how nice!! Hope you walk in and find that perfect place just for you and your family...you'll get "that feeling" just like I did when I bought my house...I just KNEW it the right one for me. Good luck! We had an appointment at the maternity/baby clinic today and I weighed in, another 3-ish lbs down, in less than 3 weeks! More than half of all pregnancy weight is now gone, I’m out of the 110s and into 100s (in kg) and feeling more and more active each day. There was a very scary moment at the clinic though, Finland operates in kg but for some reason the scale there was switched to lbs, and seeing the numbers go waaay up was a momentary shock treatment before realizing it’s set in lbs.
This rate of weight loss seems pretty easy to continue, 1,1lbs per week without any real attempt to count calories, limit treats or exercise. I’ve just been focused on upping and maintaining my milk supply and taking walks with the baby in her stroller. At some point I hope to start losing faster, but right now my focus needs to be on the baby, maintaining milk supply and recovering from birthing her. My postpartum checkup is in 3 weeks, so I hope to continue my current rate until that and then get cleared for exercise and a more conscious and slightly faster weight loss rate. My ”fitness” goal right now is to find time to do some stretching and foamrolling to ease the back pains that come from holding, lifting and feeding the baby in weird positions.5 -

Yeah, weighing in the day after thanksgiving is always depressing. We had guests arrive earlier than usual for the holiday so we did a lot of eating earlier than we typically would. The kids go home in a few days then it’s back to normal for a few weeks.
I was horrified to discover that I had not tracked at all for most of the week, so I’ll have to rebuild my streak. The lack of tracking has definitely shown on the scale this week. My weight has been trending up for the past month so I really need to do a reset.
Time to refocus!

How did everyone’s weekend go?
It’s not a holiday weekend here, but we did have something to celebrate. I turned 30 last week but there was a schedule conflict, so we hosted a birthday brunch with some friends yesterday. This was a big change in celebrations, as usually my birthday has been celebrated with an evening of free-flowing champagne, and this year it was an alcohol-free brunch with 2 babies and one toddler in attendance. Yesterday was also my husband’s actual birthday, so today we had a steak dinner to celebrate that. It was a really fun weekend!5 -

Congratulations on another successful week!
I’m glad I’m not participating in the weekly weigh-in because I would have had a negative effect on the Shrinking Assets team this week 🙄.
I’m working on maintenance after reaching my goal weight but used my son’s visit from college as a reason to eat some unhealthy food. He exercises regularly and enjoys nutritious food in healthy portions so I’m not sure why I self-sabotaged. I’ll need to reflect a bit more on why I lost focus.
My rowing group was on a three week break between the regular season ‘on the water’ and winter conditioning, but we start our new fitness schedule today. So, I’m hoping that eliminates my ‘I’ll start TOMORROW thinking.’ Every decision is an opportunity to start fresh and make a better choice but the colder, darker days get to me. I’m hoping the accountability of my winter conditioning group helps me over the hump and I can build the positive workout and nutrition habits back into my daily routine!
I might have to check in more regularly over the next few weeks while I work through the transition. I stayed within my maintenance goal of 120-130 but I skipped a weigh-in last week so I’ll be sure to post an update on Thursday, too. I was inspired by you, @jazzadesigns, for facing the weekly report with honesty. Ignoring the truth won’t help me!
I appreciate the encouragement and accountability of the F2F group/ Shrinking Assets team and look forward to widening our support network with the Trimstones under our new name. It will be a good opportunity to refresh my approach and excel as part of our new ‘identity’! I’m going to focus on becoming the person I want to be! Go get those goals, team!3 -
