Happy birthday Karen. You have a great time. <3 Your picture is great.

Chris you can do that workout with Ronan. He will love it. I looked at the second one. Ouch. I managed to stay with it last night. But my form was awful.

Tonight I am going to a Christmas party with Rocky's stained glass class. I am looking forward to it. I have gone really under on calories all day. This is really going to be fun.

Shelley, he just might like it. He does do yoga with his mom. His favorite is Downward Facing Dog!! He barks like a puppy the entire time. So much for calming yoga. :D The fact that you stayed with the video and did not give up is worth a zillion points and a lot of steps!!
Have fun at the Christmas party. I love stained glass!
Managed 6.23 miles in 105 mins this afternoon. The fog was crazy thick this morning. You could see the neighbor and one more house...that was it! So nasty.

Chris we lived near a lake during my high school years. And many times the fog would roll of of it and cover the road. It was eerily like a werewolf movie setting. Yep, creepy and neat all at the same time. I think I showed a photo of his koi stainglass. It was great.

Got up and did my ab's this morning before work. Tonight we are watching little Eli so his moms can go to a Christmas dinner party. So no time for working out tonight.

Shelley, yeah, it was creepy again this morning and then, all of a sudden it's clear for three blocks...then really foggy again. Crazy stuff!
I got 60 mins done with my trainer this afternoon. Going to finish my book now.

No walking for me today...refrigerator bit the dust...no serviceman until Wednesday...most everything was ruined...fruit okay...ordered small fridge with tiny freezer...came within hours but can't plug it in for five or so hours...sigh. Merry Christmas to us!! Made a small Raley's order with two large bags of ice for the ice chest...'think camping,' says husband! :(

Chris that was awful. Our freezer was unplugged once. Half a buffalo was in it! Thank goodness I had to do laundry and noticed it. Only the meat in the door was thawed. Never had to go without a fridge in my own home though. So sorry that happened.

Could have sworn I posted yesterday. I did a full KCM workout. There were burpees in it. Two sets. With dumbbell rows even. I was sweating and breathing so hard my lungs are sore today. Today we spent all morning and through lunch doing maintenance on the aquariums. Won't need to do that again for about a year.

Chris I think I would just buy a new one. Even if it can be fixed parts may have to be ordered. Yikes, think long term camping.

    Amazing picture, Karen!!

I had thought about asking for a new refrigerator for Christmas because the ice maker quit spitting out the ice...something about a little part quit working...a long time ago, but we were emptying the ice compartment into a bowl and placing the bowl in the freezer and that was working...sort of. However, the door has several dents in it and I was just thinking about a new one when this one started acting up. Mind ya, this one is only 9 years old. Karma?? Don't even think about it or it will happen?? UGH!!!

60 min workout w/trainer this afternoon.

Love this Karen. As many times that I’ve been to Vegas I’ve never been to the Grand Canyon. Will not make that mistake again. Have fun!

It was about a 4 hour drive Kath...but reasonable. Just so beautiful here and quite accessible for most fitness levels. We are hoping to get a hike in today into the Canyon...although the weather is a little spotty today...a bit of rain and snow....fingers crossed!

This trip for my 50th has been amazing! Spent 3 days in Vegas with my sister and 2 girlfriends and then came to the Grand Canyon for 3 days and back to Vegas for a day and then out. I've been exercising a ton, and doing pretty well with enjoying food, but not overdoing it too much (although I enjoyed day drinking while in Vegas!) I do love walking and exploring...so that's been fun. I've been fasting at least 18 hours each day.....which is good while on vacation I think.

We plan on hiking into the Canyon today..may have to wait for the weather to clear a bit.

This trip has been a big deal for me....big birthday....I have always had hiking the Canyon on my bucket list...and am now I good physical shape to do it....wasn't that way for most of my life...I've always been doing so much personal work over the last few years....so I've been really looking forward to it for months.....so all good ;)

    Attaching another amazing view...134ddsd2gb82.jpg

Love the picture Karen. You will have to tell us more about the wildlife and the trails.

Chris it is almost Christmas. I say get a new one. You will be glad you did. I only wish mine was not stainless steel. Really keeps me from using my magnet collection.

Did a KCM workout again last night. Was not feeling the best so kept it to weights and no jumping around. Sanara gets her ankle looked at again this Friday. Hopefully she will be able to put weight on it.

Wow Karen, what an amazing birthday. Fantastic.

Shell, Good luck to Sanara. It's a tough road, but it's so nice when things work again.

Chris, Sympathy for your refrigerator. I've been going through similar house problems, drains backed up, turned into no flushing. So. I wrapped the cracked section in plastic bag, cardboard, and zip ties, which held until the pipes were replaced.

I had to bail septic water out of the ditch which was equivalent to a couple hours of squats and arm lifts with slop bucket weights. That was 3 days ago and everything still hurts. One way to force me to workout; stop my toilets!

Have been off keto since eating for my cold; and cravings are ruling my world. Drinking, overeating and gaining weight. It's so hard to get back on the horse.

    Best wishes all,
    Paula

Paula that horse should stand still and make it easier. Blah! I think you should pretend your drains are plugged every day. Or just work out. Next time you will be ready with bucket in hand. B)

I am not feeling well lately. Bad cold I think. Still doing some dumbbell drills though. Just got back into working out and refuse to let this get me off track. To easy to get derailed and so hard to get back to it.

Paula, sounds like a shi**y exercise to me. :# DH is the one with the plunger around here. :D
Shelley, I hope you are feeling better. You are so right about getting derailed. Good job getting it done! The fog around here has me in a Fog Funk.<<I made that up!!>> I kinda don't want to do anything but sit here and think up excuses why I can't go see my trainer today. My car won't start (that's such a lie!). My shoes hurt my feet (try again). I can't find my glasses (I don't wear them to work out, but...). My refrigerator is broken (that's true!). ...sigh...
I am so glad you guys are here for support!!

Chris I love those excuses. I might need to borrow them. ;) I love the Fog Funk, are you sure that isn't a real thing? I am sure it is. Now here is a kick in the butt to get you going. ( my form of support) :D

I worked late last night. So no workout. And still feeling poorly. My co-workers are who gave me this crud so I don't feel bad being around them.
Sanara had a large tree fall on her house. There is a hole in her roof and her chimney is damaged. We are expecting snow tonight also. And she still can't walk. Maybe after her appointment tomorrow they will give her the ok.

OMG, Shelley! Sanara's luck needs to turn around soon! That's just awful!! Warm thoughts and prayers.

Hope you're feeling better soon. I had a cold a month ago (the one that derailed my keto diet) which lasted a couple weeks and sapped my energy. Hope your youth helps you recover faster.

Chris, You crack me up. :D Maybe if you told them a tree broke your friend's daughter's house? Argh, that's no help. >:) Did your fridge's warranty just run out? Do you get to upgrade?

My shopping will power has managed to avoid buying more whiskey; and the last bottle's almost empty; so maybe that'll help. At least my legs recovered from the septic workout.
    Lots of small blessings recently:
    • We no longer own the landslide-destroyed house.
    • Had coffee with a fellow retired coworker yesterday.
    • Going dancing tomorrow.
    All good.

Shelley, you are welcome to whatever works for you!! I tried to look up Fog Funk and Google had Fog as in Brain Fog and Funk as in you are in a Funk. So I guess my Fog Funk was that I was in a Funk because of the Fog but Google didn't have a specific funk titled ... Fog Funk.
I am so sorry about your daughter's house! Man! That has to suck Big Time!!! I hope she heals quickly. And I'm so sorry you are feeling cruddy. I hope you get better soon.
Your butt kick worked...60 min workout w/my trainer yesterday and 5.74 miles in 99 mins today. It was really clear this evening. A crescent moon and bright star to the right of it. Beautiful!

Paula I am so happy you are out from under that landslide home finally. That has been like forever! Have fun dancing.

Chris thanks. Rocky and I were up lots last night with coughing. So glad when it is over. Rocky and I both love the moon in all its stages. They need to add FogFunk. It is real.

Not sure I mentioned but this is the second tree to fall on her home. The first was when they moved in. She got the clear to start walking a little. Fingers crossed. Been hard sleeping. Just coughing and feeling like crud. Going to court in a few minutes. You all have a great day.
