Happy New Year!
It’s been a minute for me. I’ve been loosely tracking, loosely exercising, and loosely weighing. I’m unhappy with my current shape and need to tighten it all back up. I plan to do a dry January, get back to tracking everything, and log here at least once a week.
Good luck everyone!

My January fitness goal is to lose a pound a week. I haven't weighed today, but that should put me at 149 or 150 by Feb. 1. I'm also going to check into this group once a week. I'm feeling a little disconnected from people, and I know I need connection for my mental well-being, which leads to my fitness. Ultimately, I'd like to weigh 140-ish (I'm not attached to any number) which should ensure that I have plenty of room in my pants! Oh, and I will eat the amount of protein I set on the app at least 4x per week. Looking forward to seeing all of our progress!6

Ok everybody, 2022 is going to be a great year!! Or at least better than 2021. I am going to focus on selfcare - as a busy working mom, I don't pay enough attention to my own needs.
Here are some of my goals for 2022:
1. Plain tea instead of sweet coffee
2. Sleep more (lights out before 11pm)
3. Walk the dog everyday, rain or shine
4. Lose 5 pounds (or swap for muscle!)
5. Bootcamp and weights 2× week. Maybe even more weights - I think they likely hold the key to my feeling and looking great.
6. Soccer/hockey/run (or equivalent) 3x a week
7. Log everyday, check in here 1x week
We got this! Happy new year everyone!!!8 -
Happy New Year!
Thanks for starting this accountability thread - I lost focus of my health goals the whole of December. I'm now ready to get back on track with better quality foods, more movement of any kind, and more sleep.

If I lose three pounds this month, that would be so great.5 -
I picked up 2kg over the holidays and I dealt with it by eating more
So I haven't weighed myself again since then. Have to get back on track now although now I have more to lose.5 -

Not chasing a particular number, just physique goals. Will be shedding some bodyfat and chasing the shreds for the next 10 weeks.4 -

I'm 146 this-morning, pre Christmas I was bouncing between 142.5 and 143.5 so I'll I'd like to get back to the 142's ASAP - hoping a lot of the gain is temporary from extra salt and carbs. Ideally I'd like to hit 140 by Feb. Had a good break over the holidays and ate loads so certainly not going into January feeling deprived 😂. Actually looking forward to having my routine and lighter eating back.4 -

So far so good. My stomach feels SO much better when I wake up in the morning when I have been eating right! It’s one of the things I like most about tracking.
I always stock up on berries when the store has a sale. Helped yesterday when I felt myself batting a craving for sweet. I don’t tend to worry about sugar too much, but I had way too much of it over the holidays so I’m not surprised to be craving.

I'm just maintaining, but this is my favorite group/way to do it.

I got up to about 128 immediately after the holidays - mostly water and food contents, but I've been off my game re: nutrition for a solid 2 weeks, thanks to multiple christmas dinners with different family, and then an agility trial where the food options were limited and I didn't prepare. Fortunately the trials are usually offset by activity.
I'm glad to be back to my normal diet, though, I was feeling a little gross for a bit there.5 -
I was pretty horrible about fitting in any extra workouts, and wasn't tracking anything food wise for months, and it definitely started to show, hitting my "scare" high weight (and my pants backing up what the scale was saying) - I started tracking again, and realized very quickly I've been WAY over consuming - lots of liquid calories, but way over consuming food calories too. Adding up to "no wonder" so been back on track a little over a week and the scale is dipping down again.
Other than a stint of "revenge" weight loss (which didn't last very long) I've been pretty awful, but as part of some other, bigger, life goals, these smaller things are part of my daily critical tasks...

I didn’t really track or exercise at all over the holidays so I look forward to getting back into the swing of things. I’d like to drop a few pounds this year and be somewhere around 125 lb again!

Hey everybody, Happy New Year!
I'm so excited I was able to quit my 9-5 job, Jan 14th is my last day, so I will hopefully have more time for working out/running and less stress! whoohoo! (Self employed now)
I've just been maintaining, trying to keep my weight between 130-135lbs for a couple months. Still working out and running but not as often as I would like.

Hi guys,
I'm back after a long break, I had to clear my mind and heal my body a bit. I went through some issues (in short: one molar broke off, still have my frozen shoulder, some issues with my hip which aren't diagnosed yet, arthrosis & bursitis & tendinitis in my ankle, and my toenails fell off). Add to that a lot (a LOT) of stress at work and I just wasn't in the right place to think about eating healthy.
Since two months, I finally went to the gym and I now also have PT for my shoulder. I call it my "midlife maintenance check".
Anyweez ... current weight is 168,5 and I'll see where I land at the end of the month, no goalsetting yet.

Same to you @HoneyBadger302 - welcome back ! And yes It's crazy how fast liquid calories add up.
@tracimckinney that's awesome about the job!
There is plenty of inspiration and support here - I hope lots of us stick around beyond January.3 -
Hi Everyone! Long time no see - nice to see some familiar names pop up as well as new ones!
2021 has been my most sedentary year yet and December was all about the food (and drink). I'm on the heavy side (13st/82.55kg/182lbs) and want to re-introduce running. I did up my PT sessions to weekly (was bi-weekly) back in October or so, and plan to go back to the gym probably early spring.
I haven't decided on weigh in days yet, and I may just play it by ear a little. I got my starting numbers yesterday as that was my first working day of the year. Specific number goals also feel a bit too focussed. I'll just go with an arbitrary sub 180lbs goal for Jan because 1) it's achievable and 2) I really do care more about habit improvements.
Hoping to check in a few times a month for some accountability.

Going in the right direction and I already feel better back in my usual routine, hopefully not too long before I am back to my pre-Christmas weight in the 142’s, the ultimate goal is in the 130’s (I’ll take 139.99 :-)6 -

Wednesday will be my usual weigh-in day, so adding today to this thread.
Lightest weigh-in for a few weeks now, which is good, but also starts the week off on the low end lol.
Trainer just sent me my new workout plan though (or the start of it at least) so will be kicking that off tonight - I'm going to be hating life hahahaha!

I think I'm mostly going to go with Friday weigh-ins. Having had a think, I think I'd like to ultimately go down to maybe the mid 160. Doesn't seem all that low, but my frame is medium/large, meaning I look odd if I get too thin.

I haven’t been perfect with diet or exercise. We had a snow storm that knocked out our power for 24hrs and that threw me off a little, but I am moving in the right direction.5 -

I hit all my goals this week, sort of. Having been sick for the last weeks of December, however. I need to remember to ease back into things. I did a great weight /strength workout but was so sore that I had to take days off. And I went for a great run but it totally zapped energy. So I just need to dial a few things back and ramp up slowly. Not a problem! I can do this. I'm going for a power walk today and doing a short weights session. That's the plan!
I love that we are all trending in the right direction, bouncing back from the holiday feast season.5 -

Hi! I'm new to this forum. I got some extra kg during lockdown and since the gyms closed I lost a lot of basic fitness. I've since been chaotic with homeworkouts. This week I started again, doing the Chloe Ting 2022 weight loss challenge. Let's see where it takes me.
Ultimately I would like to get back to 49kg (108lbs), and waist 66cm by the beginning of summer.

I had some ups and downs this week but I'm pleased to see a downward trend beginning. I focused primarily on my food intake. Starting today, I will do some kind of exercise however small.

Hey all, do you post your stats weekly, or stick with month beginning/end?
2 -
Hi @stacyrey12 It’s completely up to you! You can post as often or as little as you like. Some people post at regular intervals, like a certain day of the week. Some people post every day. Others, like me, are a bit more random and post whenever they have a moment. Whatever works for you to keep you motivated.

Hey @staceyrey12 , I post my weight once a week because I think the drama of my daily ups and downs would be boring to someone else. But if it makes you accountable or motivated then go ahead and post every darn day or hour!
Even if I'm not posting my weight, I do check in here often and will sometimes comment for the heck of it (like now). It's motivating to see where friends are at and I think it's fun when everyone is chatty (plus pics - everyone should post more pics!) I just like knowing others are along for the ride. 💙 Plus I can legitimately use cool words like "shred" and "great burn" that otherwise I never get to say.6 -

I didn’t really do much workout wise this week, just making sure i hit at least 10k steps. I also focused on portion sizes. I’ll be continuing that this week while making healthy switches and getting at least 2 good workouts in.6
