Our storms/tornado warning dissapated right before it hit us! Lucky!

Well, I am focusing on taking my vitamins, and decluttering right now, along with doing some artwork (NeuroGraphic). Everything else I am compliant, except I haven't started walking much yet. I have to get my strength back.

I started my bed PT today working mainly on my legs and hips, and a little on my upper back. I have to get stronger again, and I don't have to go to the PT place to do it!

I am trying to take care of myself better. I made an appointment to see the diabetes nurse, and I made an appointment to take my "other issues" to an internal medicine doctor at the same practice who got some good reviews. My diabetes nurse never minded taking care of more than one issue, but the online portal now dictates that other issues must go to someone else. lol!

Today, I cleared off the little shelf above my sink discarding all old lipsticks and stuff, and cleaned out my bathroom basket. It filled up half a kitchen garbage bag. So much stuff in one little space!

So much good is noted in your post. I had to Google โ€˜neurographic artโ€™. Sounds interesting; I like the mindfulness aspect of it.

    Thank you, ladies!

My BG has been really good, fbg of 95 and 105, but only if I count my carbs and fast each day.

Had a really bad shingles attack which went into my head. Ouch. Take two steps forward and one step back, but I am still going forward! Sis said I had it in response to daisy's illness.

Shingles are horrible!! Both my first husband and husband now had them in the same area. Terrible.

Glad to hear about your blood sugar levels. And sorry about getting shingles. I got them a few years before I was to get the vaccines, age-wise. Not fun, but mine wasnโ€™t as awful as other people have gotten it.

Becca, hope you are feeling better. I have been away too long. How goes your tracking?

My hubby and I have both had our shingles vaccines now and are ready for another covid booster.

I had my current shingles shots, but I am one of the ppl who gets more breakouts of shingles from the shots than less. My doc at the time recognized that. I got the zostavax years ago, and then had to go on daily valtrex to prevent all the shingles outbreaks I got! It turned out that later they disclosed that happened.

Just be glad you're not one to get more shingles! ๐Ÿ˜†

My tracking has been going pretty well. Thank you for asking. I've noticed that my daily carb count is around 110 net grams of carbs per day. I don't aim for that. It just happens naturally when I stay on a mainly unprocessed food diet, and get my fruits and veggies. I do around a 90/10 split of processed to unprocessed. All my little tricks I've employed over the years help.

So, in short...lol, my lower carb eating and tracking is great. My meds are pretty good, almost 100percent compliance.

I need improvement in taking my liquid vitamins. I am averaging around 30 to 40 percent with that.

I need improvement in my exercising, but I did start doing leg PT in bed. I will do more as I am able. I plan to do more short walks with the pooch. It helps both of us. I have to build my stamina as I still am trying to get well from long Covid.

I need improvent in turning to joy more often through my artwork.

The decluttering is going pretty well. I do it several times per week.

Check out our new spring time chat!

You are doing great! I am doing okay too. Trying not to get too stressed with everything I need to get done.

Today and the last few days, I have been going on dog walks in varying degrees. I've noticed that my blood glucose is on a downward trend. Happy.

I also took Daisy to the backyard today and enjoyed listening to all the birds. She loved it too. I am usually rushing her inside, but today, we stayed out until she told me she was ready to go in. It was a joyous form of meditation!

Tomorrow, I meet my new pal in person, and we will be going to a nice park. I met her through a series of zoom classes and she is "geographically desirable" as we used to say in California! ๐Ÿ˜†

I used to drive all over Los Angeles, Ventura, and Orange counties to visit my friends when I was there. I'm unsure if I could do that now with my creaky joints.

Some of my friends would like to visit me, so that will spur my efforts to get things done!

I watched a YouTube video by Dr. Tracy Marks who said those with ADHD will do better on tasks if they break up the tasks with fun things to do, like watch a TV show. The reasoning is the dopamine centers in the brain don't work as well so long tasks can be difficult. By breaking it up into shorter tasks and doing something fun (like pulling weeds) helps to complete a task.

I used that trick while I was studying as a young kid. I would study intensely, then take a quick fun break, then go back to studying. I didn't know I had ADHD until I was 43. I just struggled a lot when I was younger until I found my "work arounds."

I am learning to look at my tasks as tiny little tasks that I can do in a small amount of time.

Tonight, I had to scrub the kitchen and dining room floor. I used a broom, a wet, manual floor scrubber, then a mop! I took my breaks after each task, not only to get past a boring task that is irritating, but to help compensate for my energy level. It worked! I have a nice clean floor now!

I hated that floor until I realized a broom gave better traction than my vacuum. So much hair from the dogs and my sister! Unbelievable. Then, with the floor scrubber I got up tons more hair! Finally the mop made everything nice.

I've got curly hair so I lose my hair in the shower, with my nice Oxo drain catcher. Poor ole' sis. She still has tons of hair, but tells me her hair is thin now.

ADHDers hate boring tasks and may procrastinate doing them. I never minded cleaning until my energy sunk.

FBG after about 14 hours was 92! Wahoo!

Still tracking LC and getting lots of veggies.

Appetite is starting to decrease some.

Kind minis are a good treat--not to sweet. 90 calories, total carbs 8g, and 4 grams fiber! Net carb grams are 4! It's really tasty too. My favorite is caramel almond and sea salt. Gluten free. Plus, there are no fake sweeteners! ๐Ÿ’•

Well, thanks to Tish, I am back to decluttering. I found paperwork dated to 2020 on my side table in the den.

I also found out of date gaterade and tomato juice which I emptied in the sink and recycled.

If I do at least 10-20 minutes per day, I can get this done!

My BG has been consistently pretty good. I plan on eating lots of veggies this summer as it does help my BG and my blood work is due soon.

Decluttering has been coming along recently quite well.

I am finding "joy" in my day by doing my NeuroGraphica art, and it seems to energize me! I am enjoying the online classes I am taking, and the teacher gives me valuable feedback.

Need to get compliant with my vitamins.

    Compliant with my meds.

Getting more steps on my Fitbit! Yay!

Lower carb eating is pretty consistent evidenced by my better blood glucose!

I have hope for the future.

Fell off the wagon today...yum! Now, back to my regular eating. My bg has been better and I actually got a fbg of 100!

I found out my dog loves my homemade split pea soup. Dogs are funny and have a varied selection of tastes.

I am sort of stalled on weight loss. Hovering between 178.2 and 181.8. The higher was after we had eaten out and consumed a lot of salt. Normally I am more around 180.

I am still burning stuff and am glad to be tackling some of the paper work stuff which I tend to put off.

    Thanks for the treat recommendation.

I fell off the wagon one day with some simple carbs and have been paying for it. Correcting with rapid insulin, and eating more veggies. It's starting to come back down.

I was non compliant on some non diabetic meds for about a week, but I am good now.
Still non compliant on vitamins. I went into sad mode as my wonderful online therapist took a promotion at the company, and will no longer being doing therapy. He was so helpful to me! I have an online meeting with his replacement tonight.

Decluttering continues. I emptied my sister's upstairs bathroom which took two full garbage bags. I will be scheduling someone to give a quote on replacing the shower pan and painting the bathroom. Everyone will want to use that bathroom when it is done! I bought a cute accent cabinet for the room, too.

Today, I decluttered the fridge and the attached freezer. Yay.

Daisy will be at the vet tomorrow. She needs an adjustment on her cushings meds, and both her eyes look terrible! Possible infection or bad allergies. I took her outside last night for the first time in weeks, and her eyes were swollen shut today. One eye had been getting gunky in the past few days.

I go to my new doc tomorrow for a physical, and my EKG for my California doc.

I hope to meet up with my cousin soon. I haven't seen her since my teens, I think.

I finished my neurographica basic user course, and just need to submit my homework assignment. The class has given me much needed energy!

Down 10 pounds over a period of months. Remind me not to misbehave during the holidays.

Fbg was almost at goal. Nurse Sparks wants me at 100 to 130, and I was 136. So much better than my last high. Need to stay away from simple carbs.

So glad you are losing weight. Sounds like Daisy needs some meds for her allergies. I don't tolerate simple carbs either. We both have to be very careful. Good job on the decluttering. I hope you like the new doctors.

Yes, the new doc seems fine, and that's good as the diabetes nurse has had her hours cut.

I found a new doc for my sister, too, who is an internist for geriatric and obesity issues. She gets good reviews among my social circle.

I've been doing my NeuroGraphica art and continue to take classes for it. I am enjoying it!

I got the ok to go to PT for my back. I just have to make the appointments.

I need improvement in all my goals right now. I strive to take my meds early in the morning.

My sleep is better so I am waking up earlier, usually between 7:30 and 8:30.
I get the dogs fed and medicated earlier which is good.

All is pretty good right now.

I liked fiber gummies but don't need them much any more as I am eating tons of fiber.

I just started taking fiber tablets to hopefully help with my cholesterol and my regularity! ๐Ÿ˜

I am doing well taking my meds, and usually my vitamins too. I even started to take all the supplements that I learned to take from the Wahl's Protocol, like liver tablets.

Today, I am late giving Daisy her meds.

Compliant with all meds and vitamins! I switched to my sister's various gummies vitamins for now.

Sis and I had to go to chase bank, vand we got sick. High blood glucose, ugh!

    Wagon has been draggin'.

Good news is that I went to my first PT assessment for my upper and lower back. My spine is really stiff. So far I've done my home PT. It's only been one day. ๐Ÿ˜†
