Yikes. I worry about my blood sugar a lot. Good job on the PT. Everything helps!

I've been doing my new PT routine along with my older PT exercises as my legs and hips got really stiff!

    Thank you, Tish!

I report back neck week. The PT peep did some manual therapy on my neck and spine. She said it may take a while to get the flexibility back. She did an excellent job.

    Finally back to LC eating.
    80 percent compliant on vitamins
    95 percent compliant on meds
    100 percent compliant on PT

Been keeping up with daily chores thus far and doing some laundry.

Anxiety is higher these days. It has been hard the past few months. I think more activity will help, plus getting one chore done that I've been procrastinating. Ugn.

I think you are doing great. I go through periods of anxiety too. I think keeping busy helps.

I really feel this. You've been through a lot! But it sounds like you've got a good plan for dealing, and that's half the battle.

LC eating could be better, but not terribly bad.

    Vitamins need better compliance

    Meds compliance ok.

PT compliance was excellent until I went through an exhaustion phase, but my PT is really nice and doesn't overwork me on those days.

Getting most of my doctor appointments scheduled and done, including the dog appointments.

Life is pretty good these days. I try not to stress, as stress doesn't help much.

Sounds good to me. I am doing okay too. Trying not to stress as it is harmful.

Glad to hear this, so many PTs push maybe a little too hard.

True. I have a good and nice PT.

I'm back to lower carb eating as the gluten free cookies are out of the house. I didn't do too badly, but it is so much better for me to eat non-processed food.

I have an ice cream machine coming and plan to blend Too Good yogurt with a frozen fruit before adding it to the machine. The yogurt is low carb!

I love ice cream, but can't tolerate dairy (except for yogurt). The vegan ice cream is atrocious on carbs...43 grams of carbs per serving when normal ice cream has 22 grams, excluding the premium brands.

I couldn't decide on which compressor ice cream machine until a nice pal suggested one. It's affordable, and has great reviews!

Still doing well fixing good meals, and I turn to a few unsalted almonds when I'm in a munching mood. It dampens the appetite.

I just started my continous glucose monitor today, and found out that the 1.5 cup of cherries I had with my eggs this morning spiked me to 306, from 267, and I had taken 6 Novolog to correct my morning glucose level, along with 76 tresiba.

It will be interesting to see what spikes my glucose levels.

I am starting lower carb again and IF.

I had been eating some of my sister's chocolates, about two per day. Whoops.

I love cherries but I try to eat just a few. Not more than 12.

    Good tip! Thank you.

The monitor is helping me a lot! I was also tired of pricking my fingers for 10 years! 🤣

    Diabetes burn out is real.

I've noticed I have less of an appetite when my BG is in the range I want it.

I'm careful using rapid insulin, as I try to eat a good diet. It comes in handy for times of illness and for times of having a piece of two of caramel chocolate, which will apparently always be in the house as long as I reside with sis. I just eat it rarely.

It helps me make good decisions on carbs too, as I don't like that irritating high glucose alarm to go off.

@beccaboo1276414 @MorticiaAddamsMSFS and any others in the group who monitor their sugar levels...I just want to say that is awesome. Doing what you need to do to stay healthy. Some people with diabetes (or edging that way) don't monitor their sugar or modify their diets. It is so critical and yet, at times (or always), it can be a pain in the tush (or finger!). My blood sugar is good, but I helped my mom with hers when she was getting older, so I have some idea of what it takes.

Yes, thank you, Maggie! Hugs to you and Tish!

My blood glucose is finally in a good range. Medicare covered the freestyle libre 2 reader and my sensors, as I use mainly insulin to control my diabetes, and my diabetes nurse knew how to apply for it. It would be $400 for the reader, and $200 for each sensor, and I use 2 per month. I researched how to get it covered, and then asked my nurse to do it. I wish they were more proactive in telling their patients.

    Compliant on meds
    Non-compliant on vitamins...boo.....
Had to stop PT due to illness, but will call to get scheduled again.
Compliant on lower carb eating with very few exceptions.

Overall, things are looking up! Just need to start decluttering again.

I got a cheerful yellow mum, and a cute little painted pumpkin for my elderly neighbor. She loved it! I also asked her if she needed anything as I was going to order grocery delivery. I told her if she ever needed anything, to please let me know. I feel bad as she is alone. My mom always took care of the single neighbors when I was a kid. We send a meal to her during the holidays. It's just small acts like that that makes life worth living sometimes.

Ate plain yogurt with dickensons lemon curd at midnight! Boo. It raised my morning blood glucose. I needed half a helping earlier in the evening. I don't trust the carb count as it tastes so much sweeter than what they say, and the rapid insulin I took didn't cover it.

I think for medicare to cover it you have to be on insulin as my doctor gave me a prescription and they refused.

I wish we had better neighbors. We could use one like you.

Yes, you are right. I came off victoza after I had what may have been a gall bladder attack. I have been on long acting insulin for a while, but had them give me rapid acting insulin. I hate using it, and try to get lower carb so a don't need it too often.

Anyhow, I knew medicare would cover it after researching it, and asked my diabetic nurse to put the request in (electronically). I had a prescription before but didn't use it, as the reader was $400, and the sensors would cost me $200 per month!

Isn't it terrible that patients have to play the game! You have to find out the game on your own, then play it!

I had a delayed reaction to my yellow jacket stings event from last Thursday. It went from itching and slight redness, to ITCHing and really red swelling.

I messaged the doc for an epi pen about the delayed reaction just in case I need it. We'll see if she will do it. They will probably tell me to go to their walk in clinic which I don't want to do as Covid is high here and no one wears a mask. I think I caught Covid again weeks ago from going to doc with sis and her doc tells us she got Covid two weeks prior, kept on working, and wasn't wearing a mask!!

I may not be able to bounce back that well if I keep on getting sick. Frustrating.

I think it's really unfair that they keep people who could benefit from this product from having it. I have read that it can actually be cheaper than a regular monitor. I don't know but I think everyone should have access to the best care possible and this is the best care. Why wait until your diabetes is out of control to allow you to have it? Prevention is the key.

Covid is high here and no one would know except they keep track of it in the waste water. No one here will wear a mask.

Very few ppl wear a mask here.

My bg is trending to the higher numbers again. It may be due to my delayed reaction with the stings. I took 3 units novalog. I have to be really careful with the amount and give it time to work, or otherwise, I go low.

Precose helps me not take as much insulin as compared to my insulin consumption last time without it.

I believe ppl should have the best care too, especially preventative care.

I think that as a nation we need to focus on health care first. Too many people fall between the cracks.

    That's true.

I took 3 units novolog today to bring my #s down a bit. Had an excellent dinner of salmon loaf and steamed spinach. Breakfast was nice too...cheese omelette and plum and strawberries. Sis never eats fruit unless I put it in front of her.

    Tracking and staying on LC
Climbing steps daily several times per day
Need better compliance on taking vitamins
    Compliant with meds

Taking whatever energy I have each day to get some extra stuff out of the house. One large bag routed to trash today. Placed one item on curb if someone wants it.

Need to decrease my carb consumption. Yes, I've been engaging in a piece of pie here and there. Ah...the holidays.

Still using my continous glucose monitor. Sad I had to wait so long to get one as it's quite helpful.

I like the word, 'engaging', when speaking of eating food. I think I'm going to have to use it!!! I have twice 'engaged' with ~8 oz of eggnog, something I hated as a child and now realize that it is amazing, both in taste and in calories.
