Bad news today. Katie's ovarian cyst is actually cancer which starts in the uterus. She won't be able to have her own children. More tests will be done to stage her cancer. What a shock. Thankfully, she went to the doc to make sure everything was ok before she got pregnant. Sis researched and found out PCOS can cause endometrial cancer. Time for me to get a pap smear and to have the pain in my right ovary checked.

Niece had no pain or symptoms.

Sorry to hear and hope you are feeling better. Appreciate the honesty and owning it. So much better when we own it and move on. I have spent too much time beating myself up over mistakes that I have made. Perfectionism is over rated.

Thank u! There is beauty in imperfection. I may have messed up this morning, but I worked so hard today. I got a lot of boxes unpacked and the boxes recycled. I am begging my sis to stop buying stuff. Perhaps 4 of the boxes were what I ordered. The whole living room and front hallway were nothing but boxes. It is hard work.

Now, I have to shampoo rugs. I may wait a day before I get into that--need the rest. 😁

I like your blood glucose tracking; it is so important for those with concerns in that area. My mom had Type 2 diabetes and it was quite a balancing act, at times.

Thank you, ladies! I started a mindfulness diet program here on mfp. I need to do ten minutes meditation each day. I am counting my reiki. Diabetes T2 is a balancing act!

Stupid question here, what is reiki?
  • beccaboo1276414

Reiki is an energy modality. I was trained or "attuned" to do it. It really helped during Covid as I wasn't able to get to my massage guy. It helped my pain level.

I lay hands lightly above the body to bring the good energy of the universe (what I call the God love) in through my hands and concentrate on certain parts of the body...the chakras or whatever other part may need some tenderness, like arthritic joints.

I do it for my sister and my pets too. It seems to relax them and calm them down. That's why I see it as a form of meditation.

My poodle, Petey, loves getting Reiki and will lie down for me to work on him. He's a hoot!

Thank you. You would love Petey. He is such an interesting little fellow!

Well, I am back on my tracking and lower carb eating. My appetite has been poor so I am doing the IF too. I wish I would not fall off the wagon, but I am human. I've made many changes for good benefits over the years, and I need to give myself kudos for that!

I hope so too. Sending hugs.

I am doing better at tracking food and eating LC.

For a snack last night, I had some defrosted strawberries with unsweetened vanilla almond milk, a triple zero oikos yogurt, and some keto granola (mostly nuts) from Sam's. It was really tasty and it didn't spike my blood glucose!

I had a good blood glucose today (Target range) after being close to 300 when I was ill.

I've been doing well taking my liquid vitamins and have been feeling better.

Today, I started decluttering my bedroom a bit.

Daisy continues to improve! She is on clavamox and Flagyl. Clavamox covers both bacteria found in her urine culture, and Flagyl is for her cholangitis. She has a much slimmer profile too, being on her Cushing's meds.

    Life is good.

Today, the blood glucose was great!
Took my vitamins, shots, and meds, and counting my carbs. So far so good. Really need to eat more veggies.

    Straightened up a tiny bit.

Enjoying my new perfume, diorissumo, an oldy but a goody.

Flares are a pain. Energy level was great yesterday, and today, it's in the can.

Blood glucose is still pretty good. I am resting when I need to, but managed to do the kitchen and some laundry. Storms will be coming tonight and Wednesday into Thursday. Everyone wanted clean underwear in case we lose electricity!

    More improvement for daisy.

Great improvement on my blood glucose. Slipped up today with Jordan almonds. Have to look at all I do right, which is a lot, instead of a screw up. Mistakes don't equal failure. They equal learning opportunities. All I do right: tracking food, counting carbs, taking meds, bringing good food into the house, cooking good food, etc.

Forgotten to take liquid vitamin for 3 days.

Great news about Daisy. Our storms are all day until about 5pm. I was off plan for about 3 days but am back now.
