Hi everyone,
My name is Grace, I live in Nottingham with my sister. I am now doing my PhD corrections and also trying to get back to pre lockdown weight. I am working from home but trying hard to get out of lockdown mode. I haven’t been able to weigh myself for weeks but did today and I weigh 106kg. Looking forward to giving this attempt my best. I weigh in on Sundays usually. I will send in my weight then.
My goals for this Month is drink 2l of water daily, walk a minimum of 3000 steps and eat foods with less sugar/stay under 1400 Calories.5 -

What a day! The absolutely delightful birthday card from @veronica1359 was a great way to begin! I am sure the twins' smiles got even bigger, if that is possible, when they saw that. Great fun! If you really want to know how to delete your post, though - go to the 3 dots . . . at the top of the message, click on it, and you should be able to edit or delete. But you practicing and learning something new is wonderful to watch in any case
Thank you @jugar for the instructions about deleting a post, but it is possible only before one hour you posted it. In the case, I look for an answer in some discussions in MFP and followed it: click on the flag and scroll until "report", then look for your reason, in my case was "This is my post and I want to delete it", add a note and send to report. Someone deleted my posts.1 -

Another possibility is to ask me to delete it for you - since I am the fearless leader, I can do this!1 -

hello hello and happy Thursday
I was still on vacation Monday so it's a nice short week for me. The long morning walks I've been doing have been working really well, and I started with another 1.25 mile jog today. I am surely the slowest thing on the road but if I keep at it, I can get back to sub-10 min mile pace. That's always my goal when I pick up running again. And it will get easier as I shed some pounds. Definitely feeling the "chub rub" recently, but I am putting off buying new leggings and work clothes until I make some progress. Plus, the whole "quit my job" thing means any extra spending money shall evaporate soon!
@bowens1973 and @ashleycarole86 man oh MAN, you guys are cruising! sometimes I feel like I'm more excited for other people's weigh-ins than my own on this team XD
My non-scale victory for today - I did the walk/jog and yoga before a few hours of work. I was starting to feel pretty hungry just before noon, but that's a little early for me to eat lunch. My brain started down the snack fantasy path, as it usually does. "What if you just ate a bunch of pretzels and popcorn for lunch???" I kept working another 30 min and then get up to make lunch (whole wheat english muffin pizzas this week!) and I actually started with a serving of pre-portioned pretzel crisps and got into the strawberries while the pizza was assembled. Eating in steps like this actually meant that by the time the pizza was done, I was totally satisfied. I feel good. Time for walk #2 of the day, a workout, a little more actual work, and then I get my afternoon snack.6 -
Thanks @jugar and @Kali225 for the support and the encouragement.. reporting into this group is serious motivation for us!
Think of all the reduced stress we're putting on our floorboards and furniture with that joint weight we've shed!!
Anyway, really appreciate this place and what it provides to us. I honestly think being here is the difference maker for me this time. And having a partner walking what's basically the exact same path is super helpful as well.
@veronica1359 come to party anytime.. always down for some fun
@Kali225 awesome victory with your lunch.. and I love english muffin pizzas, excellent choice!! you'll be back to your running pace in no time I'm sure
3/2 exercise:

Wow! I have not checked in for awhile! I always mean to post and then something pops up. My goals for this week were to meet my calories 5/7 days this week and do 2 or 3 workouts. I'm on track for this goal as long as I work out tomorrow. Another goal I set for myself is no more wearing yoga pants to work. Leggings are pretty popular among the staff since it's a preschool. But...I just do better with the "pressure" of real jeans or pants. I swapped out my winter closet for spring and it is notably more dressy to help remind me to keep at it. I have slowed down on workouts. One of my shoulders is super sore for no reason after covid. Some sort of inflammation thing so I am really being gentle with it.
@Kali225 Hang in there! I'm pretty sure my weigh in tomorrow isn't going to be pretty either. It happens but we are in the right place.
@collegelyfe17 I'm a pediatric OT too! Best job ever right!?! I work for a school district at a big preschool center for about 400 kids. I don't really snack much at work but when I get home 😋. I just know I will and it's budgeted in ahead of time.
@micki48 So sorry to hear about your sister 😔 Such a bummer. I honestly despise moving and truly feel for you guys!
@ashleycarole86 I know you and Brad have really enjoyed your work from home time. Hope the transition back to the office goes smoothly!
Happy birthday to our twins!
@jugar So happy you got a real deal music gig and you fortunately dressed the part. That was lucky. I can't believe you are getting more snow. Ours is long gone and we have entered mud season.
@KellyBgetsfit So sorry for the frustrating weigh in. It's not fair to work so hard and not get the pay off. Sometimes I feel like the work we put in shows up in 2 weeks. Don't get discouraged! Hugs6 -

Crazy, busy stressful life did that. Not really the way I want to feel to have a good loss, but I’ll take the loss and consider it a win.
Off to my to do list. It’s almost going to be over. Still lots to accomplish before then. We do not have Juliet today so hoping we get a lot done.
I made rice in my stock pot last night because I had packed my sauce pan I usually use. Kinda funny.
I had a big crying breakdown last night because I was trying to set up my new healthcare in PA. I was on the computer for 2 hours and still couldn’t get it accomplished. So frustrating. So I had what you might call a cathartic, guttural scream cry period. Then I started walking around the house (between boxes) and got control of myself and felt better. See exercise works!!😬😳🤪😂7 -
@conleywoods omg no way!! I used to work in a school district but PRESCHOOL SOUNDS LIKE FUN!! I work in outpatient and work 10 hour shifts so I feel like it’s so hard to workout when I come home😭 the location I work is also about an hour away so I’m exhausted but I try to workout once a week when I’m off.3

Lost 1 lb! But I know I can do better. I have been logging this week and I hit too close to the limit and past it. Maybe should work on staying under the calorie limit and continue to reach for 6 cups of water a day.7
