@DD265 I am RIGHT there with you!! If you don't mind, I am going to hop on your 5 steps for handling my own binge eating. I'm going for 80 oz of water a day, but #5 (staying in calorie goal) is my biggest thing. Crazy that that is the whole point of this calorie-counting thing and I am totally disregarding it!
@happimess01 DUDE!!! That's incredible!!
@conleywoods I have to say, your little story there had a very satisfying ending with that teacher getting fired! Like a really good reddit post.
@ashleycarole86 UGH return to office was tough. I slept really poorly, which isn't like me. My foot injury may be getting worse in that for the first time, I couldn't find a comfortable position for it in bed. Anyways, I was awake a bunch and finally got up to the alarm at 5:30. I walked for an hour from 6-7am which felt weird. It was quite dark out but I did get a good snap of the sunrise. I'll try to share from my phone after this post. I brought my breakfast and lunch items and did okay with eating. The office was very quiet and downtown still feels deserted. And definitely lots of emotions about quitting! Half of me is like "you're making a huge mistake, you don't know what career you really want but you do need INCOME!" and the other half is just cackling at the prospect of being free.
I just did 2 FitOn videos virtually with a friend - we're going to try to work out "together" Mon/Wed/Fri this week which I love. Now I'm going for a walk with @micki48 in mind!! "Miles to go before I sleep..."7 -

I have started going on daily walks and training for 30 mins, 3 days a week with my trainer. I started on Wednesday. I am looking forward to how my body reacts to adding exercising to my routine. This week I’ll just keep my carbs low and keep my steps at 4000…6 -

@ashleycarole86 Thank you for letting me join the step challenge. I’m not sure I can commit to posting regularly at this time and would like to be taken off the list if I was added. Will continue to post weigh-ins. Thank you for all the motivation you give this team!☺️4

Tuesday Weigh-In
PW: 236.6
CW: 237.9
Not super happy with a 1.3 gain but considering the drop last week, and how snacky I was the last few days, could have been a lot worse. I have a good plan for this week, and really trying to work towards feeling a little more comfortable in my body by the time I leave for a girls trip to LA (April 1).
I am listening to the mourning doves while I get breakfast ready.7 -
Happy Tuesday from North Carolina! OK, I'm way behind checking in with you all. I've been reading all of your entries and often "like" them or "hug" you. Now, to tell you how I've been doing. My flight from Burlington, VT to Charlotte, NC last Friday was lengthened due to the airport being fogged in and unable to let us land. After 1 1/2 hours or so on the ground to refuel in TN, we got back on the plane and finally made it to CLT.
When we first landed, I felt frantic for a few minutes sitting on the plane because I didn't know if real food was going to be available and when would I get to have lunch and, and, and. Wow! It's interesting that I'm so food motivated! I mean, I can understand when someone has survived extended times of hunger but I haven't, at least not in this life time. I heard the refrain from a song @jugar performed several years back. "...try to relax..." That eased the panicky feelings and as soon as I sat down in the terminal and ate a turkey sandwich with a large coffee, all was right with my world.
I admit that I've been over my calorie plan, eating ice cream in the dining room every night and sometimes having a few thin cookies similar to digestive biscuits. They've hit the spot.
I'll be in the pool later today to get some of my gentle exercises in for my shoulder and I'm sure we'll be walking in and around the clinic for Mom's Neuro appointment later this morning. Tomorrow morning will be another fitness class (in person, no less!) and that makes even more official exercise this week than I've had for the whole winter. Every bit helps!
The day is filled with wonderment. Let's keep our eyes peeled for it and enjoy the process as it unfolds.
Glad you made it back safely, @jugar! Great to have time in person this weekend.

@micki48 Sending good vibes for your sisters surgery! Please keep us updated. Fingers crossed it goes as planned and recovery goes well. You are so close to moving day. Yikes, moving is very hard work! Hugs3
-
@micki48 thoughts are with you and your sister today. I hope the packing went smoothly.
@happimess01 great pull-ups! I've never been able to do one without an assistance band. Amazing work.
@Kali225 the calorie counting.... It hasn't been happening for me lately either. Basically the whole point of this app, and I haven't been logging. We shall see what tomorrow's weigh-in brings. Good luck with the job situation. Income is important but not at the cost of your sanity and happiness. I hope you find something new that you will love.4 -

You were certainly added and counted and you will see your name on the report for this last week as you had GREAT stats!
I will know not to be looking for your steps from now on so I appreciate the heads up. I will be happy to re-add you back at any time that works for you
Keep up the GREAT work and the accountability to yourself2 -

Home sweet home! It feels good to be back where the ground is white, but the break from boots and coats was certainly wonderful. I had a lovely week, plenty of exercise, beautiful walks, talks, meals, and general hanging out with my mom and sister.
Today's elliptical:
I'm thinking of you a lot @micki48 - hoping your sister got through her surgery all right, and knowing that you are getting closer to done with your move! Soon you will be unpacking and putting everything right again. All the steps this week come with your invisible presence - I am enjoying walking with you. We'll all make it to Philly together!
@Kali225 I'm so glad you are fitting in those exercise sessions with a friend, even if you are not "together". During crazy and difficult times, that kind of routine can help so much.
Many hugs to all of you who are in the demon-fighting stage of eating right now. Try to get back to logging as soon as you can, and rein in those wild horses5 -
Ready for the Wednesday folks? Let's go!
@kdblpn
@PlaneMonkey
@AshenMoon
Walk lots of extra steps tomorrow as @micki48 and her entire household start their trek!4 -

Im so wishy washy!
I lie in bed and get mad at myself for food and exercise choices and I get all motivated then as the day goes on I relax, start to slip with choices, and don't carry out the plans I made in the morning.
That's going to change right now!
I'm printing my catalyst photo and sticking it to the fridge and kitchen cabinets.6 -
No weight change but feeling pretty good, my clothes feel a little bit looser and I finally get to wear a new bra that hadn't fit me when I bought it 😁5
-
Not only have I taped my least flattering photos to the fridge and snack cupboards, but I have added these notes into the grocery list app I use so I will have reminders while at the store to not give in to temptation and prevent foods that affect my willpower from even entering the house.

@PlaneMonkey Just Say No! That is my mantra in the grocery store sometimes. Walk past those tempting goodies with your head high, your back straight, and feeling strong and amazing!1

Doesn't that feel fabulous? I got back from my trip to the US with my trousers looser - that elliptical machine is great! It burned off those ice cream calories pretty well no weight loss, but loose trousers - I'll take it!3 -
Hi everyone!!! Thank you so much for all of your support. Like I told @jugar I have tried to post 3x and MFP won’t let me. Told me I didn’t have permission.
The truck is almost full. We have way too much stuff. Weed while you can.
My sister came through her surgery well. Was in pain last night in ICU. but is better managed now. Just got a notification that she’s being moved to a regular room. Yay!!
I’ll check in again when I can. Thanks again!!!!

Good news on your sister being moved already @micki48 - so glad to hear that
Got yours steps from Liselyn so they'll be included in the monthly tallies
My mom is about to sell her house and she is wanting to move in with us. I am torn. Lots to think about around here.3 -
I have a question for you all.
As many of you know, we used to post all of the weekly results here on the team chats. It took up a good bit of space, so we (moderators) decided to move them to their own thread (in Announcements). Now, we only post each team's top 3 people, together with a link to the thread where the full results of all five teams are posted.
I'm curious about how many people go to look at them. Do you?
Here are some of the pros and cons I'm contemplating, just to figure out which way might be better.- It is fun to see all the teams' results, and to have a bit of rivalry each week. Or is it? Some people love competition and find it inspiring, others, not so much.
- The full results are a good source of information on how other teams compare, even if it is not competitive. How many pounds per week do the other teams lose compared to ours? Who are the most consistent losers and what might they be doing that works so well?
- Seeing the full results gives all the members more of a sense of the whole F2F community. Or does it?
I'd love to hear anyone's thoughts about this - maybe it makes a difference, maybe it does not. Do you find one way more useful or inspiring than the other? Of course, other ideas or suggestions about F2F are always welcome! Thanks2 -
@jugar I preferred seeing the results in the group chat because being on a mobile with the MFP community navigation hiccups, I couldn't be bothered to go looking for the full results in a different chat thread. I like to know how we stacked up against other teams but I'm at a different point in my weight loss journey than I was a year ago so my competitiveness has ebbed. I'm glad we at least kept the top 3 here and you've been great with giving us details on how the teams compared to keep us motivated. So I guess if possible I would vote to putting the full thing back in the team chat, but I'm happy either way.

Non-scale victory to announce! I now fit into a size medium life vest. I can leave the size XXL hanging in the shed. I haven't been a size medium anythingsince I was a teenager! Can't wait for boating season.... 😁6

EEEEEEE HAH!!! Good for you, Courtney! And thanks for the feedback on the results thingy.1 -
Only a wee tad of nagging tonight! Two weigh-ins due Thursday and everyone else all caught up!
The dynamic duo weighs in -- @ashleycarole86 and @bowens1973
The lucky @evangsimmons170 is in Hawaii and gets the week off2 -
@micki48 Glad to get an update about your move and your sister. Glad things are moving along 🙏
@PlaneMonkey Sounds like some awesome wins for you! I also struggle with the fading discipline during the day.
@jugar I don't make an effort to check out the other teams stats. I am not super competitive so that's probably why. I also feel very devoted to everyone here and don't bother spreading my attention thin by visiting other pages.4 -
Evening! Just stopping by to do a quick step update:
Mon 03/14:
46 minutes Peloton + 11235 steps
Tues 03/15:
46 minutes Peloton + 8951 steps
I went for my first outdoor bike ride of the season today! Mind you.. it was 11 minutes, but hey!! I am feeling a tad under the weather, not sick but just not well... so that was all I could muster, but it felt nice. I am try to get more comfortable with outdoor cycling as I find the hazards of being out there a bit stressful
@jugar
I do click on the announcement and go look but I suspect you are getting a lot less viewership now. Most of my inspiration comes from within our Waistaways team, but for that reason I do love taking a peek to cheer on our folks! Over time I do recognize names from other teams (mostly those who participate in other challenges with me or the group challenges) and it's nice to familiar faces doing well too.1 -
