Stress and Cravings

Good morning everyone!
Today is a day I would like to stress/ nervous eat. This is triggered from my foster daughter (7mo) having a doctors appointment that her bio parents will be at. Her parents are particularly difficult and belittling.
So my mind races all day and through the doctors appointments with defenses about the issue we will be addressing at todays appointment. It feels like the only thing I can do to comfort myself is eat. I know there is a box of cookies in the office at work and it has been very tempting (I placed them on top of the fridge so I do not have to see them in the brake room.)
I do have a cup of hot tea (herbal) with a little Splenda in it. I have taken my anti anxiety and my coworkers are practicing their breathing with me. I have a book for when there is a lull in my day plus some tomatoes to snack on. I even went to the gym this morning and did 30 minutes of spinning.
What do you practice in situations like this?
