Thank you guys! We went over this afternoon and while Pat played with Ronan, I got to hold Collin while Pete helped Sara shower. I had Nick by C-section and I don't remember all the stuff Sara is going thru with hers...then again Nick was born 33 years ago. Things have changed...a lot!!
Collin slept most of the time I was holding him. So cute!!
No walking for me today. Tomorrow I'll be going to the post Office and back. Should be a nice morning.

So I'm not a spring chicken (clearly)...my right elbow is killing me from my weight workout...took some ibuprofen and put some biofreeze on it. Im sure i overdid it. It was an intermediate class...clearly i need beginner lol! I signed up for a meditation class and then my normal Sunday yoga this morning, but may not be able to do yhe yoga...pretty painful. Let's see!

Had a great day doing so many things yesterday. Bella's therapy was good....she is really starting to see some important things...we had a really nice day together. She even came home and did some homework she was backed up on. I call that a win!

I love this selfie I took of us at a coffee shop 😍

I lost a couple of pounds last week and am happy with the downward trend. Tracking seems to be making all the difference. It helps me fight that little hunger at the end of the day, instead of feeding it and thinking, "since it's good, it's ok".

My newest mantra: Good food is not okay when it is too much of a good thing.

    Karen, Bella is beautiful!!
    Paula, Good job!!
We had Ronan this morning while Collin went for his check up. He is doing great!! We went over to No Name Park for a Creature Battle btn Ronan and Grandpa! Sorry... but there is no end to their battles...ever! The trees are red and gold! Beautiful!
Then I walked to the post office and back...6.44 miles in 123 mins in the new shoes...a little slow but I did it!!
We are going over to Sara's tomorrow mid-day to help out. Don't know if I'll walk in the morning, but no workout w/my trainer. Might be the same thing for Wednesday...we'll see.

No walking today. It was 34 degrees this morning and Pat talked me out of it by telling me to go back to sleep. Going over to help Sara, Collin and Ronan for a while. Pete has a doc's appt and Sara still needs help getting up and down.
I might walk after we get home...we'll see.

Chris - I'm sure they were grateful for your help! Those first few days are rough.

Had a late work phone call I just got off of....had to pull together a few presentations quickly so was in the office at 6am. Yikes! Got them done though.

    Off Wed-Sunday....woo hoo!

    I'm tracking too Paula!

Evening snack got me the last two days but within calorie limits. But I learned something.

Even though both snacks sounded good (cheese & rice crackers vs. protein powder "hot cocoa") the crackers didn't kill the cravings; whereas the protein powder really did help. I'll have to remember that protein and fats satisfy the tummy better.

Kathy, Hope you're doing well. Sending ((hugs)) to your mom. <3

I don't haven't gotten a bad headache in a long time...it was one of "those"...I don't say the word cuz it's a cuss word!! Anyway, I didn't walk today. We picked up Ronan for a play day with Grandpa. We put out three big, pretty, sparkly whirly-gigs just now. Ronan's placement for them was so sweet...we have a dragon out there who has captured a princess' house and the whirly-gigs now surround them.
Yesterday was wonderful! I got to hold Collin for a long time. He sleeps really well. We'll probably go over tomorrow...depending on how Sara is doing. I'll keep you posted.

    I have missed so much!

Collins is so adorable. Wish I could hold him. Congratulations to everyone on this little guy. What did he weigh? Chris I need more photos.

Karen you two take the best photos.

I have been doing 16 hour days and then got sick. Still coughing.

I was reading over the posts tonight. Looking for mine! Grumble.

Chris are the boys birthdays only a day apart?

Paula and Karen I am so excited to see you are doing well with the night snacking. And love the snuggling cat photo Karen.

Kathy are you going to the gym again?

I was hopeful to be working out again. But no. Cough is still horrible.

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Oh Shelley sweetie, It's not called "forgetful" when you're sick. It's just called being sick! Poor baby.

Makes me want to give you a big hug and then tuck you into bed under a pile of warm blankets and cozy pillows - with a bowl of hot soup and a shot of bourbon to clear your sinuses.

Hope you feel better SOON. <3

Shelley, what Paula said...I would be there too...to help with the bourbon... :o I sure hope you feel better soon. You know, I've done that posting booboo, too!! Egads, man!
Paula, hope the No Cravings last forever.
I put together the green bean casserole and the fruit bowl for dinner today. We'll head over to Sara's shortly.
Have a great Thanksgiving, my friends!!

Thanks Paula and Chris. <3 I am so tired of feeling like crap. My daughter and her family are sick now also. We sent over a care meal. Tomorrow is supposed to be in the 50's. I am going for a short walk. Then a nap.

I hope you all had a great holiday.

Shelley - sorry to hear the sickness is going around. I have my turkey carcass in the crockpot as we speak overnight and wow does the house smell good! I'd make you soup if you were closer. I swear by bone broth! And bourbon!

We had a nice Thanksgiving yesterday. I was super excited because Bella came to yoga with me. She's been talking about coming for some time but they always backed out. Was really happy to have Them there yesterday and they really loved it. So I'm hoping this is something that we can enjoy together going forward.

We had a great Thanksgiving. A ton of work on me because Jim is only 2 weeks out from his surgery. But I didn't really mind it to be honest. I looked at it as a workout!

Dinner was fantastic. We are really good at Thanksgiving here.... I enjoyed myself, but did not go overboard at all. So that was good :)

Taking the girls out for some black Friday shopping. We aren't in to going out at the crack of dawn. I'm going to sunrise yoga and then I'm going to pick everybody up by 9. We will shop a little bit and then have lunch. My sister's 6 weeks out of a knee replacement, and my mom can't walk too long on her legs. All about getting into the holiday spirit.

Hope everybody's having a great Thanksgiving weekend! Much love to you all!

Sounds like everyone had a nice holiday. Ours was very nice but quiet at same time. Lots of food but I’m fighting a cold and didn’t eat that much.

Shelley, I haven’t gone back to the gym yet. I don’t know why and I know I need to. I told my BFF I would start after the first of December. It’s hard for me to leave my mom even for a little while. But I know I need to get out.

Wow Karen that all sounds fabulous. So glad Bella went with you.

Kathy get over that cold soon. And go to the gym. I am sure your mom would enjoy a little alone time also.

    Still coughing. :p

Shelley and Kathy...please start feeling better, ladies. Not the season to be sick.
Met w/my trainer yesterday for 60 mins
Got 5.15 miles done this morning in 93 mins. It was really nice out there and there weren't very many people out...very strange for a Saturday.

We went for a little walk yesterday. It was almost 50 and sunny. Beautiful. Today was over cast and snowy. So stayed indoors. Attempted to lift some weights. More stretching than anything else.

Chris I was thinking you could post a side by side comparison photo at the beginning of each month. Of the boys at the same age. It would be fun to see how much they do or don't look alike.

Karen & Paula. We bought a new set of clippers for our cats nails. They are sold at PetSmart and are by Top Paw. But are actually sold for small dogs. They went through her nails like a knife through hot butter. No splintering. Best ever

I know they look almost the same as the ones for cats. And are 9.99 instead of about 5.00. But they are worth it. My husbands cat did not get upset and I did every single one in just a couple minutes.

    Shelley,

Yes! Mine are just like that but black. (The vets sold me a heavy duty pair a long time ago that looked like pliers - they were awful.) This kind is lightweight, easy to maneuver, hook the claw well, and quick to use. They're great!

Just wish my cats were tamer. They plain do not like being fiddled with - period. So if they're napping on my lap, I'll sneak-clip a few (till they notice) then wait for them to forgive me.

Sorry, not a cat person. When the kids were little they kept feeding a kitten that would come over the fence into our backyard. Told them..."Don't feed the cat." Next thing I know they have dragged the long tether ball box onto the back patio, cut a section out of it , tucked in a large towel, water bowl and food bowl and named the kitten Mike!!! Egads, man!! Had him for a long, long time.
We went over to visit the kids and brought back Ronan to play with Grandpa. We'll be taking him home in a bit. He has school in the morning, so I must get my brain ready for a 5:20 a.m. wake-up nudge!!
I did nothing today but put whirly-gigs out front and read!!

It's supposed to rain at the end of the week...we'll see.
