    Introduction
I am from Tulsa, OK and have moved temporarily to Colorado to help my son's girlfriend with her chemo for a rare type of ovarian cancer, small cell. Ony 500 people in the world are known to have this. Emotions have been a roller coaster but we are now in 2nd round of chemo and getting into a rythym. We drive an hour each was and for the next 20 days will be going to the hospital every day. My eating patterns are really off and I'm working to get back to more healthy choices.
On a positive note, I love CO and we are having our second weekend of a Christmas market with fresh breads, brats, desserts, etc literally within one block of me!! There is a beautiful lake a mile from here and I'm starting to walk around it on a regular basis - good for the soul and the body! I'm in a quaint little town that is just darling and this weekend I'm meeting someone to start volunteering at the local animal shelter.
My challenge is binge eating - trying to remind my self to only have healthy items in the house because binging on apples doesn't do the damage of sweets.

I have one dog who is here with me and she is having a lot of fun in the new surroundings.
I've learned I do best when I track daily because it brings awareness of what I eat.
Thanks everyone for sharing about yourselves, I'm enjoying reading everything and welcome to the new people!

It’s wonderful the way you are supporting your son’s girlfriend. Binge eating is my Achilles heel. Learning my triggers has been a big help. Make sure you crave out some me time.

    Steps: 6,412 goal met

I've started deep cleaning the house for Christmas....who needs spring cleaning...lol

Hope everyone one day went well!

Great job on the step goal.

What can we do to help?

Helloeveryone I’m here with my weigh in and a small update.

    Previous weight 219.6
    Current weight 219.6

No change on the scale again. I’m not too worried about this as I’ve had a very difficult week. I’m genuinely happy that I’ve managed to maintained.

Last weekend we had our 2 concerts plus 2 Christmas parties. I got a very bad allergic reaction to some make up and on top of it, I was also allergic to the cream I was given. I struggled all week with a very sore itchy and swollen face. After seeing a doctor and starting a new treatment the swelling is much better now just in time for our karate tournament this morning.

    Steps :

    Sun - 12,617
    Mon - 11,493
    Tues - 15,842
    Weds - 11,143
Thur - 7,322 (was sitting in emergency clinic all day)
    Fri - 9,876
    Sat - coming 🔜

Had our team baseball party last night. I hadn't seen the guys since September and I was wearing a big sweatshirt then. The amount of compliments I got was soooo amazing. They couldn't believe how different I looked. It was so great.
