Good job team!!!
I've been struggling the last few days to stay motivated. This always happens to me after the first few weeks. I know I need to push through it and stay focused. On a positive note I have noticed my step count is getting higher every day. I used to struggle just to get 6,000 steps / day and now I am always over that number. My knees also feel a lot stronger - I can stand and walk for longer periods before they start to hurt.
This weeks step count
Sunday 1/15 - 7672
Monday 1/16 - 9245
Tuesday 1/17 - 9110
Wed 1/18 - 6141
Thurs 1/19 - 9234
Fri 1/20 - 7333
Sat 1/21 - 7206
Total - 55,9417 -
Steps for week:
1/15 9315
1/16 8500
1/17 11,738
1/18 6230
1/19 7496
1/20 8279
1/21 4291
Total: 55,849
Been feeling sick since Wednesday. Awful head cold and extra tired. Plus it's that TOM so my steps were low and I ate a little more than usual so my weight was up on Saturday. But back to eating less calories today and trying to get some steps in even though I still don't feel great.8 -
@Iamafrespirit that's great that your step count is increasing, well done. Little by little, you'll get there.
@Zumba_Luvah I hope you feel much better soon, your doing well.3 -
@Zumba_Luvah - Even with a head cold you still did very well! Rest is just as important as exercise.
My steps have been down quite a bit since the beginning of the year compared to the last couple months of 2022. I had a head cold the first week of the year and had to take a day off. Last Thursday I had the 2nd dose of the singles vaccine and ran a fever all day Friday so had to take another day off. Those 2 weeks when I took a day of rest are the weeks when the scale dropped the most. When I weighed in on my normal day Friday I was only down .1 so, after a day of rest on Friday, I weighed myself again on Saturday and I was down 1.6!4 -

I practiced hard and stayed to goal all weekend. I am hoping for another loss this week but we all know how fickle the scale is. It was a nice weekend all around. Full of family, fun, and work. Even work is fun when you do it with family. Did my food prepping yesterday. So I have set myself up for success. Yeeee Hawww!4

Good work everyone on the steps and weight loss. I gained a little last week and ready to drop a couple of pounds. My doctor decided the last meds were not working and I have one or two options left. She is dragging her feet on getting started but I hope it works when we do start again. It is pill so no more long waits x for infusion appointments. Yay!!!

Sometimes the scale doesn't move as fast as you want it to, but that doesn't mean you are not getting smaller. Two weeks ago, I decided to take measurements to chart my progress in another way. Over the weekend, I measured again, and I've lost a lot of inches in two weeks:
Neck: -.25"
Waist: -4.5"
Hips: -2.25"
Bust: -1.5"
Thighs: -4" (2"x 2 legs)
Arms: -3" (1.5" x 2 arms)
Have any of you taken measurements to chart your progress?6 -

It's been a while since I've taken actual measurements, but I take a progress picture in the same dress every single year. I'll have to post it here when I get around to it again in July.3 -

I keep telling myself that I need to do that. My scale is moving slowly but I can feel the difference in my body and the way my clothes fit me and I think seeing the numbers change will be motivating. I am pledging now that on Wednesday when I do my official weigh in - I will also take measurements.minstrelofsarcasm wrote: »It's been a while since I've taken actual measurements, but I take a progress picture in the same dress every single year. Yes, I plan to do pineapple and papaya as well. I like the idea of drying kale and spinach.2 -
