@Zumba_Luvah - Even with a head cold you still did very well! Rest is just as important as exercise.

My steps have been down quite a bit since the beginning of the year compared to the last couple months of 2022. I had a head cold the first week of the year and had to take a day off. Last Thursday I had the 2nd dose of the singles vaccine and ran a fever all day Friday so had to take another day off. Those 2 weeks when I took a day of rest are the weeks when the scale dropped the most. When I weighed in on my normal day Friday I was only down .1 so, after a day of rest on Friday, I weighed myself again on Saturday and I was down 1.6!

I practiced hard and stayed to goal all weekend. I am hoping for another loss this week but we all know how fickle the scale is. It was a nice weekend all around. Full of family, fun, and work. Even work is fun when you do it with family. Did my food prepping yesterday. So I have set myself up for success. Yeeee Hawww!

Good work everyone on the steps and weight loss. I gained a little last week and ready to drop a couple of pounds. My doctor decided the last meds were not working and I have one or two options left. She is dragging her feet on getting started but I hope it works when we do start again. It is pill so no more long waits x for infusion appointments. Yay!!!

Have any of you taken measurements to chart your progress?

It's been a while since I've taken actual measurements, but I take a progress picture in the same dress every single year. I'll have to post it here when I get around to it again in July.

I keep telling myself that I need to do that. My scale is moving slowly but I can feel the difference in my body and the way my clothes fit me and I think seeing the numbers change will be motivating. I am pledging now that on Wednesday when I do my official weigh in - I will also take measurements.

    I like this idea!

@JessicaVRosati Dehydrated foods are delicious. And I love Mangos. Will you be adding pineapple to your mix as well? I dehydrate kale and spinach. Makes for a nice salty treat.

Yes, I plan to do pineapple and papaya as well. I like the idea of drying kale and spinach.

@buniphuphu - I first measured myself last February, about 5 weeks after I made my lifestyle change. At first I measured myself about every 2 weeks but now I measure about once per month.

Since I started measuring I have lost a total of 36" combined. I only measure bust, waist, hips, thighs, and upper arms. The area where I have "shrunk" the most is my hips, where I've lost 10 inches. It's funny because I seem to lose inches in only one or two of these areas at a time.

Yes, and I will take inches over pounds any day. I know the scale did not move for me last week, but my pants feel a little looser. Just keep doing what you are doing and continue on your weight loss journey.

Sometimes the scale doesn't move as fast as you want it to, but that doesn't mean you are not getting smaller. Two weeks ago, I decided to take measurements to chart my progress in another way. Over the weekend, I measured again, and I've lost a lot of inches in two weeks:

    Neck: -.25"
    Waist: -4.5"
    Hips: -2.25"
    Bust: -1.5"
    Thighs: -4" (2"x 2 legs)
    Arms: -3" (1.5" x 2 arms)

Have any of you taken measurements to chart your progress?

I use the MeThreeSixy app which compares for you. I love it!

I hadn't been able to get ahold of my dad all day yesterday. So I went over there after work. He was fine. After some time searching thru his flip phone I found that his shaky fingers had somehow blocked me. We laughed. His new dog is settling in to her new home. In pure Dad form, he says "lets order pizza". He wasn't hungry but he didn't want me to be either. The new and improved cyndie said "I had a granola bar on the way here so I'm not really hungry."
Woe Wait What??? No to pizza? The new Cyndie is showing!!

I'm glad I'm not the only one whose dad still uses a flip phone. :)

@cyndiesstuff so glad your Dad is okay. Just the phone is a good thing.
