Can you tell which days I went to the gym without me telling you above 😂 It is definitely easier for me to get more steps when it's light when I come home from work and can walk outside. Here is to attempting more steps this week!
I tried to click on the stride kick link, but it said webpage not available. I will try again in a bit.3 -

A good reminder.
Love this! This is exactly my motivation - to be able to hike, travel, and do things with my family for decades to come. Congrats!!4 -

Super surprised to see a loss this week. I guess I need to give myself more credit than I have been!3 -
Happy Friday, Friends!
This week seems to have flown by. I seem to have gone a bit overboard with work resulting in me feeling totally exhausted yesterday. Today has been better and I won't be working this weekend at all (I often sneak in a couple of hours as I'm paranoid about getting everything done).
But tomorrow I shall be driving down to London to spend the weekend with my mother. Two of my brothers are also visiting and we are going out to dinner to celebrate my sister-in-law's birthday.
Looking forward to it.
And because I will be driving home on Sunday, I will just chillax when I get home. All in all guaranteeing me a work-free weekend. And I definitely need it!
@IDebraK The wedding outfit that your daughter picked out for you looks gorgeous.
Wow @DianaGetsFit512 36 crunches before bed - very impressive!
Super photo of you and Brad @ashleycarole86 ! The first thing that I saw of this picture when I was scrolling was that magnificent azure sky. Gorgeous - makes me long for brighter days, for sure.
EDIT-I forgot to post this!

We were more awesome than we thought this past week! Well done!
As always, I'm more impressed by winning because of a whole bunch of small losses than by a few really big losers. What a team! We even managed to offset @ashleycarole86 's vacation bonus! We'll make her return the favour after she gets back, eh? It is so good to see you having such a fabulous time, though, Ashley - and I'm sure Brad @bowens1973 is having a great time too! You can do this stuff now
Hats off to our top losers this week -
@conleywoods @DD265 and @MoonlitMuse Keep going! You're building that tomorrow person.5 -

Working on recording, weighing in, low carbs, healthier choices. Only one moscow mule this week. That was my cheat.4 -
I hope everybody had a good weekend!
Poor OH ended up doing a 15 hour shift over Friday night - he was due to finish at 3, but it was 6.15 before he got home. It was one thing after another during his shift, then he took a colleague back to their car and as he was nearly home, one of his tyres blew out. Luckily he and the car (minus said tyre) are fine. While he was sleeping I got a couple of hours in at the allotment on Saturday afternoon, potting my garlic (the beds aren't ready for it) and planting the snowdrops and we met Mom for tea. I had a peri peri chicken burger which was lovely - might find a recipe for one of those!
Yesterday OH was going out with friends so he took my car all day and we both forgot that my allotment stuff was in the boot! I did go down to the allotment anyway, had a nice chat with another plot holder and we reckon there are now 4 vacant plots which is a shame - hopefully people will take them on and get stuck in soon. After that I went on a good 2 hour walk with my friend and her dogs; really enjoyed catching up and some of those hills were great exercise. We are going for a walk/run on Wednesday morning.
Today my car is in the garage, and I have a chiropractor appointment after work. The weather is lovely but very cold, so I think I might be glad to be stuck at my desk.4 -

Well, I thought maybe because I’ve been getting extra steps in my body might want a few more calories, so I added 100 a day - guess that’s not what it wanted. Back to the drawing board.5 -
Congratulations team!! Excellent week and first place! You rocked! I wish I could have contributed - but next week for sure.2

Weekend wasn't great, but wasn't horrible either. This week is going to be really good...
Made salads for lunch this week, I like a lot of stuff in my salads, so it's Romaine, Spinach, celery, red pepper, cucumber, carrot, red cabbage, broccoli, radishes and turnip. (I really need to invest in something that will chop all this up for me quicker than I do it, it took me 2 hours to clean and chop all that stuff into tiny little pieces, lol) I put everything in its own separate container, and then throw the salad together in the morning.
My toppings are sunflower seeds, hemp seed and crispy red pepper. Then I make a spicy ranch dressing, I start with some Hidden valley light ranch, add minced fresh cilantro, habanero sauce, smoked paprika and some water to thin it all out, so all in all in a week I only use about 3 ounces of actual ranch dressing. It's a very yummy dressing with a kick...
My hubby and I went to Valley view farms this weekend, it's a nursery. I got some nice plants, I think my favorite are the Calathea's they move to the light, and it just fascinates me. I am new to houseplants, but I really enjoy it, I didn't use to, but I think as I've gotten older, I have more time and patience for it. The only problem, I'm having is I have so many plants now, and the best place for them is my den, but that's where all my books are... The humidity I need for the plants, is not good for my books... So, this could become a problem... I am going to need to take over another room of the house I suppose.
Hope you have a great day !

Monday must be gardening day! I'm totally amazed that you can work in your allotment in the winter @DD265 . I'll be lucky to be able to get into my garden before the middle to end of April, and then it is so muddy for a while I have to keep away until it dries up enough to till. I have never planted anything earlier than the 2nd week of May, and that can be a bit iffy, even for cool-loving veggies. The gardening part of me is living vicariously through you right now!
And @Gidgitgoescrzy - houseplants! They are a pain sometimes, but so beautiful. I don't have very many, but sometimes wish I did. There's a lovely app called Planta that helps you not kill them, if you have that tendency My daughter has the world's blackest thumb, but actually has some thriving houseplants now that she uses that app. I'm not sure if there is a companion app called Booka, though...
I had some good non-zero moments today. I did a workout I really did not want to do (not sure where my mojo has gone these days), walked past the cheese bread to save "tomorrow me" from that. I have also been working on a document with a friend - it is heavy going and I am not much in the mood, but it is going well. It needed a lot of re-structuring, and once that was done, I think it will flow better and make more sense to the government people it is intended to reach. Gotta get back to that now...4 -
@DD265 sounds like your OH is having a hard time with working 15 hour shifts and tyre blowouts!
