HOW IT ALL WORKS: The February challenge runs from January 29 - Feb 25. F2F months always start on a Sunday and end on a Saturday, so adjust your calendars!
Everyone weighs in weekly on their chosen day right here in the team chat thread. At the end of each week, the tallies are done to determine the team and individuals with the most weight lost. The best losers are announced with full fanfare every Sunday. The team competition is all in good spirits - may the most losing win!
We also celebrate those small, steady losses. If you lose, however small an amount, you are in the green! At the end of the month, we celebrate everyone who lost at least a bit every week. You are heading steadily towards your goal even if you aren't at the top of the weight loss leaderboard.
To make your weigh-in easy to find for your team Captains, please put it right at the top of a message, and use this format:
Weigh In Day:
PW (Previous Weight):
CW (Current Weight):
If you miss two weigh-ins in a row without asking for a break, you will be dropped from the team, so be sure to inform your team captain if you are traveling, sick, or just need some time off. If you take a break, you can be excused for a week or two, or are moved to the Support Team for as long as you need to. You still participate in the discussions, you can weigh in if you want to, but it will not count in the weekly tally.
Once you reach your goal weight, you join the Goal Zone! You continue to weigh in every week. If you have 2 weeks above your self-defined goal zone, you go back to the regular team to lose that amount before it builds up. You will have a chance to hone those maintenance skills and stick with your team!
In addition to your own team, there are weekly F2F Full Group CHALLENGES. You can do all or none - it's up to you. Participating adds a lot to your success, so we hope to see you there often! These can involve anything fitness, health, or nutrition - and they’ll get you moving, thinking, and learning about this journey. Check the Announcements section for full group challenges.
Let’s show our fellow challengers some F2F love! Introduce yourselves right away, and let the new month begin!!

Hello to my favorite group! I’m Shauna, a 39 year old Okie. I live for hiking and have recently started kayaking as well!!! I’m newly divorced and beyond excited about that….now living back in my childhood home with my mom and two nieces. My son(18) occasionally graces us with his presence and my daughter(21) lives about 3 miles away but usually stops in daily to steal my clothes, raid the fridge, or pick me up for the gym! I will mention my family a lot because I have 2 brothers and a sister and two of those have blessed me with 18 nieces and nephews! I love my family so much and several of us are on this health journey together right now!
I’m ramping up my goals to get as close to goal weight as I possibly can by my birthday, May 6th I’ll be the big 40!!!!
Right now I’m …..
💟 Working out at least 6 days a week. Somedays that’s just a leisurely stroll or recovery/stretching workout!
💟 Trying my best to close all watch rings everyday!
💟Aiming for 14 cups of water!
💟 Walking 10,000 + steps a day!
💟 Eating Whole Foods and low carbs. Avoiding bread and sugar 90% of the time.
💟 Can’t forget absolutely NO ZERO DAYS! I’ve almost made it through January without a single one!!! 🎉
In February I’ll add in….
✴️ Logging all food and drinks!
✴️ Keep up with the daily check in and exercise challenge on my Fb group!
✴️ Run 4 times!
✴️ Go swimming once!
✴️ Get out of state to hike!
✴️ Craft twice!
✴️ Read a book!
✴️ Visit an art museum.
✴️ Attend a concert/listen to live music!
✴️ Have a movie night!
I love love you all and hope I inspire someone the way you all have inspired me!!!! 💞💞💞 Let’s all have an amazing NO ZERO FABULOUS FEBRUARY!!!! 💖5 -
@shaunarlr1983 that you for the warm welcome! I love hiking too.
Hello everyone! This is my 2nd time on MFP. Last time I was here under the name (Raquelfit2) and participated on this team. So now, I'm "Brigit."
I'm in my early 50's, happily married with a fur baby who is very spoiled. She's a rescue so we're limited with places we take her. She can't be around other dogs but is great going shopping! Today, we're bringing her to Bed, Bath and Beyond since she seems to enjoy riding in the cart.
Over the years, I've had many different jobs. Right now, I'm a Stay-At-Home -Dog Mom which seems to be the best lifestyle for myself and my family.
Looking forward to providing support to all my team members!3 -
Hi everyone! A big welcome to the new team members, and welcome back to the returning members, I am so glad you are here!

If you have any changes to your weigh-in day or reported weights, be sure to tag @BroncoBuddee who handles all of that stuff.
LET'S GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER
Please share a little bit about you: your name, where you live, and what brought you to the Fat2Fit Challenge Group. Also share anything else you would like to, including any goals for the year. We are here to support and cheer you as you go through your weight loss adventure!
MY INTRODUCTION
Hi everyone. My name is Chris. I live in Southern California with my husband and cute one-eyed pirate pug. Up until my mid-20s, I was a healthy weight but then the mid-20s hit and along with that came medications that made me gain weight as well as poor lifestyle choices. I use the Healthi app. I have about 65 lbs to lose. For exercise, I like to lift weights on our Tonal home gym, walk and talk with friends, as well as hike but I don't hike much anymore.
Now, it's your turn! Tell us about YOU!3 -
****** FOR THOSE THAT ARE NEW OR NEED A REFRESHER ******
I invite you to join me on a quest for a NO ZERO DAYS 2023! What is No Zero Days? There are 4 simple ideas behind this:
There are no more zero days. A zero day is when you don’t do anything towards your goals. But that doesn’t mean you have to go full-throttle on your goals each day, no, just do something small if you have to, do a single push-up, walk to the mailbox, drink one less soda…anything not to report a zero day. Do one thing to make your life better each day.
Be grateful to the 3 YOUs: the past you, the present you, and the future you! Be GRATEFUL to the past you for the positive things you’ve done. Did you do that push-up yesterday? THANK YOU YOUNGER ME. Second part of the 3 me’s is you gotta do your future self a favor, just like you would for your best friend. Tired and can’t get off reddit/videogames/interwebs? This one’s for future me, i’m gonna rock out p90x Ab Ripper X for 17 minutes. I’m doing this one for future me. Alarm clock goes off and bed is too comfy? This one’s for my best friend, the future me. I’m up and going for a 5 km run (or 25 meter run, it’s gotta be non zero). MAKE SURE YOU THANK YOUR OLD SELF for rocking out at the end of every.single.thing. that makes your life better. The cycle of doing something for someone else (future you) and thanking someone for the good in your life (past you) is key to building gratitude and productivity.
FORGIVE YOURSELF. Tried your best to have a nonzero day yesterday and it failed? so what. I forgive you previous self. I forgive you. But today? Today is a nonzero masterpiece to the best of my ability for future self.
Exercise and books: exercise is self-explanatory but the books, read a self-improvement book…reading gets you to the next level!
Here’s more detailed information and where I got the above info:

@shaunarlr83 Thanks! That's awesome that people are noticing the difference in your happiness. Great job with the gym! So many deaths, I'm so sorry, so sad. That's a fun story about your family's recipe for hot corn, I've never heard of it before! Ooh good luck with your interview, I'm so excited for you! I'll be sending good vibes your way all weekend. Great Feb goals, go get it!!!
@Cornanda Woo hoo! Congrats!!! And congrats on your new 7 month old. He's so cute. That's good he was more potty trained than advertised--- Daisy was NOT potty trained other than going on pee pads. We are still working on breaking her of that but at least she goes on the pads instead of the floor. I'm sure he's good at his job lol, Gus is a great name!
@Brigit42 Welcome back! I do remember you! It's good to "see" you. You've got this! My last dog (who was also a rescue) couldn't be around other dogs OR people. It was challenging. I'm glad you can bring her shopping!
@sleepygirl79 Hi! Yes, we are a very friendly bunch and I'm glad you joined us! First, I would suggest you have a chat with your doctor to see why your body isn't good with lettuce and other veggies. Maybe something is going on. That said, maybe introduce them slowly?
@vegan4lyfe2012 Yeah I get it about the overeating, same here. Interesting that happened to you as well on Better Balance. I may try Conquer Cravings if I have another negative week. Thank you! You are so creative and kind, I love your generosity! Great job with the no zeros. For the activity, what would you think about lowering your goal to "at least 10 mins a day"?
I've been weighing daily now for a few weeks and this morning, I am at my lowest weight that I've been since Sept 2021. I hope the weight continues to go down daily but I know it will fluctuate. I did NOT want to exercise yesterday but I did: I did a 15 min disco aerobics workout. It's not much but it is something for my health! This afternoon, my best friend who lives in Colorado, is going to do another disco aerobic workout with me over Zoom. It should be fun!
MY NO-ZERO DAY WIN FROM YESTERDAY: I did a disco aerobic workout, drank 109.8 oz water, and tracked everything.
My phrase for the year: "Every choice is another chance to change my health for the better."3 -
Welcome @sleepygirl79 @txcritter69 @OliviaGarciaSmith
Welcome back @Brigit42
A little about me. I’m 52 and moved with my hubby to San Antonio from Minnesota in 2021. I have 3 adult children (twin girls and a step-son) and 2 grandchildren in MN. Currently in nursing school full time and working part time in the ER as an ER Tech. (second career!!) I joined this group at the end of December and have enjoyed so many recipe ideas, inspiration and encouragement from everyone! My goal this year is to not only get to my goal weight(142) but MAINTAIN. So many times I lose some weight and then gain it all back. Drinking water and incorporating more vegetables into my diet has been key - habits that I believe will help me maintain once I get there.
Looking forward to a great February with y’all!!
Laurie

Hello team!
A little about me: I'm 67, and I work part-time as a bookkeeper in a plastics factory. My hours are part-time, but I'm still doing everything that I did when I worked full time! That's the agreement that I have with my boss - that I can work just 3 days a week, as long as I get it all done, and I still get my full time pay. January was my first try at it, and I think January is probably the toughest month with all the payroll taxes that are due. I got it all done, so I think I'm good to work a 3-day week all year.
I have been at my goal weight of 130 since March of 2019. On previous weight loss adventures, I would reach my goal weight but couldn't manage the maintenance. I've been managing the maintenance this time, with a goal range of 127-133. Right now I'm at 127. 133 is my scream weight.
I live in Dover New Hampshire with my long time boyfriend Rich and my cat Earl. Earl is my profile picture. My hobbies are bird watching, bicycling, and crochet. Also knitting, but I prefer crochet. I'm doing some research on family genealogy, and I try to do at least one online course per month to study something new that interests me. I also seem to always be in some phase of decluttering or reorganization. My life got upended when Rich moved in with me; he's a collector. We have managed to merge our stuff without exchanging blows or cuss words. Now it's just a manner of stemming the tide of inflowing clutter that comes from living with a collector.
I absolutely love the Three Me philosphy that Trooworld posted. I like the whole No Zero Days concept, but the Three Me philosophy is what really resonates with me. Present Me takes a moment to be grateful to Past Me for something specific, then pay it forward by doing something to help Future Me. I love it!
-Mica4 -
@OliviaGarciaSmith - I’m so sorry I excluded you from the welcome! You were announced after I already moved from the January post! I hope you love it here!!
@trooworld - I too am at my lowest since Sep of ‘21 lol funny and if I remember right we are pretty close in current and goal weights! Strength training is really helping me out. I’m noticing huge changes! Great job doing that workout especially when you didn’t wanna!
@lrjogger1 - I wasn’t looking too hard for anything in the healthcare direction so if you mentioned being an ER tech before then I totally missed it. Honestly didn’t even realize what that was until my daughter mentioned it 😂 I’m real hopeful I get the job. If I do you might have to send me encouraging words on how to deal with people 😆😅 My daughter is much thicker skinned than I am and I thought being in admitting for the ER was perfect for her but I’ve seen her break down at work after dealing with difficult people. I’m fully aware of what I’m walking into just might need some tips and pointers! Our goals are similar!!! I’m going to push super hard to get close to mine before summer. I’ve done it before and know I can do it again with consistency!
@micaroo4 - that’s awesome that you were able to get all of that work done and will have some extra days to yourself!
✴️ I forgot to add in that I wanted to start listing my no zero wins also.
My daughter and I did indeed make it hiking, I picked a super short trail bc she did have to work afterwards and I know she didn’t sleep well so I was surprised when I told her we were done we needed to turn around and she wanted to go adventuring instead! ☺️The picture is a view that we would have missed had we turned around… it was really windy and chilly so not the best hiking conditions but I’m still glad we did it. I helped her hang curtains at her apartment and then I waited for my nieces to get home from school. Mom was out and about so us 3 started a very light and easy weight training routine. My, will be 8 tomorrow niece only used 2 lb dumbbells and I gave the 10 year old 3 lbers. They were begging for heavier weights but I wanted to show them form first! I challenged them to 5 moves a day and only 10 reps to start. I also gave them each one of my hiking bottles. They hold almost 40 oz and I told them to try to empty each bottle everyday. Is this too much for kids this age???? I know I’ve seen them go get several cups of water to drink and they don’t usually leave drinks sitting around untouched but my mom seemed a bit concerned bc the youngest has just recently stopped bed wetting, something we know stemmed from the abuse. I gave them goal lines to hit by certain times of the day and told them to have most of it drank by the end of dinner and leave a sip or two for after brushing their teeth before bed. 🤷🏼♀️ Maybe I overestimated.
I finally brought in my crafting supplies and got started on some of the sunflower decor my daughter wants for her bathroom. I tried to break into decoupaging last year but didn’t do much besides buy an abundance of supplies. I prepped several things but put it all away before she got there at midnight to change for the gym. I decided I want to surprise her with the stuff.
She had made up a huge set list for the gym but it was several fun moves. We managed all but one and got it done in just under an hour. Working out often gives me a boost of energy so I took a hot bath and did my nails before finally going to bed at almost 4:30. I was back up at 8 to run errands with my mom and sister. I’m really hoping for something fun to do tonight. Tomorrow is my nieces birthday and I think I’m might skip the cake and ice cream until after my weigh in Monday. If I’m able to resist I’ll probably just skip it entirely! I will check back in this evening with my no zero list!!! Have a great weekend everyone!3 -
Congrats to all those who had a loss, maintained and stuck in there this week.
Welcome Brigit, Txcritter, Olivia, Sleepygirl,
👋🏻 Hi, I’m a 46 year old mom of 3 (2 adults and 1 teen). I’m from the midwest, currently abroad. This is my 2nd time using MFP to lose weight. 7 years ago I was here and lost 70+lbs prior to surgery. That surgery was a disaster due to medical errors made (malpractice) and now I have put some weight back on. So to work on feeling better, here I am.
Current goals
🔸64oz water+
🔸closing my activity rings
🔸me time daily
🔸food tracking
🔸no bread/wheat
🔸1 bag/week to charity
February goals (+previous)
🔹30 min bike
🔹weekly meal prep
🔹journaling
Today is my MFP return 1 month anniversary. I have lost 11.8 lbs this past month. I am so proud of my choosing my health over my cravings. I cut the breads, I lessened the sugar, I found ways to enjoy my meals and snacks without overdoing it, all while not feeling like I’m hungry. Upping my protein and veggies has helped tremendously. Measuring and weighing most things has been a blessing. I also lessened my dairy intake. I love Alpro barista coconut milk for my coffee now. I also cut my caffeine down to just a shot as a treat instead of multiple mugs.
My no zeros this week, got water in, made time for myself, kept moving in between my youngest being sick, organized another dresser, I’m adding the ironing of a mountain of sheets! Because they were waiting for ages. And I survived have a sick lil chicken (my youngest) after sleepless nights. Yay for naps!
@shaunarlr83 your posts make me happy. I’m happy for you. You’re doing great and you inspire us all.
@Brigit42 how fun to take your dog shopping. My 3 rescue girls are too big for a shopping cart, but they love walks and camping. We 2 like the car trips bit one gets car sick, so she gets other fun play time.
@trooworld I didn’t realize so many of us have furry friends. A pirate pug must be the best. I’m enquiring on two hamsters up for adoption, one is missing an ear and another a leg. I hope I get them. I have hamster palaces and they would likely love them.
Congrats on reaching your lowest weight since Sept 21 and getting that water in.
@lrjogger1 how great to start a second career. A nurse at that. Amazing! I have so much respect for nurses. I had some amazing ladies when I was hospitalized and I will forever be grateful to them and keep them in my prayers.
@micaroo4 a 3 day work week sounds great. I am with you on the constant state of decluttering and my husband likes to hold onto things, everything! We’re about yo declutter his cave. I’ll be back to let you all know if we both survive that. 😂

Hi all!
My name is Tammy and I hail from Ontario Canada. I am 55 and a nurse. I have 2 grown boys and 2 amazing grandchildren. I divorced after 23 yrs of marriage and am now remarried to an amazing man who treats me like a princess and partner. I had never had that. It was during my first marriage that I began self medicating with food. The more he emotionally abused me the more I ate. He hated fat people and no mater how I tried I always went with the food for comfort rather than lose weight like he demanded. I got out when my boys were grown and done high school.
Now I am so much happier. My hubby loves me for me and supports me in every way. We are two peas in a pod. Though he is very slender to my fluffy lol. He is a chef which makes it hard sometimes cuz he loves to experiment.
I was on here once before with this amazing group and lost quite a bit. Then life happened and craziness ensued and all my bad habits started to return. With Sean’s encouragement here I am and am happy to be getting on the right track again. He is even cooking different so as to help me.
My goals are modest
Do 6000 steps daily ( I will get to 10000)
Drink 2 litres of water daily
Have zero days
Log daily and stay within my calorie goal
Look in the mirror daily and tell myself I love me.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend and looking forward to February!

Hi team, I'm Kathy and I'm the Mission Slimpossibles motivator with @trooworld and @broncobuddee as team captains. I'm 51 and live right outside Sacramento in CA with my two cats. I've been part of this team for just under 4 years now and think of you all as part of my family. I have multiple health issues which are mostly in check with diet and exercise aside of my pain which I'm currently waiting to get through the preliminaries to get a spinal cord stimulator trial done so I can see if a permanent one will help. I do chair cardio, strength training, and stretching most days to keep my mobility as strong as possible. I also eat pretty healthy as I have diabetes and am no longer on medication and want it to stay that way. I do some part-time work for my brother, am on the board of a local charity, and volunteer at the food bank farm. If I'm not in my yard at home gardening or at the food bank farm my nose is probably in a book or in front of my Kindle or reading about gardening like I'll do after I post this! I spend a lot of time with my family plus have a boyfriend who lives two hours from me I see about every other week. I also enjoy cooking and watching TV or going to the movies.
Let's have a wonderful February!5 -
@DrewsAnna That's disappointing about FitOn, it sounds like it's changed since I've used it (been a few years). It used to just be organized programs cost but the workouts were free. Great job on the losses! Having the coffee pot ready is awesome, isn't it?!
@AmbersWay Telehealth is just video or telephone calls with doctors, my old phone couldn't handle the videos so I'm down as having the calls only which is nice. This doctor was super fast and on time which I really appreciate, my doctor may call within a few hours so it takes up the whole day! I love that you're making now a time to consciously move on with life, I definitely get that! Happy month anniversary, that's an awesome loss to be celebrating it with!
@trooworld It's up to you on removing the paper, I did it so the plants could spread out more but you don't have to. That's an awesome loss! I missed the panic attack, I'm so sorry to hear you went through that, I'm so glad you're feeling better. Way to go on your No Zeros, you're doing amazing! I bet disco aerobics put you in a great mood! Have a wonderful time with your best friend, what a fun thing to do together!
@Brigit42 Welcome back to Slimpossibles! I remember you, I didn't at first until I read the old name for obvious reasons! I'm happy you came back to us but sad about you gaining it back, I know it's hard and you're in the right place. Hope you and your pup have fun shopping!
@shaunarlr83 That's awesome you shook the energy drinks! The napping makes sense, you're too busy making good memories these days with family and are enjoying life now, I'm so happy you're in a better place. I hope you take a lot of photos at the Chulily museum! Have you been to the Seattle one? I have a bunch of pictures from there, it was really fun. Good luck with your interview Monday, praying and sending good vibes your way! I absolutely love your list of things you're doing, that's incredible! Your hiking areas are so pretty!
@Cornanda Haha a pup that loves belly rubs and is potty trained sounds great! Interesting combination of breeds, he sounds smart and adorable! He was rehomed so you and your husband could discover him because he sounds perfect for you.
@GabiV125 That's not a bad gain for all the celebrations! It's sunny here and has been the last few days or I'd offer to share!
@txcritter69 Welcome to Slimpossibles!
@sleepygirl79 Squeee that 8-pod hydroponic system sounds awesome! I've never done chives in it, my friend did lettuce and it went real well and I think spinach would too. I'll have to look into making my own milks more, I usually buy almond milk when I'm going through an oatmeal kick but have started trying different nut milk creamers again so it may be worthwhile now. I remember when my friend started she was taking about recipes for the leftovers, I'm sure you could make some awesome bread with it. Thank you for the bean recommendations, it's on my wishlist on my phone now! I'll keep an eye out for a happy note, have fun making them!
@micaroo4 Oh no, I'm sorry to hear of the insomnia! You got a great workout in, I hope your yarn surprises you and comes early.
@OliviaGarciaSmith Welcome to Slimpossibles!
Thank you @Micaroo4, you are amazing and have done well too!
@TammyMcCrady6278 It's great to see you! I'm glad you're almost back to your regular schedule. Hey if you're fighting the urge to munch then hopefully you're succeeding, right? You and your husband sound amazing together, I'm so glad you found each other.
@lrjogger1 I think your February will be wonderful!Keeping the weight off after losing is definitely a challenge but you sound like your habits will help a lot. I can ramble for days about this one but I think since you're doing the long-term work it should help quite a bit.
NO Zero Days
had a good workout (cardio, lower body, stretching)
ate healthy and managed to do well with going out to eat

Let me intro myself. I am a 44 year old mother to 2 boys (14 & 8). Been married for 15 years. I live in Manitoba Canada and am a Speech Pathologist. I’ve struggled with weight since my first born and have tried to lose the weight but have never stuck to it. Recently, I have been at an all time high with my weight and find my ‘big girl’ clothes snug. I definitely had a while of not caring what I ate. I suffer from IBS so need to be careful with the foods I eat and find high fiber foods like vegetables, the worst. I want to do this challenge to get back down to a weight where I feel good about myself. I’m hoping you all will keep me motivated and accountable as that’s been my weakness. Thanks for all the welcomes!5

Good morning everybody!

Whooo- it's busy over here already! I'm gonna paste this from the old chat and then read all these...... Not gonna let MFP make my stuff disappear!
@shaunarlr83 - {{JOB VIBES}} - Best wishes to you girl!
@Brigit42 - I remember you! Welcome back!
@GabiV125 - Happy Birthday! Sounds like you managed your celebrations very well.
@sleepygirl79 - Welcome!
@vegan4lyfe2012 - You are doing so great at sticking to your goals in spite of lots of stress. Hope you got some stamping in this weekend.
@micaroo4 - Insomnia sucks. Hope you got some rest over the weekend. What are you crocheting?
@tammymccrady6278 - You are doing great! I also started working on letting the snack urge pass by. It's a tough one.4 -
Loving all the excitement on here!
I'm Lisa, married for a long time to a sweet man. 2 adultish kids, 21 and 23. The 23 year old lives with us and the other is away at school. Sweet new furbaby. Struggled with weight since my 20s. Is more challenging to get it off at this "Mature" age. Love this group- been here awhile.
I'm feeling like I don't have all my stuff together, and I'm not putting in the full effort to get all the way back on the wagon. I really need to make time for future me!
Lisa4 -
@Katmary71 and @Cornanda it's so nice to be remembered!
I remember both of you as well!
It's hard for me to stay motivated. The scale wasn't moving and I just got lazy. But without this group the scale moved but the wrong way.
At this age, I need accountability and this group is so supportive.
So glad to be back!3 -

@tammymccrady6278 @digger61 @megnolia82 Congrats on your losses! WTG!
@shaunarlr83 That's cool that we are close to each other's weight. I think strength training is really helping me, too. The things we see when we don't stop looking, what a beautiful area, you really make me want to get out there and hike! That's cool that your whole family seems like they are getting into health/fitness now, even your nieces! I don't know if that is too much or not? That's great you started your crafting projects, I hope you will share them when you are done! Your no zero wins: you are amazing! I can't believe you went to the gym at 1:30am! Get it, girl!
@AmbersWay Happy 1-month anniversary! You are doing fantastic. You SHOULD be proud! I love my little pirate pug, she's the sweetest thing. I hope you get your hamsters, you sound like the perfect hamster parent! They would be spoiled! Thank you! Congrats on the loss! I have a Renpho scale, too, I love it!
@Katmary71 Okay, good to know. I'll think about it. Thanks! And thanks about the panic attack. I don't get anxiety attacks very often, but they can be pretty debilitating when I do. Yes, I was laughing at my lack of coordination lol. Great job with your no zeros!
@sleepygirl79 Welcome to the team!!! I'm glad you joined.
@19shmoo69 Good morning! Your intro is short but sweet and caffeinated! LOL
@OliviaGarciaSmith Good morning and welcome to the team!!! I hope you have an amazing day.
Hi all. Well, yesterday is a blur. I was so busy running around. Then, remember how I was supposed to do that fun disco workout via Zoom with my best friend? Well, she wasn't feeling well so we rescheduled until next weekend. I SHOULD have worked out but I didn't, in fact, last night, DH and I went for a cheeseburger and a beer and split some fries. But that's okay because up until that point, I had only eaten something like 400 cals for the day so I needed those calories. Today, I am going to work out and then go for a walk later with my DH if it doesn't rain.
MY NO-ZERO DAY WIN FROM YESTERDAY: I drank 67.6 oz water (not my usual of late but better than it was a few weeks ago!), stopped eating dinner when I was beginning to get full, and tracked everything.
My phrase for the year: "Every choice is another chance to change my health for the better."1 -
Morning all! Just on my way to bed with only one more night shift to go. Yippee! I miss my time with the hubby and the routine of being on days. Thank you everyone for all the encouragement and support. It really means a lot. I have caught up on all the posts now and I love how we reintroduced ourselves. I get to see where everyone is from and find that no matter where in the world we are we all have common goals.
I didn’t get my steps all in last night but drank my water, didn’t snack and I feel good about myself as a result. We’ll have a great day. I’m off the sleep land.4 -

@Cornanda - Lisa, I'm currently working on a baby afghan for a coworker when his baby is born in May. Since I'm waiting for more yarn to arrive to finish it, I'm using the leftover yarn in other colors to make a hat or two. And then I'm going to make a stuffed toy, one of my "flat cat" toys for the baby. It won't match the afghan; it will have lots of bright colors. The afghan is more neutral

Hello everyone and thank you for the warm welcome.
I am here because over the last yr. I have had many struggles that derailed me and I completely went on a self sabotage of all my hard work. I am looking for a place to help put me back on track, help motivate me and hold me accountable for what I do.
I am looking forward to getting to know everyone and making friends with each of you.3 -
Hello my SlimPeeps! My name is Jennifer and I am a 49 year old single mom of 3 adult children. I live in beautiful Southwest Michigan, right across the Lake from Chicago. My son, Marcus, is 27 and in the Navy. He and his wife are going to give me my first grandDAUGHTER in April. My oldest daughter, Sydney, is 25 and lives about 45 minutes south of me. My youngest daughter, Hunter, is 22 and about 30 minutes south of me. She and her hubby are going to give me my first grandSON in June. I am enjoying my quiet time with my sweet American Blue rabbit (her name is Kismet). I love to rubber stamp (I’m a Stampin’ Up demo) and make cards. I'm an active member of my church (Board member), and also love horror movies. I have worked in Community Development at my County for almost 18 years. I’m trying to break free of my food addictions and self-sabotage. This month I will be celebrating my 11 year veganversary.
Creating cards is one way that I keep my hands busy and snack-free. If you’d like me to send you a random card, just send me a friend request. After I accept the friend request, then we can private message so I can get your name and mailing address. (Permission previously received for this.) To my other peeps on here that have already allowed me to send cards to, thank you! Tomorrow I’ll be dropping some cards off at the post office
I am so super excited to have been in the green for the entire month of January! Feeling great making proper food choices and just feeling really motivated. I am doing all I can to make this continue! I’ve decided on a new 2023 Mantra…NO WISHES! Because I’m not just going to settle for wishing for success…I’m going to make it happen!
No Zero Days logging:
1. Cook bean/grain:
2. Weigh all food:
3. Log all food:
4. 15 minutes activity:
5. Stop eating when pleasantly full:
2023 Mantra: NO WISHES!

@Cornanda – What a great name! Gus is perfect! And boy oh boy have I ever! I have made almost 20 cards already! Get back on your wagon!
@shaunarlr83 – I’m not sure the crafting knowledge would come back – we’re talking 35 years ago! Ha! I love all your new February goals and I can feel your excitement! Thank you! I’m so glad you are such a great role model for your nieces. I know you were apprehensive when they first came to live with you, but I think it’s definitely the best thing for them right now. And what a beautiful view during your exploring!
@Brigit42 – I’m so glad you’re back! Wish I could take my rabbit on shopping trips. Poor thing would be traumatized, tho!
@trooworld – I’m thinking you may be on to something. To go from such a sedentary life to 30 minutes each day may be a little much for me. Sounds terrible in my mind, though, because anything less that that seems unimportant in my mind. I will update it to 15 minutes. Maybe when the snow and ice is gone, then I’ll want to get out more. How awesome that you hit the lowest weight in this journey! So exciting!
@micaroo4 – Awesome job balancing your job hours with the work!
@AmbersWay – Awesome job on your January weight loss! That is incredible!
@Katmary71 – I think your response to @sleepygirl79 was meant for me tee hee hee I’ll check on bread recipes for the almond pulp. That sounds super yummy! So far, the only thing I’ve found has been to throw it into a smoothie. And for the hydroponic thing, I bought the seeds yesterday and decided to go with Grand Rapids Lettuce (because Grand Rapids is “local” to me), basil and spinach. I don’t think I’d be able to keep up with using chives.
@sleepygirl79 – Those darn children always mess with our bodies! But seriously, glad you’re here with us!
@19shmoo69 – Hahahaha! Loose leaf coffee! I love your sense of humor! Good morning and enjoy your caffeine!
