Official self logs show I’m down 12.2 lbs last month alone and 16.25 overall inches! I wouldn’t believe those measurements if I wasn’t wearing a pair of 29 waist jeans with no muffin top today!
Biggest areas of loss were my waist and butt/thigh area. Little hard to see in pics but you can tell if you pay attention to my hand down by my thigh. So excited that I lost everywhere! Even my calves!!! I believe I owe that thank you to my daughter for getting me in the gym and challenging me to lift heavy!!! Finally getting my eating habits back under control was a major contributor to seeing that scale move!!!
Oh and these first hiking pics are blurry bc I had to zoom in to crop them BUT left was in skinny jeans that barely buttoned and right are in a pair that are entirely too big for me but I wore them bc I had thick fleece lined tights on underneath. Both jeans are the same size just different material.

@shaunarlr83 - these kind of nspiring stories are the very reason I've come back here after a 2+ year break! So awesome! I'm most excited about the credit given to "lift heavy." I'll be going to the gym tonight and might opt for more weights than cardio! Thanks so much for the post!!4

Ok, so I didn’t get to the fitness center because it’s freezing rain, but no excuses. I pulled out the weights I have and got to work.
Prescott thought the workout mat was for him 🤣.
Now back to homework.

I did a very light 15minute work out with ( 2pound weights.) I haven't worked out in about two months so I'm going slow.5 -

When I first started last spring I used a program called zero. It uses no weights, just your natural body weight, but that’s what I needed because I had knee and hip pain. I also did modifications when the moves were too hard. I still use some modifications, for example on the lunges I use a chair next to me for stability and for extra support for my knees. It’s important to start wherever you are and not injure yourself. Then you’re more likely to keep at it.

Well I’m back onto days and am so happy for that. I truly commend anyone who has to do steady nights. It really does a number on me. Lol. Today wasn’t the best. I broke my no snacking goal. I love to bake and my hubby loves the sweets. He asked for some cookies so I made 5 dozen chocolate chip cookies and 2 dozen peanut butter cookies. Everything smelled so good I had eaten 3 cookies before I even realized it. I was so upset with myself. But tomorrow is another day.

So glad you found some motivation and made it to the gym, have fun crafting and show us what you're up to if you'd like. Great loss last month, wow! That is a big difference, congratulations!

@tammymccrady6278 I'm glad the nights are behind you! Oh no just get back to it, chances are with your hours your cortisol was up from not much sleep and it's harder to control cravings then. Are you good at moderating? You sound like me baking at Christmas, I love baking and rarely do anymore because I'm not the best at moderating.
Hi team, glad to see everyone's doing pretty well! I couldn't sleep and am beat, I went to the pain clinic and for some reason this nurse and I always butt heads but we did better today aside of none of my prescriptions being called in correctly. She gets on my case about things that aren't real logical, I'm waiting for a spinal cord stimulator and it's January and raining and she mentioned a medication vacation, are you insane? Today she told me I should try and get more sun after I told her it was real painful to be outside in the cold. I have no control over the weather but when I told her we'll be outside at the food bank farm next week she was excited and we got along better. Since my MRI request is a month behind being approved another went out but who knows it they'll get that either. Good news is she prescribed a topical that will help inflammation. The handyman is a trip, I keep missing him when I go out there but he did a few things and weirdly rearranged my shed a bit, it was so organized I thought someone stole stuff but who would want fabric grow bags? Workout went well and the ab challenge was good. Not much else going on, have a great Thursday team!

@JenAWhite - Hi JenA 🙋🏼♀️ and if no one else said that to themselves in Forest Gumps voice then I’m leaving this group! 🫣 I’m not poking fun that’s just one of my favorite movies!!! 😂 I’ve only been here since August but it’s my favorite thing ever! I was having such a hard time finding consistent motivational friends. My daughter and I have been going to the gym since the 1st week of December. We started trying to do half and half cardio but quickly switched to just walking in and hitting the weights! We still go for walks on occasion!
@trooworld - I have been more tired lately, probably because I get up earlier and go and do so much now. Hoping swapping back and forth from night and days won’t mess me up entirely. I love catching up in the mornings but it takes so much time when making breakfast and trying to chat with my mom. Great January loss and I’m so proud for you not eating away those stressful emotions!!! I hope you enjoy your newish phone!
@lrjogger1 - That’s exciting stuff!!! So so proud of you!!! That picture of your dog is hilarious and I love his name!!! It’s freezing rain here too so I just did a Beachbody workout tonight with light weights. I’m about 3 lbs away from my comfy zone but I don’t plan on getting comfy there for long! Let get to that goal!!!
@Brigit42 - thank you ☺️ I was usually fairly consistent with workouts but slacked off on the weights for quite a long while, it took me even longer to get my eating back on track but it finally all came together.
@tammymccrady6278 - we’ve been baking cookies too but I’ve been using other sweeteners besides sugar. 3 cookies isn’t terrible. They sound so good. I would have eaten a whole plate full 😅
@Katmary71 - I’m intrigued by this man that will voluntarily organize, and someone’s else’s things at that 😂 please keep us updated on his progress! I’m glad that the drs visit is over for you. I’m sorry it’s so cold and hard to get out and about. We have the same problem here right now but we will be back to warm this time next week and I’m ready! I need to focus on abs a bit more.
It was kind of a slow day as I really focused on catching up and logging everywhere. Crafted for a bit but mostly just looked at my phone until this evening when I walked to my brothers to grab something for my mom and then we helped my sister and the two little girls get settled into their place just as the freezing rain moved in. We won’t quite go back to our routine bc the icy weather keeps cancelling school so I’m going to find some way to get out and have some fun this weekend before I go stir crazy. Thank you all for the kind words. I’m really excited to see what this month holds!!!

Congratulations to everyone on all the losses.
I hurt my back again a few days ago but, it's better now. A friend made me a "Yoga for Dummies" video so, I think that walking and easy yoga is going to be my thing for awhile. It's gonna take me awhile to catch up on all everyones posts.
Surprisingly, I have been doing really good at getting up earlier. I allowed myself to sleep in on Sunday and I've been getting up between 8:00-8:30 am Mon.-Sat. This is huge. I've been tired trying to make this change though. I was getting up between 10:00-11:30 am everyday. Telling you this is really embarrassing but, this is huge for me. I used to get up super early but gradually just started sleeping later because I didn't really have a reason to wake up. So, I'm trying to change that.
I have a few questions, 1) Is there a habit tracker for February? 2) What does in the green mean? 3) Where is this spreadsheet some of you talk about?

Wow! I've been reading the Book Of Mission Slimpossibles....this sure is an active group! As I mentioned in my last post, I had inventory day at work yesterday, and I was working from 4:00am until about 3:30pm. I never had chance to get online to see all this activity.
@shaunarlr83 - awesome! I can definitely see a difference. Good job with the heavy lifting!
@lrjogger1 - Prescott is adorable.... he works out with you! My cat Earl works out with me. I have to keep ousting him from the workout bench, which he thinks is a cat perch.
After a tough day at work yesterday, I got home to find out that Rich's very best lifelong friend Mike had passed away. He had not been in good health, he was grossly overweight, and Rich had been saying for the past 3 or 4 years that he didn't think Mike would make 60. Well, he did make 60, but only just a few months ago. Rich phoned him yesterday and his mother answered the phone and told Rich that Mike had a massive heart attack on Monday. She had tried to call Rich at his old number (which was written down somewhere), and she didn't know enough about how to use Mike's cell phone to find the new number. She was really glad that Rich phoned when he did so that she could let him know.
So this morning I am adding a page to my "death book" explaining how to get into my phone. I figure anything that Rich can't figure out himself, he can get someone "techy" to help him and just show them the book.

Hi all. Well yesterday was kind of bad eating-wise and I got no activity but I did drink a lot of water lol. I looked back in my Tonal app (it's for our Tonal home gym) and I saw my progress in January which cheered me up. The Tonal measures my strength and gives me a strength score and mine went up quite a bit in Jan. All those stats + the loss for the month make me happy and encouraged to continue.
MY NO-ZERO DAY WIN FROM YESTERDAY: I drank 116.8 oz water and tracked everything.
My phrase for the year: "Every choice is another chance to change my health for the better."

I glad your pain clinic had some benefit. I swear MRI’s are backed up everywhere. At the university hospital here, they say it’s a year out. Which is what I needed. My last one I did in Istanbul at a private clinic and it took 3 days and cost about $25. I about fell over in disbelief of the price. I understand why some people travel for medical care, that was shockingly cheap. I hope the topical helps with your inflammation. 💐

For me, I have been busy busy busy. My daughter made it to the final round of her STEAM fair at school. So I went there today and it was great. They received amazing feedback on their “pulling water out of thin air”. My description 😂

I went for brunch with 2 of my gal pals. (More me time)
I stayed within calories, stuck to my plan. Yay 😀 I’m happy that I am not starving, eating well and feeling better.
Tips: I space my meals out enough to not feel woozy and soon enough to not be starving. It’s helped a lot. Knowing what I will eat daily helps me to keep from grabbing snacks. So meal prep/menu is key.

Happy Thursday all! Not sure how my weigh in this Saturday will go. I bought some corn muffins from a store that I don’t normally buy them from and well they are delicious but not good for calories/points. Will not buy them again unless Im buying for a group! MBA Classes started Monday, and was made a job offer on Monday as well. Still sinking in that I got a new job. So many changes right now.

@shaunarlr83 I know a man that cleans and organizes but you never see him, want me to set you up?! Sounds pretty ideal right?! I know exactly what you should do as a family with all the kids that would be so fun you'd all have a blast, go roller skating! I went a few years ago when my CRPS was in remission, it was so awesome. The music isn't as fun as when I was little (no doing the YMCA on skates) but other than that it was a blast roller skating with my nephews.
@sleepygirl79 Are you actually hungry, are used to doing it so it's routine, or is it from stress/boredom or something else? Would a healthy snack instead help where it's not completely stopping but not as bad? I used to always have dessert and after dinner now I brush my teeth and make tea instead so it replaced my dessert ritual, maybe something like that would help?
@DrewsAnna Oh no, I'm glad you bounced back fast from your back. Easy yoga sounds perfect! It's hard trying to switch hours, I'm glad you've been able to do it. I started getting up earlier with eating healthier and working out, I used to sleep until about 11 too, it's nice how much you can get done in that space. The habit tracker should be up, I just went to look for it and you're the last person to comment in there so I'm guessing you found it!

Hey hey gang! Actually slept good last night, got up and had coffee, worked out, then headed to meet my good friend for brunch. I ordered the light version of the omelet and it was just a smaller omelet and smaller portion of hash browns plus a biscuit (Black Bear Diner has great ones I can't say no to) so it was still pretty high but I'm not over much for the day. We went to the mall afterward then I headed home, the man fixing the fence was here so I needed to get back. Tomorrow's the greenhouse so I need to get to bed early, my book is starting to get good so I'm going to bed early to read for a couple hours. Have a wonderful Friday gang!

That's a huge gain. I feel so depressed. I went to visit a friend today, I had hubby drop me off at her house and I walked home. I splurged with Tacos for dinner. Tomorrow for sure I am cleaning off my treadmill. It's going to start raining again tomorrow for the foreseeable future. I feel bad that my best buddy didn't get to walk with me but, my friend has 2 dogs so, I thought it best to leave Chipper home with hubby. Anyway, I'm really tired, till tomorrow y'all!!6 -
@sleepygirl79 - Hills are great!! My mom has a great one behind her house, I’m going to start walking up and down it once all of this moisture leaves. The best way I’ve found to stop late night snacking is to just not have anything that sounds good on hand! 😂 That’s hard to do with kids around though.
@DrewsAnna - I’ve never looked at the habit tracker that was posted here but I meant to. Thank you for bringing it up again and @trooworld for sharing the link. I hope that back doesn’t flare up again! Don’t worry about that gain. You will lose it right away once you get moving again!
@micaroo4 - I’m sorry work was rough and your hubs had an even harder day. Same thing with my aunt, she barely made 65, she actually called me to make her a big birthday cake that year and told me that was the last birthday she would celebrate, she was right. Passed away a few months later. Seeing her on her death bed, her organs slowly shutting down because she was obese, is what set me on my journey to stay healthy. I never want to endure the pains she endured.

I don’t have much excitement going on this week. My kids are gone so I’m a bit bored, crafting is helping to pass the time but I’m pretty sporadic with it. My uncle invited us to eat out tonight with my cousin who is here from Mississippi for the funeral, ended up being 8 of us there! It was nice to catch up and hug my aunt and share a few laughs before tomorrows sad day. I only had a hamburger, with a lite breakfast earlier I was able to sneak in some keto sweet cream and measured it out to make sure I stayed under calories! I attempted to go to the gym but there were so many boys up there, I just came home and did some walking here and then some strength training and stretching.
