Andelane Bailey Roberts arrived at 10:20 AM today. She is 8 lbs 10 oz and 21 inches long. She has a ton of hair. And her face is all cheek. I will post pics later. (newborn photos are the greatest) Celebrating with Vodka. Now not getting to go for two weeks seems like torture. I so want to hold her.

Gary, I had to give in and turn on the heater yesterday. It is definately fall up here now.

Congrats Robin! I love brand new babies.

Had 3 glasses of wine at the retirement work event. If I didn't have a baby, I probably would have closed it down and gotten drunk.....but alas, I only stayed 2 of the 4 hours. Funny thing though.... we were each allotted 2 drink tickets. One guy was leaving so a co-worker and I swiped his unused tickets. Then everyone started giving us their tickets. I'm even a lush at work. :ohwell: Stopped for wine on the way home and split the bottle with Eric. So 5 glasses of wine. I'm a bit tired today, but not so much I didn't get up and run 2 miles this morning. I love runing in the morning, strollerless......

I'm leaving work at 2. And meeting a friend for brunch at 11. After I got take site photos. Then sitting through a workshop at lunch. So yeah....motivation is really high today. I'll probably have some wine with dinner (I'm making kabobs) tonight with my parents. SOUTH BEACH BOUND!!!

Awwww...so adorable! I can't wait to be a grandma....well err...let me rephrase that. My son is only 19..so I certainly have no problems waiting. Lol. However, I think it will be great fun. I was a rather uptight mom and look forward to just enjoying being grandma....without the daily stresses that come along with motherhood.
    Congrats again, Robin!! :drinker:

One glass of wine last night. Packing today...hopefully some exercise. Probably more wine tonight as I get myself organized. Leaving 1st thing in the morning. Should be in our villa by noon
I'll check in with what I expect will be a lot of lushiness.

Well, I have been keeping it within cals, but having wine every night. It helps me sleep:yawn:

There must be something to biological clock, because I don't have kids and even though there's nothing in me that wants a baby, I suddenly find myself thinking newborns are cute, and I never thought so before. Also, I never tried to peer into strollers to look at babies, but now I do, and often find them cute as well! I don't suppose babies are getting cuter, but it's possible!

I know I was not a cute newbown...

    Oh Robin what a sweetie!!!

Amy I am with you, no babies nor a want for babies but lately I have been all over the new babies in the family!!!!!!! I just turned 33, so biological clock...maybe but I like to ignore it

So we missed our opportunity for the Jack Johnson concert. I am a stick in the mud and waited too long and those aweosme suite tix are gone and all that is let are really expensive crappy tix....maybe next time and next time I will jump at the opportunity!!!!

So happy hour and then hopefully home early!!!!

Awwwww congrats Mama Lush!!!!!! That is such an adorable picture =} Speaking of babies, husband and I went out to dinner with his parents and aunt last night for his aunts birthday. His mom was telling me about an ob/gyn near our home that her friend loves so I went to call today to make an appointment and of course they are closed today and tomorrow. Oh well, I'll call Monday and hopefully they can get me in next week since this is when my doc said they would probably want to.

As for the other baby talk, I never even really liked kids, didn't want to hold babies nor did I find them cute and then things changed. I never thought I'd have kids but my husband knew he wanted kids so I really thought about it and truly found myself smiling at the thought of having our own little family  Here I am pregnant now and already talking to the little one who is probably only the size of a grape inside me haha. Boy how times change.

I've got a feeling this is going to be a quick pregnancy being over the holidays and all. I can't believe September is already almost over!! Fall has been in full swing here and boy would it be nice some nights to have some spiked hot cider or a scrumptious Octoberfest but next years beverages will just be that much sweeter :drinker:

    Happy Thursday lushes

Robin- Congrats! What a cutie- and quite the head of hair!

One zero so far this week. Am motivated to do another tonight as the scale was down a couple of pounds. (That I had gained from the past several months.

Cute grandkids...Mama Lush! It must be so hard not being close in proximity to them.

As far as my kids go...I prefer dogs. They are good kids and everything and I suppose they were cute and all, but dogs are cuter and a hell of a lot less money.

HA Diana!!!! True story! We have a cat and we decided after he passes away we are done with pets. When cats are too much work and responsiblity then you all know I'd never cut it with a kid

Gary-WOOHOO on the scale going down!!!

    Monday-0
    Tuesday-2oz of pineapple vodka

Friday-0 for quite possibly the first time ever on a friday
Tomorrow we have a family party, so I will be drinking beers and vodka and whatever else I can get my hand on :)

I am so looking forward to this day being over so I can lay on my couch. Sadly I have to run errands on the way home, BOOO!!!!

Kate, I am done with pets when ours are gone. We just gave custody of the horse this month to the place that he boards because they did not want us to sell him. My good-girl Shelby will be put down with the first of the frost because her hips are going. It's going to be hard to do, but her arthritis and pain meds are crazy expensive each month. That leaves 1 dog and 1 cat. Ron and I want to be free.

So, last night was drinks and apps with my hubs and BFF...

    Monday, 0
    Tuesday, 0
    Wednesday, 0
    Thursday, 5 - 2 20oz beers and one Vodka/Soda
    Friday, 0

Going to barre yoga tonight...work tomorrow and Sunday

It is so sad having to put down an animal. We lost our other cat a few months ago. He was just getting worse, even though we was eating and drinking and using the box we couldn't let him get worse. Its an act of kindness to not let them suffer

I will always have dogs but I will never get a cat again. All 3 of ours are jerks, Angel has sprayed his whole life so then the little one thinks it's okay to go to the bathroom other places than their boxes and now my third one Mittens is also thinking it's okay :explode: My pups on the other hand are amazing and I couldn't imagine a life without pup a lups  Husband keeps reminding me that 2 of our kitties are old, around 12 or older and he keeps saying they'll be dead soon and then the little one will settle down. That thought is bittersweet for me, I love them to pieces but also don't want them ruining our home :ohwell: Until then I may be looking into kitty diapers.

Awww - Happy Birthday Ashley...funny how 3 of us are back-to-back....Is everyone a lushy Libra?

Our cat actually acts like a dog...he even growls when people walk past the house. If you ignore him tho, he will bite your ankle for attention. Luckily, he doesn't spray.

Tonight must be a zero because of yesterday. I have dinner plans for both Sunday & Monday.

I'm engrossed in the Breaking Bad marathon right now.

Ooo, Breaking Bad marathon, I been there!

    Happy Birthday, Ashley!

My cats are jerks too! But I love them anyway. I have had them for all their 12 years and they are sisters. They barf all the time and sometimes go outside the box. I don't know why?! I guess they are getting old but I swear they will outlive me. But they are my cross to bear:devil: :ohwell:

Last night I had a beer with my pizza and some white wine with my benedryl before bed. My allergies are killin me!

Kate you MUST get Netflix, it's amazing and Breaking Bad is just the best, I can't believe it's all ending on Sunday  guh, I hate when such good shows end. As for the kitties, Angel is fixed so that isn't the problem, he's just sprayed his whole silly life and the vet has no idea why. We do need to get our little one fixed but I think she more so goes outside the box because she thinks it's okay since Angel does it and she smells where he has gone because as we all know cat urine is friggin' impossible to get out  Since we got Angel from my Gram we have locked him in our spare bathroom when we leave or go to sleep. It's a good sized bathroom so he has roaming space, has a bed up on the counter as well as his water so he's just fine and that way he doesn't just spray all over the house. Also if I put snuggies on them they tend to act like they can't stand up so they just sleep for the most part which helps. The kitty diapers have suspenders I believe so they just look even sillier than they sound

Asjerven I really don't know why cats go outside the box, they're just jerkfaces haha. Even if the box is freshly cleaned our little one will poop right outside the box, I mean c'mon!

Happy birthday Ashley!!!!!! So many birthdays lately and a new grand baby, we have been quite the celebratory thread
